T. Rex were an English rock band, formed in 1967 by singer-songwriter and guitarist Marc Bolan. The band initally called Tyrannosaurus Rex, released four folk albums under this banner. In 1970, Bolan began to make a shift from basing his band's sound around an acoustic guitar to basing it around an electric one and shortened their name to T. Rex. "Ride a White Swan" coincided with this change and instantly became a commercial success. From 1970 until 1973, T. Rex encountered in the UK a popularity unseen since the demise of the Beatles, with a run of 11 singles ranked in the British top ten. 1971's Electric Warrior received sustained critical acclaim as a pioneering album of glam rock. It reached the number 1 position in the UK. The follow-up, 1972's The Slider, allowed the band to enter in the top 5 in the USA. At the end of 1973, T. Rex started to have less commercial success but kept on recording one album per year.
In 1977, Bolan died in a car accident a couple of months after releasing their final studio album Dandy in the Underworld. Since then, T. Rex have continued to exert a vast influence on a variety of subsequent artists.
T-Rex is a Prehistoric themed restaurant that includes a gift shop, along with animatronic dinosaurs that move and roar. T-Rex has differently-themed restaurant sections, such as prehistoric insects (which includes enlarged animatronic insects), ice age (which includes ice caves and animatronic mammoths), and under the sea (complete with jellyfish ceiling and large aquarium). In the dinosaur-themed area, a gift shop allows customers to "Build-A-Dino", which is provided by Build-A-Bear Workshop, who works in partnership with T-Rex.
T-Rex is owned by Landry's Restaurants, which started back in 1980 in Katy, Texas. Landry's went private in 2010 when Tilman Fertitta, the CEO of Landry's and a large shareholder, made an offer to buy all shares. Landry's is no longer traded on the NYSE.
"Shame on You" was the Danish entry in the Eurovision Song Contest 2004, performed in English by Tomas Thordarson.
The song was performed in Danish at Dansk Melodi Grand Prix in 2004, titled "Sig det' løgn" ("Say it's a lie").
As Denmark had not finished in the top 10 at the 2003 Contest (they had in fact not even been permitted to perform), the song was performed in the semi-final. Here, it was performed nineteenth (following Croatia's Ivan Mikulić with "You Are The Only One" and preceding Serbia and Montenegro's Željko Joksimović & Ad Hoc Orchestra with "Lane Moje"). At the close of voting, it had received 56 points, placing 13th in a field of 22 and missing out on qualification to the final by three places (15 points), thus requiring Denmark to qualify from the semi-final in their next Contest appearance.
The song is sung from the perspective of a man telling his lover that he is tired of the lies on which their relationship is founded. He sings that "you're my fire, you're my desire" in an attempt to keep the relationship alive. While Thordarson himself is gay, the lyrics do not suggest either a straight or gay relationship.
"Shame on You" is a single from the Indigo Girls album Shaming of the Sun released in 1997. The song's lyrics celebrate Chicano culture ("I go down to Chicano city park/cause it makes me feel so fine") and strongly criticize efforts against illegal immigration as being racist ("The white folks like to pretend it's not/but their music's in the air") and hypocritical ("They say we be looking for illegal immigrants/can we check your car/I say you know it's funny I think we were on the same boat/back in 1694").
Steve Earle sings backup and plays harmonica on the song.
The song was inspired by filmmaker David Zeiger's documentary Displaced in the New South.
Rex is Latin for "king", see Rex (king). Specifically, it was the title of the kings of ancient Rome.

Regional Express (also known as Rex) is an Australian airline based in Mascot, New South Wales. It operates scheduled regional services. It is Australia's largest regional airline outside the Qantas group of companies and serves New South Wales, South Australia, Victoria, North Queensland, Tasmania and Western Australia. Its entire fleet consists of 49 Swedish built Saab 340 turboprop aircraft seating 33, 34 or 36 passengers. Rex formerly flew some Fairchild Metro 23s.
The airline was established in 2002 when the Australiawide Airlines consortium (set up by former Ansett Australia employees) acquired Hazelton Airlines and Kendell Airlines, merged the two companies and started operations in August 2002 as Rex. In 2005, Australiawide Airlines was renamed Regional Express Holdings and partially floated on the Australian Securities Exchange. On 30 November 2005, Rex announced the acquisition of the Dubbo-based Air Link, another regional airline.
In October 2007, Rex expanded into Queensland when it commenced operations between Brisbane and Maryborough. This exacerbated an existing problem within the company of not having enough pilots to crew its flights (due to the expansion of larger airlines, especially Jetstar Airways and Virgin Blue), and Rex suspended operations out of Brisbane (and from Sydney to Cooma during the summer "low season" for this route to the NSW ski fields) in November 2007. To provide a medium-term solution to the pilot shortage, Rex announced that it was establishing a cadet-pilot flight-training programme. At the same time, Rex announced the impending retirement of Managing director Geoff Breust.

T. Rex were an English rock band, formed in 1967 by singer-songwriter and guitarist Marc Bolan. The band was initially called Tyrannosaurus Rex, and released four psychedelic folk albums under this name. In 1969, Bolan began to shift from the band's early acoustic sound to an electric one. The following year, he shortened their name to T. Rex. The 1970 release of the single "Ride a White Swan" marked the culmination of this development, and the group soon became a commercial success as part of the emerging glam rock scene.

T. Rex were a British glam rock band formed in 1967 by singer/ songwriter and guitarist Marc Bolan. The band formed as Tyrannosaurus Rex, releasing four underground folk albums under the name. Tony Visconti (their producer for several albums) claimed in a documentary on the band that he had taken the abbreviated term "T. Rex" as a shorthand. This initially irritated Bolan, who gradually came around to the idea and officially shortened the band's name to "T. Rex" at roughly the same time they started having their first big hits (and shortly after going electric). After earning success in the early and mid-1970s, the band broke up after Bolan was killed in a 1977 car accident. In 1971 T. Rex performed their Hit Single "Jeepster" live at the Beat Club Show in Bremen

Torch girl of the marshes
Her kiss is a whip of the moon
Dawn's damsels are dancing
To the hum of her sunny young tune
Gems hemmed in the heart's head
The shield of the rivers is hers
She one told me to think white
And the night disappeared like a bird
Hold the glove of gold behind you
