This is something very important that I got to tell you all, because many lives are in danger of getting diseases like cholera and typhoid.

In Uganda there is this orphanage that holds over 50 children and it is ran by a man named Yazid who tries hard to take care of them. The children are fed, educated, and housed here. Unfortunately for these people, a lot of hardship has went their way this month. They have been through a lot this past month, a rent that was due was almost not even paid, living on food shortages or having no food at all, and also having their water purifier breaking down. For seven days they have went without CLEAN WATER. Think about that for a second, imagine that the only water you can drink was not clean. This would be very bad for anybody who couldn't afford treatment for diseases that would result from drinking unclean or unsafe water.

(I want to preface this by saying, it is my fault things have become so dire. Back in October, I begin experiencing intense pains in my spine, neck, and rest of body. This month, it got worse, and I’ve been in pretty much agony physically. It’s the worst pain I’ve been in my entire life. I’ve also been having trouble writing, and with my fine motor skills. My doctors are about 99% sure now that I have multiple sclerosis, but I’m being sent in for a ton of testing next week and some specialists to be sure. 

Because of this, although Yazid has been working very hard, I was struggling to. And so it’s MY fault, not his, that this is so late. Please don’t blame him! He works so so so hard.)

Anyway! Hi, I’m Madison, if you have not seen my posts before! I am a volunteer for God Provides, an orphanage in Buguri, Uganda, that is run by my close friend Yazid @godprovidesministry01 on the principle of making children feel safe, cared about, and to help them gain a sense of hope for the future. Yazid is so good to these kids, and wants to change the way orphans are treated for the better. The orphanage houses, feeds, and educates over 50 orphans, and also helps and takes in struggling families. He and everyone who works at or cares about the orphanage is saving these kids lives.

However, we are in a crisis. The rent is due in only a couple days, and we haven’t made any of it yet. Volunteers have been very busy, and Yazid has been recovering from surgery to his arm, as well as my multiple sclerosis diagnosis, so it’s been extra difficult this month!

The orphanage is also struggling to afford food, and really needs some. I send whatever I can, but I’m relying on food banks myself, and haven’t been able to help much.
