Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) Arrival Tour Malaysia: Immigration, Customs, Currency Exchange. Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) is Malaysia's main international airport and one of the major airports in Southeast Asia and worldwide. It is located in Sepang District of Selangor, approximately 45 kilometres (28 mi) south of Kuala Lumpur city centre. It was opened on June 27 1998 and was built on a site spanning 100 square km.
KLIA is the largest and busiest airport in Malaysia. In 2017, it handled 58,554,627 passengers and 710,186 tonnes of cargo. It is the world's 23rd-busiest airport by total passenger traffic.

How to Arrive at Kuala Lumpur Airport in Malaysia. We have just landed at Kuala Lumpur Airport (KUL) also called KLIA, Kuala Lumpur International Airport. In this video we show you what Arriving at Kuala Lumpur Airport is like and we will show you the Arrival Procedure. This Arrival Tour will show you our experiences when we arrived at this Malaysia Airport on a Turkish Airlines flight from Istanbul. The video starts with us disembarking our Turkish Airlines Aircraft out into the Kuala Lumpur Airport Satellite Terminal. At this point we make our way through the airport terminal past gates and Duty Free Shops towards the airport train shuttle called the Aerotrain.

The Aerotrain connects the Kuala Lumpur International Airport Satellite Terminal with the Airports main building. After taking the train, we arrive at the KLIA Main Terminal Building. Once again we walk pass Duty Free Shops continuously following the yellow Information signs directing us to Immigration / Customs, Baggage Reclaim and the Arrival Hall. Our first stop is Immigration also called Passport Control. We do not film at Immigration / Passport Control as filming and photographing is not allowed. At Immigration / Passport control our Passports are checked, we are photographed and our fingerprints are taken (all electronically). Once we have passed Immigration we make our way to the Baggage Reclaim Area. Check the Baggage Reclaim Information Screens to see which Baggage Belt your Flight Numbers luggage will be delivered on. After receiving our luggage we begin making our way towards the Arrival Hall. Just before the Arrivals Hall we pass through Customs. We do not film the Kuala Lumpur Airport Customs area as filming and photography are not allowed there either. After Customs Control we pass various booths offering SIM Cards, Currency Exchange, Tickets for the KLIA Ekspres, Car Rental and Hotel Reservations before Arriving in the Kuala Lumpur International Airport Arrival Hall where the video ends off. This video includes footage from our arrival at Kuala Lumpur Airport where we show you around the Departure Area / Check-in Area in the Main Departures Hall for International Flights. We show you some of the shops, restaurants and other services that are available in this area of the airport.
After Check-in for our Thai Airways flight (this is the Check-in area for most if not all International Flights from Kuala Lumpur Airport including Malaysia Airlines International Flights) we make our way through Immigration and Security Check and arrive in the Passenger Departures Area. From the Passenger Departures Hall we show you a few of the Duty Free Shops before we hop onto the Airport Terminal Train, called the Aerotrain, and make our way from the Kuala Lumpur Airport Main Terminal Building to the Kuala Lumpur Airport Satellite Terminal Building. The train shuttle trip between the two airport terminals takes around 2 minutes. Once we arrive at our Departure Terminal we present the beautiful center piece of the Terminal, the KLIA Jungle Boardwalk which is a beautiful Open-Air Green Oasis complete with a waterfall located in the middle of the Terminal Building. We have visited Kuala Lumpur Airport before and have made a detailed video from the Departures Area, we had a Transfer at this Airport. In this Kuala Lumpur Airport Departure video we take you with us through Kuala Lumpur International Airport on what was to be our last Long-haul journey before the coronavirus struck and ended all leisure travel as we know it! Our video begins at Kuala Lumpur Airport´s (KLIA) Arrival Area where we have just arrived by taxi from the Kuala Lumpur city centre. From this point we take you through the airport with us and show you what it feels like to be a passenger departing from this Malaysian Airport.

