The Sandmen - one of my latest discoveries from early 90's period, obscure Manchester indie rock band with baggy & dub influences who released only two singles, ''Dust Devil EP'' in 1993 and ''Tighten Up EP'' in 1994, both for Lola Records.

''Dust Devil'' is amazing single, one of the best i've heard in the last few months, i want to hear more tracks from this band, i hope someone have copy of ''Tighten Up EP'' to share with us on the blog.

The Candy Thieves were pre-Adorable band formed by Piotr Fijalkowski in 1988 in Coventry. This was their only record including early version of "Homeboy" and baggy madchester tune "Underwater". In 1990 they changed their name into Adorable.

They released three singles: Silence Is The Virtue Of Fools (1993), Alcohol (1993) and Kid Whiskey (1994).

''Land Of Barbara EP'' is great cassette promo single, self released by the band in 1993.

In 1989 band members formed great baggy band Sp!n and released one album ''In Motion'' in 1991 and three singles: Scratches (In The Sand), Hot Blood EP and Let's Pretend.

Guernica was an Irish band active from 1985 since 1989. Guernica took a heavy New Order/Joy Division influence and mixed it with indie/C86/jangle-pop sounds. They also incorporated lighter, rockabilly touches to fantastic effect. After a debut single on Solid, they signed to Idol Records in London and released one acclaimed single ''Orange And Red''.

''Humming Of The Engine'' was their third single released in 1988 on Miss Pedestal label.

I like when bands are experimenting with electronica and use drum machines and samplers in their music. Fantastic single, re-released in 1994 and remixed by Manchester band Eskimos & Egypt !!!

Third Eye was a band from Melbourne, Australia, consisting originally of Gus Till and Ollie Olsen, and later Olsen on his own. The early style was techno pop, including a version of Russell Morris’s “The Real Thing” on their eponymous album, then trance on the ''Ancient Future'' album, and then later into more electronic ambience and experimental music. 
I'm looking for cd version of this single, with Peter Lorimer's remix of ''Behold The Angel Of Frequency'', i have lot of readers of my blog from Australia, i'm sure someone have copy and will help me.

Notes :

Obscure early 90's UK indie rock band who were based in the Todmorden area.

Members included: Deborah Szumowski (guitar, vocals), David Brogan (bass, vocals), Richard Moran (drums), Robert Duffy (guitar, vocals). They broke up in 1991.

 

They released two singles: ''Stevenson EP'' and ''Invitation EP''. Compilation self titled album was released in 1991, only in Italy.

One of the bands that was long time on my Most Wanted records list, once again big thanks to my friend Leon who helped me to find this hard to find record.

I hope that someone will help me to find other Langfield Crane records, to complete their discography.
