A peninsula (Latin: paeninsula from paene "almost" and insula "island") is a piece of land that is bordered by water on three sides but connected to mainland. The surrounding water is usually understood to belong to a single contiguous body, but is not always explicitly defined as such. A peninsula can also be a headland, cape, island promontory, bill, point, or spit. A point is generally considered a tapering piece of land projecting into a body of water that is less prominent than a cape. In English, the plural of peninsula is peninsulas or, less commonly, peninsulae. A river which courses through a very tight meander is also sometimes said to form a "peninsula" within the (almost closed) loop of water.

Peninsula was an Otago electorate in the New Zealand Parliament from 1881 to 1893, based on the Otago Peninsula.
The previous electoral redistribution was undertaken in 1875 for the 1875–76 election. In the six years since, New Zealand's European population had increased by 65%. In the 1881 electoral redistribution, the House of Representatives increased the number of European representatives to 91 (up from 84 since the 1875–76 election). The number of Māori electorates was held at four. The House further decided that electorates should not have more than one representative, which led to 35 new electorates being formed, including Peninsula, and two electorates that had previously been abolished to be recreated. This necessitated a major disruption to existing boundaries.
The electorate was formed for the 1881 election and existed for four parliamentary terms until 1893. It was represented by three Members of Parliament.
The first election was contested by James Seaton, William Cutten, Michael Donnelly, and James Lewis. They received 296, 284, 203 and 54 votes, respectively. Seaton had previously represented Caversham in the 6th Parliament, whilst Cutten was a member of the 1st Parliament and had represented Taieri in 1878–1879. Seaton died on 18 November 1882 in an accident, which caused a by-election.

Train to Busan Peninsula merupakan sekuel dari film sebelumnya yg berjudul Train to Busan. film bergenre zombie apocalypse ini dirilis tahun 2020 dan disutradarai oleh Yeon Sang-ho. Film ini menceritakan kondisi korea selatan 4 tahun setelah wabah virus zombie yg muncul di film train to busan. beberapa orang mencoba masuk kembali untuk mencari sesuatu yg berharga. namun misi itu justru berubah menjadi mimpi buruk yg mencekam, ketika mereka tak hanya melawan para zombie, tapi juga melawan orang-orang yg bertahan di dalam kota itu.
The zombies of Train to Busan are hardcore. Have you ever watched a movie about a zombie apocalypse and thought you couldn't survive it? Yah, not this one. Train to Busan 2: Peninsula (explained 반도) is on a whole 'nother level. A bit too much action for my taste, but one heck of damn good survival scenario. #traintobusan #traintobusan2 #peninsula #howtobeat #alive

Well a robin flew by my window
I thought it just might be you
Judging from the colour of its breast
And the sound of its song
But I’m just thinking of you
Cos you’re in sunny California
The fertile land on Steinbeck road
When I came not a single furrow patch
Could be spared for you and me
You see I wanted to love you baby
But neither you nor I’d been loved before
I thought I could change the world if I just held you high enough
The truth is I couldn’t hold you up at all
I couldn’t hold you up
I couldn’t hold you up
And I sure ain’t gonna hold you down
Well I’m leaving
Walking back home
I don’t care if it takes years or more
But as I walk through the hills of Kentucky
The leaves begin to turn red
And I think of you
Yes, I think of you
