This article lists the standard gauge railway engine and other standard gauge characters of the television series Thomas & Friends. These are the characters that run on The Fat Controller's railway - the North Western.
The "Steam Team" was introduced in Season 8. It is the name given to the group of core characters on The Fat Controller's (Sir Topham Hatt in the U.S.) railway as featured in the later seasons: Thomas, Edward, Henry, Gordon, James, Percy, Toby and Emily. There is no such corresponding group in The Railway Series books although a similar group appears in the book Eight Famous Engines.
Thomas can be described as a cheeky, fussy little engine. He often gets into scrapes, usually by being over-eager to do things best left to bigger and more sensible engines. But clouds never last long in Thomas's world and he's soon bustling about again, playing his part in the yard and on his very own branch line, of which he is extremely proud. He is a 0-6-0 blue tank engine. He is the title star of the television series Thomas the Tank Engine and Friends (now known as Thomas and Friends). Thomas first appeared in The Railway Series by the Rev. W. Awdry.

Just one reason
To be in prison
In your heart,
In your heart.
But now it’s too late.
You are always the same,
Always the same.
This is the prison break.
No matter what you say.
Chorus:
So let’s break the wall. (break the wall)
Don’t be shy. (don’t be shy)
Come as you are. (come as you are)
Just one question
About my fashion.
I don’t care,
I don’t care.
It’s not my topic.
I’m not shopaholic.
No way. No way.
Chorus
