Inspired by Rock and Roll and concerts while growing up, he eventually found the Grateful Dead which had an amazing following and VIBE that went along with it. Touring all over the country for10 years, it only ended when the leader of the band passed away. Kinda lost at this point he got into Alternative Rock and Jam Bands for the next few years. Then on one faithful night at one of the early Camp Bisco Festivals in 2006 something amazing happened. After a jammin set by the Disco Biscuits, a DJ came on. His name was Simon Posford (aka Hallucinogen). It was the first time he'd experienced a DJ main act other than a very fuzzy rememberance of The Orb at Woodstock 94. He was blown away by the very different type of music that he had never encountered before. It was ROCKIN, Psychedelic and very danceable . The people around him were so into it and friendly it reminded him of his old Grateful Dead days. The next night a UK duo called Eat Static solidified his interest in this cool amazing thing called PSYTRANCE. After this experience he thought he had found the Holy Grail and decided to spread the word and THE VIBE. The next festival's he attended were the Gaian Mind and The Orb Festival. After those experiences he was completely sold and motivated. So he went home and learned to DJ and then started throwing parties in 2007. THE RADIAL ENGINE TRIBE was born! Rob and his Tribe are characterized by tirelessly providing a great experience for the love of Psychedelic Trance Music and it's unique culture. The early outdoor events didn't have a lot of draw and always lost money, but the people who made them had a great time and kept coming back. The bar/club parties were limited but fun. His first International Artist was EVP (Wildthings Records) from UK. Rob's house parties are legendary and have been headlined by such artist as Mubali (Parvati Records) and most of the Northeast's finest talent. After throwing many free/donation-based multi-day parties at various locations in Upstate New York like "The Back Field to the Future" series, THE RADIAL ENGINE TRIBE and EastCoast PsyTribe put together the Respect Gathering at Echo Lake, our biggest success yet. All he can say is it was worth it to bring happiness to the world in a very special way. Now spreading it's wings THE RADIAL ENGINE TRIBE has recently joined the city scene with their first event in Feburary 2012 in Brooklyn featuring Dragon and plans to continue to bring Psychedelic Trance Parties to New York and the North East through 2012 and beyond.
