I strongly welcome allied action taken today to exclude seven Russian banks from SWIFT. This crucial step will cut those banks out of a service facilitating trillions of pounds of financial transactions and will severely hamper Russia’s ability to trade with other countries.

Today I've written to all UK ports asking them not to provide access to any Russian flagged, registered, owned, controlled, chartered or operated vessels. Given Putin's action in I've made clear these vessels are NOT welcome here with prohibiting legislation to follow.
