Thousands of hours of TV shows and movies from Stan are available to watch offline, so now you can watch Stan anytime, anywhere without using up your precious data!

If you're planning on travelling overseas, you can download titles from Stan

This feature is available on iPhones, iPads & iPod Touches (iOS version 9.3 and above) and Android mobile devices (version 4.4 and above). At this stage, offline download is not available on Windows 10.

Please follow the instructions below to get started.

iOS+

Download a Movie or TV show+

  1. The majority of Stan’s catalogue/library is available to download and watch anytime, anywhere. Browse Stan's content library to find a title you would like to download.

  2. If the selected title is available for download, you will see a download icon in the synopsis. Tap on Download to start downloading the title.
    Please note that you can set the default video quality of your downloads in App Settings. Please be aware that if you choose to download titles in high quality, it will take up more storage space on your device.

    If you do not see the Download button, please make sure that your device is running iOS version 9.3 and above or Android 4.3 and above. Please refer to instructions above if you need to update your device.

    For TV shows, you can find the download icon next to each episode in the series.

  3. Once the download has started, you can track it's progress in Menu > My Downloads. You can also cancel the download by tapping the Stop icon.

  4. Once your download is complete, it will become available for you to watch anytime in Menu > My Downloads without using up internet data.

Watch anytime, anywhere+

  1. To start watching your downloaded shows and movies, go to Menu > My Downloads.

  2. Press the Play icon on the downloaded title you want to watch.
    For TV shows, you will need to select the show you want to watch first, then press the Play icon on the episode you want to watch.

Manage your downloads+

  1. You can delete your downloads by going to Menu > My Downloads.

  2. Press Edit on the top right of the screen.

  3. Press the Delete-Icon.jpg icon for the title you want to delete.
    Deleting a TV show title will delete all of the downloaded episodes. If you only want to delete a specific episode, select the show first before pressing Edit.

  4. Press OK to confirm that you want to delete the download and it will be removed from your My Downloads list. Repeat the steps above for any other downloads you would like to delete.
    The confirmation pop-up will only appear if you are deleting an entire TV show series.

    You can download titles across a limited number of devices depending on your subscription plan. All downloads are stored locally on each device and will not be synced across your other iOS and Android devices.

Android+

Download a Movie or TV show+

  1. The majority of Stan’s catalogue/library is available to download and watch anytime, anywhere. To get started, tap the Downloads icon at the bottom of the app.

  2. From there, you will be able to tap the Find Something to Download button to browse a range of titles that are available to download.

    Alternatively, if you prefer, you can search for your favourite TV shows or movies using the search icon at the bottom of the app. From there, select the title from the search options. If the title is available to download, the download icon will appear. Tap on Download to start downloading the title.
    Please note that you can set the default video quality of your downloads in App Settings. Please be aware that if you choose to download titles in high quality, it will take up more storage space on your device.

    If you do not see the Download button, please make sure that your device is running iOS version 9.3 and above. Please refer to instructions above if you need to update your device.

  4. Once the download has started, you can track its progress by tapping on the Downloads icon at the bottom of the app. You can also cancel the download by tapping the Stop icon.

At this stage, Offline Download is not available on laptop or desktop devices. 

Watch anytime, anywhere+

  1. To start watching your downloaded shows and movies, tap Downloads.

  2. Press the Play icon on the downloaded title you want to watch.
    For TV shows, you will need to select the show you want to watch first, then press the Play icon on the episode you want to watch.