We will show you the Departure Hall where all the Check-In Desks are located. We actually spend a bit of time there as we arrived at Kuala Lumpur Airport (KLIA) very early so the Check-in Desks for our Turkish Airlines flight from Kuala Lumpur to Istanbul were not open yet. That gave us some time to take a good walk through the Departures / Check-in Area and even gave us time to take you along with us to the airport Burger King for a meal. When we had Checked-in we passed through Immigration / Passport Control and then a Customs Check-Point in the main Kuala Lumpur Airport Terminal Airport. We stopped to admire the model planes located just after the Customs Checkpoint before hopping onto the KLIA Airport Train Shuttle, called the Aerotrain, which took us from the KLIA Main Terminal to the Satellite Terminal Building from where the Gate for our flight was located. We did not include the whole KLIA Aerotrain train ride in this video, but instead left a link to one of our other Kuala Lumpur videos which shows the train ride in detail. Once we arrived at the Satellite Terminal Building we quickly made our way through the airport towards the Departure Gate of our flight so that we were sure where it was. On the way there we passed some Duty Free Shops, the Airport´s Jungle Walk, Restaurants and a Café. As there were a few hours to spare before boarding began for our flight we spent them having a coffee at one of the airport coffee shops. This was our last Long-haul flight and 2 months after that the coronavirus paralyzed Leisure Travel throughout the world!

Background
The ground breaking ceremony for Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) took place on 1 June 1993 when the government decided that the existing Kuala Lumpur airport, then known as Subang International Airport (now Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport) could not handle future demand. It was created as part of the Multimedia Super Corridor, a grand development plan for Malaysia.

In this video we show you what Arriving at Kuala Lumpur Airport is like and we will show you the Arrival Procedure. This Arrival Tour will show you our experiences when we arrived at this Malaysia Airport on a Turkish Airlines flight from Istanbul. The video starts with us disembarking our Turkish Airlines Aircraft out into the Kuala Lumpur Airport Satellite Terminal. At this point we make our way through the airport terminal past gates and Duty Free Shops towards the airport train shuttle called the Aerotrain.

The Aerotrain connects the Kuala Lumpur International Airport Satellite Terminal with the Airports main building. After taking the train, we arrive at the KLIA Main Terminal Building. Once again we walk pass Duty Free Shops continuously following the yellow Information signs directing us to Immigration / Customs, Baggage Reclaim and the Arrival Hall. Our first stop is Immigration also called Passport Control. We do not film at Immigration / Passport Control as filming and photographing is not allowed. At Immigration / Passport control our Passports are checked, we are photographed and our fingerprints are taken (all electronically). Once we have passed Immigration we make our way to the Baggage Reclaim Area. Check the Baggage Reclaim Information Screens to see which Baggage Belt your Flight Numbers luggage will be delivered on. After receiving our luggage we begin making our way towards the Arrival Hall. Just before the Arrivals Hall we pass through Customs. We do not film the Kuala Lumpur Airport Customs area as filming and photography are not allowed there either. After Customs Control we pass various booths offering SIM Cards, Currency Exchange, Tickets for the KLIA Ekspres, Car Rental and Hotel Reservations before Arriving in the Kuala Lumpur International Airport Arrival Hall where the video ends off. This video includes footage from our arrival at Kuala Lumpur Airport where we show you around the Departure Area / Check-in Area in the Main Departures Hall for International Flights. We show you some of the shops, restaurants and other services that are available in this area of the airport.
After Check-in for our Thai Airways flight (this is the Check-in area for most if not all International Flights from Kuala Lumpur Airport including Malaysia Airlines International Flights) we make our way through Immigration and Security Check and arrive in the Passenger Departures Area. From the Passenger Departures Hall we show you a few of the Duty Free Shops before we hop onto the Airport Terminal Train, called the Aerotrain, and make our way from the Kuala Lumpur Airport Main Terminal Building to the Kuala Lumpur Airport Satellite Terminal Building. The train shuttle trip between the two airport terminals takes around 2 minutes. Once we arrive at our Departure Terminal we present the beautiful center piece of the Terminal, the KLIA Jungle Boardwalk which is a beautiful Open-Air Green Oasis complete with a waterfall located in the middle of the Terminal Building. We have visited Kuala Lumpur Airport before and have made a detailed video from the Departures Area, we had a Transfer at this Airport. This video includes footage from our arrival at Kuala Lumpur Airport where we show you around the Departure Area / Check-in Area in the Main Departures Hall for International Flights. We show you some of the shops, restaurants and other services that are available in this area of the airport.
After Check-in for our Thai Airways flight (this is the Check-in area for most if not all International Flights from Kuala Lumpur Airport including Malaysia Airlines International Flights) we make our way through Immigration and Security Check and arrive in the Passenger Departures Area. From the Passenger Departures Hall we show you a few of the Duty Free Shops before we hop onto the Airport Terminal Train, called the Aerotrain, and make our way from the Kuala Lumpur Airport Main Terminal Building to the Kuala Lumpur Airport Satellite Terminal Building. The train shuttle trip between the two airport terminals takes around 2 minutes. Once we arrive at our Departure Terminal we present the beautiful center piece of the Terminal, the KLIA Jungle Boardwalk which is a beautiful Open-Air Green Oasis complete with a waterfall located in the middle of the Terminal Building. We have visited Kuala Lumpur Airport before and have made a detailed video from the Departures Area, we had a Transfer at this Airport. In this Kuala Lumpur Airport Departure video we take you with us through Kuala Lumpur International Airport on what was to be our last Long-haul journey before the coronavirus struck and ended all leisure travel as we know it! Our video begins at Kuala Lumpur Airport´s (KLIA) Arrival Area where we have just arrived by taxi from the Kuala Lumpur city centre. From this point we take you through the airport with us and show you what it feels like to be a passenger departing from this Malaysian Airport.

