Cloning 101
The ability to create a clone used to be science fiction. Dr. Ian Wilmut's group changed that in 1997 with the creation of Dolly the sheep. Since then the debate on applying the technique to clone human beings has been ongoing.
Based on all the discussion, it may sound like cloning, human or otherwise, is an easy process. Find out what is actually involved in the cloning process by viewing our short animation.

Human Clones in Near Future? | First Monkey Clones Created in Chinese Laboratory Raise Concerns
Starting with Dolly the sheep in 1996, humans have cloned a lot of animals. Chinese scientists cloned two monkeys Zhong Zhong and Hua Hua in the Chinese Academy of Science in 2017. Scientists say populations of monkeys that are genetically identical will be useful for research into human diseases. But critics say the work raises ethical concerns by bringing the world closer to human cloning

Why We Still Haven't Cloned Humans — It's Not Just Ethics
We've technically been able to clone human beings for almost a decade. So, why haven't we? The answer has way more to do with science than morality. Not only is cloning inefficient and dangerous, there's just not a good enough reason to make a human this way. But making entire copies of people isn't the only way we can potentially use cloning to benefit humans.
