Traveling Balochistan Pakistan N50. I'm traveling in the northeast of the Pakistani Province Balochistan on D I Khan - Quetta Highway N50 from Dhana Sar to Zhob City. My journey is by Bus. I am going to Iran by Bus. Balochistan is the largest province of Pakistan by area. It is constituting 44 % of the total area of Pakistan. Its population is about 13 Million which is 5% of Pakistan's population. It is the least populated with about 20 persons per sq kilometer. Quetta is the capital of Balochistan. Balochistan is famous for its extremely dry desert climate. Most of the population belongs to Sunni Islam. Travel to Balochistan is a good experience. CHABAHAR, IRAN - Chabahar is located in the very southeastern corner of Iran, along the Gulf of Oman, in the Baluchestan (Balochistan) province of Iran. In this video, we ate a bunch of Balochi street food around Chabahar, and visited some of the unique Martian Mountain landscapes. It was another amazing day in Iran! #Iran #Chabahar #streetfood

For this Iranian street food tour of Chabahar, Balochistan, we started in the heart of the city, with a classic breakfast - paratha and a variety of curries. Amazing food, delicious breakfast. We then continued through the main Chabahar Market and on to taste some Chabahar biryani, followed by some of the famous Chabahar bananas.
Martian Mountains - Chabahar, Iran - This is one of the most unique landscapes in Iran, and in the world. The mountains, known as the Martian Mountains, might be as close to Mars as we will ever get. They are truly unique and spectacular especially because of the lack of vegetation so you can see every geographical shape and pattern.
Kebabs - We then continued on to eat kebabs for lunch and fried fish - an amazing meal. The food was to me a mix of Middle Eastern and Persian, all over hot rice smothered in butter and sour orange. An outstanding meal in Chabahar, must eat at when you are there.
Chabahar is a street food paradise at night, because the sun is so hot during the day. You’ll find kebabs galore, and a dish called haleem, a porridge of beans / lentils, and what makes it for me are the toppings of fried shallots, fresh chilies, and lime juice. So amazing I had to have two bowls. We continued eating more street food Chabahar, to wrap up this amazing food day in Chabahar, Iran!

Balochistan or Baluchistan (Balochi: بلوچستان, lit. Land of the Baloch) is an arid desert and mountainous region on the Iranian plateau in south-western Asia, northwest of the Arabian Sea and the national homeland of the Baloch people. It stretches across southwestern Pakistan, southeastern Iran, and a small section of southwestern Afghanistan. The southern part of Balochistan is Makran.
The second most populous linguistic group in the region is the Pashto-speaking Pashtun people. Brahui is spoken by the Brahui people. Punjabi and Sindhi are also spoken as first languages in Pakistani Balochistan and by Hindki in Afghanistan. Urdu is used as second language in Pakistan. Persian is used as a second language in Iran and Afghanistan.
Etymology
The Baloch people once referred to their land as Moka or Maka, a word which later became Makran. Moka might have been an adaptation of Mahi-khoran, Persian for "fish eaters," an appellation used by the Persians of the west for the people of coastal Balochistan. Arrian, in his Anabasis Alexandri, referred to the people of the region as the ichythophagi, a Greek translation of Mahi-khoran.

Baluchistan (Chief Commissioner's Province)
The Chief Commissioner's Province of Balochistan (Urdu: بلوچستان ,Ú†ÛŒÙ? کمشنر صوبÛ?) was a province of British India, and later Pakistan, located in the northern parts of the modern Balochistan province.
History
The province was originally formed over the period 1876–1891 by three treaties between Robert Sandeman and the Khan of Kalat, Khudadad of Kalat. Sandeman became the Political Agent for the British-administered areas which were strategically located between British India and Afghanistan. A military base was established at Quetta which played a major part in the Second and Third Afghan Wars.
The province became part of Pakistan in 1947 and continued to be administered by a Chief Commissioner. It was dissolved in 1955 when most parts of the western wing of Pakistan became the new province of West Pakistan. West Pakistan was dissolved in 1970. Khan Abdul Wali Khan intended to transfer political power to the Pashtuns. The former Chief Commissioner's province was combined with the former Balochistan States Union and the enclave of Gwadar to form a new, larger Balochistan Province, with a Governor, a Chief Minister and a Provincial Assembly.