We will show you the Departure Hall where all the Check-In Desks are located. We actually spend a bit of time there as we arrived at Kuala Lumpur Airport (KLIA) very early so the Check-in Desks for our Turkish Airlines flight from Kuala Lumpur to Istanbul were not open yet. That gave us some time to take a good walk through the Departures / Check-in Area and even gave us time to take you along with us to the airport Burger King for a meal. When we had Checked-in we passed through Immigration / Passport Control and then a Customs Check-Point in the main Kuala Lumpur Airport Terminal Airport. We stopped to admire the model planes located just after the Customs Checkpoint before hopping onto the KLIA Airport Train Shuttle, called the Aerotrain, which took us from the KLIA Main Terminal to the Satellite Terminal Building from where the Gate for our flight was located. We did not include the whole KLIA Aerotrain train ride in this video, but instead left a link to one of our other Kuala Lumpur videos which shows the train ride in detail. Once we arrived at the Satellite Terminal Building we quickly made our way through the airport towards the Departure Gate of our flight so that we were sure where it was. On the way there we passed some Duty Free Shops, the Airport´s Jungle Walk, Restaurants and a Café. As there were a few hours to spare before boarding began for our flight we spent them having a coffee at one of the airport coffee shops. This was our last Long-haul flight and 2 months after that the coronavirus paralyzed Leisure Travel throughout the world!

Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) Arrival Tour Malaysia: Immigration, Customs, Currency Exchange. Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) is Malaysia's main international airport and one of the major airports in Southeast Asia and worldwide. It is located in Sepang District of Selangor, approximately 45 kilometres (28 mi) south of Kuala Lumpur city centre. It was opened on June 27 1998 and was built on a site spanning 100 square km.
KLIA is the largest and busiest airport in Malaysia. In 2017, it handled 58,554,627 passengers and 710,186 tonnes of cargo. It is the world's 23rd-busiest airport by total passenger traffic.
The airport is operated by Malaysia Airports (MAHB) Sepang Sdn Bhd and is the major hub of Malaysia Airlines, MASkargo, AirAsia, AirAsia X, Malindo Air, flyGlobal, UPS Airlines and AsiaCargo Express.

How to Arrive at Kuala Lumpur Airport in Malaysia. We have just landed at Kuala Lumpur Airport (KUL) also called KLIA, Kuala Lumpur International Airport. In this video we show you what Arriving at Kuala Lumpur Airport is like and we will show you the Arrival Procedure. This Arrival Tour will show you our experiences when we arrived at this Malaysia Airport on a Turkish Airlines flight from Istanbul. The video starts with us disembarking our Turkish Airlines Aircraft out into the Kuala Lumpur Airport Satellite Terminal. At this point we make our way through the airport terminal past gates and Duty Free Shops towards the airport train shuttle called the Aerotrain.

