John Deery and the Heads Live at Nerve Centre
John Deery and The Heads are a band from Derry known for their 'thought-provoking acoustic anthems.' Formed in 2010 by singer-songwriter John and his brother Matt, John Deery and The Heads recorded their debut album 'Smoke and Mirrors' (2010), in France with 'The Frames' producer David Odlum. It was a critical and commercial success and gained the band an army of fans including well-known music critics and broadcasters.
In May 2021, the band returns to Nerve Centre for a special Bank Holiday weekend online gig.
This gig is supported by the Department for Communities through Arts Council of Northern Ireland.

John Deery and The Heads support The Beach Boys, June 26th 2014, Ebrington Square, Derry. Featuring a selection of songs from the set including 'One Silver Line', 'Moonlight Sinatra' and 'All Work No Play' .
Headlining the Clipper Race festival, the gig drew in a crowd of over 5000 people and was the highlight of the week long festival.

John Deery and The Heads lead singer John Deery stopped by the studio today to perform "Jealousy" and a couple other original songs on the Stereo Stages Live Sessions in Derry, Northern Ireland. John is not only an amazing musician but also has a way of captivating while stripped back to just vocals and an acoustic guitar. Magnificant.
It's easy to get lost while shooting stuff like this. Lost in admiration. Before you know it the songs over and you're not even recording!! lol