I am going to Iran by Bus. Balochistan is the largest province of Pakistan by area. It is constituting 44 % of the total area of Pakistan. Its population is about 13 Million which is 5% of Pakistan's population. It is the least populated with about 20 persons per sq kilometer. Quetta is the capital of Balochistan. Balochistan is famous for its extremely dry desert climate. Most of the population belongs to Sunni Islam. Travel to Balochistan is a good experience. There is a lake of water but beautiful landscape, mountains, peaks, hills, desert, terrain, road, the flock of camel, goat, cow, sheep, and beautiful people of the land of Balochistan. CHABAHAR, IRAN - Chabahar is located in the very southeastern corner of Iran, along the Gulf of Oman, in the Baluchestan (Balochistan) province of Iran. In this video, we ate a bunch of Balochi street food around Chabahar, and visited some of the unique Martian Mountain landscapes. It was another amazing day in Iran! #Iran #Chabahar #streetfood

For this Iranian street food tour of Chabahar, Balochistan, we started in the heart of the city, with a classic breakfast - paratha and a variety of curries. Amazing food, delicious breakfast. We then continued through the main Chabahar Market and on to taste some Chabahar biryani, followed by some of the famous Chabahar bananas.
Martian Mountains - Chabahar, Iran - This is one of the most unique landscapes in Iran, and in the world. The mountains, known as the Martian Mountains, might be as close to Mars as we will ever get. They are truly unique and spectacular especially because of the lack of vegetation so you can see every geographical shape and pattern.
Kebabs - We then continued on to eat kebabs for lunch and fried fish - an amazing meal. The food was to me a mix of Middle Eastern and Persian, all over hot rice smothered in butter and sour orange. An outstanding meal in Chabahar, must eat at when you are there.
Chabahar is a street food paradise at night, because the sun is so hot during the day. You’ll find kebabs galore, and a dish called haleem, a porridge of beans / lentils, and what makes it for me are the toppings of fried shallots, fresh chilies, and lime juice. So amazing I had to have two bowls. We continued eating more street food Chabahar, to wrap up this amazing food day in Chabahar, Iran!

CHABAHAR, IRAN - Chabahar is located in the very southeastern corner of Iran, along the Gulf of Oman, in the Baluchestan (Balochistan) province of Iran. In this video, we ate a bunch of Balochi street food around Chabahar, and visited some of the unique Martian Mountain landscapes. It was another amazing day in Iran! #Iran #Chabahar #streetfood

For this Iranian street food tour of Chabahar, Balochistan, we started in the heart of the city, with a classic breakfast - paratha and a variety of curries. Amazing food, delicious breakfast. We then continued through the main Chabahar Market and on to taste some Chabahar biryani, followed by some of the famous Chabahar bananas.
Martian Mountains - Chabahar, Iran - This is one of the most unique landscapes in Iran, and in the world. The mountains, known as the Martian Mountains, might be as close to Mars as we will ever get. They are truly unique and spectacular especially because of the lack of vegetation so you can see every geographical shape and pattern.
Kebabs - We then continued on to eat kebabs for lunch and fried fish - an amazing meal. The food was to me a mix of Middle Eastern and Persian, all over hot rice smothered in butter and sour orange. An outstanding meal in Chabahar, must eat at when you are there.
Chabahar is a street food paradise at night, because the sun is so hot during the day. You’ll find kebabs galore, and a dish called haleem, a porridge of beans / lentils, and what makes it for me are the toppings of fried shallots, fresh chilies, and lime juice. So amazing I had to have two bowls. We continued eating more street food Chabahar, to wrap up this amazing food day in Chabahar, Iran!

Balochistan
Balochistan or Baluchistan (Balochi: بلوچستان, lit. Land of the Baloch) is an arid desert and mountainous region on the Iranian plateau in south-western Asia, northwest of the Arabian Sea and the national homeland of the Baloch people. It stretches across southwestern Pakistan, southeastern Iran, and a small section of southwestern Afghanistan. The southern part of Balochistan is Makran.
The second most populous linguistic group in the region is the Pashto-speaking Pashtun people. Brahui is spoken by the Brahui people. Punjabi and Sindhi are also spoken as first languages in Pakistani Balochistan and by Hindki in Afghanistan. Urdu is used as second language in Pakistan. Persian is used as a second language in Iran and Afghanistan.
Etymology
The Baloch people once referred to their land as Moka or Maka, a word which later became Makran. Moka might have been an adaptation of Mahi-khoran, Persian for "fish eaters," an appellation used by the Persians of the west for the people of coastal Balochistan. Arrian, in his Anabasis Alexandri, referred to the people of the region as the ichythophagi, a Greek translation of Mahi-khoran.