The Aerotrain connects the Kuala Lumpur International Airport Satellite Terminal with the Airports main building. After taking the train, we arrive at the KLIA Main Terminal Building. Once again we walk pass Duty Free Shops continuously following the yellow Information signs directing us to Immigration / Customs, Baggage Reclaim and the Arrival Hall. Our first stop is Immigration also called Passport Control. We do not film at Immigration / Passport Control as filming and photographing is not allowed. At Immigration / Passport control our Passports are checked, we are photographed and our fingerprints are taken (all electronically). Once we have passed Immigration we make our way to the Baggage Reclaim Area. Check the Baggage Reclaim Information Screens to see which Baggage Belt your Flight Numbers luggage will be delivered on. After receiving our luggage we begin making our way towards the Arrival Hall. Just before the Arrivals Hall we pass through Customs. We do not film the Kuala Lumpur Airport Customs area as filming and photography are not allowed there either. After Customs Control we pass various booths offering SIM Cards, Currency Exchange, Tickets for the KLIA Ekspres, Car Rental and Hotel Reservations before Arriving in the Kuala Lumpur International Airport Arrival Hall where the video ends off. This video includes footage from our arrival at Kuala Lumpur Airport where we show you around the Departure Area / Check-in Area in the Main Departures Hall for International Flights. We show you some of the shops, restaurants and other services that are available in this area of the airport.
After Check-in for our Thai Airways flight (this is the Check-in area for most if not all International Flights from Kuala Lumpur Airport including Malaysia Airlines International Flights) we make our way through Immigration and Security Check and arrive in the Passenger Departures Area. From the Passenger Departures Hall we show you a few of the Duty Free Shops before we hop onto the Airport Terminal Train, called the Aerotrain, and make our way from the Kuala Lumpur Airport Main Terminal Building to the Kuala Lumpur Airport Satellite Terminal Building. The train shuttle trip between the two airport terminals takes around 2 minutes. Once we arrive at our Departure Terminal we present the beautiful center piece of the Terminal, the KLIA Jungle Boardwalk which is a beautiful Open-Air Green Oasis complete with a waterfall located in the middle of the Terminal Building. We have visited Kuala Lumpur Airport before and have made a detailed video from the Departures Area, we had a Transfer at this Airport. In this Kuala Lumpur Airport Departure video we take you with us through Kuala Lumpur International Airport on what was to be our last Long-haul journey before the coronavirus struck and ended all leisure travel as we know it! Our video begins at Kuala Lumpur Airport´s (KLIA) Arrival Area where we have just arrived by taxi from the Kuala Lumpur city centre. From this point we take you through the airport with us and show you what it feels like to be a passenger departing from this Malaysian Airport.

We will show you the Departure Hall where all the Check-In Desks are located. We actually spend a bit of time there as we arrived at Kuala Lumpur Airport (KLIA) very early so the Check-in Desks for our Turkish Airlines flight from Kuala Lumpur to Istanbul were not open yet. That gave us some time to take a good walk through the Departures / Check-in Area and even gave us time to take you along with us to the airport Burger King for a meal. When we had Checked-in we passed through Immigration / Passport Control and then a Customs Check-Point in the main Kuala Lumpur Airport Terminal Airport. We stopped to admire the model planes located just after the Customs Checkpoint before hopping onto the KLIA Airport Train Shuttle, called the Aerotrain, which took us from the KLIA Main Terminal to the Satellite Terminal Building from where the Gate for our flight was located. We did not include the whole KLIA Aerotrain train ride in this video, but instead left a link to one of our other Kuala Lumpur videos which shows the train ride in detail. Once we arrived at the Satellite Terminal Building we quickly made our way through the airport towards the Departure Gate of our flight so that we were sure where it was. On the way there we passed some Duty Free Shops, the Airport´s Jungle Walk, Restaurants and a Café. As there were a few hours to spare before boarding began for our flight we spent them having a coffee at one of the airport coffee shops. This was our last Long-haul flight and 2 months after that the coronavirus paralyzed Leisure Travel throughout the world!

KLIA is the largest and busiest airport in Malaysia. In 2014, it handled 48,930,409 passengers and 753,899 tonnes of cargo. It is the world's 20th-busiest airport by total passenger traffic, 13th-busiest airport by international passenger traffic, and 28th-busiest airport by cargo traffic.
The airport is operated by Malaysia Airports (MAHB) Sepang Sdn Bhd and is the major hub of Malaysia Airlines, MASkargo, AirAsia, AirAsia X, Malindo Air and Rayani Air.
History
Background
The ground breaking ceremony for Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) took place on 1 June 1993 when the government decided that the existing Kuala Lumpur airport, then known as Subang International Airport (now Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport) could not handle future demand. It was created as part of the Multimedia Super Corridor, a grand development plan for Malaysia.
