Super rare John Lennon's demo called India. At first I thought it was recorded during The Beatles's vacation to India in 1968, since most of their songs were written there, but nope it wasnt. This song was written for a musical stage play in the late 70s called The Ballad of John and Yoko," . However, the play was never happen and would have been a chronicle of Johns life. Even though the intention to this song was to be use for the play, but it still reminds me of The Beatles trip to India in the late 60s. This slide includes great, and rare hard to find The Beatles and friends photos during the vacation. ENJOY ! ENJOY !
This is a rare John Lennon song written during the Beatles famed 1968 trip to India accompanied by some great shots of the Fab. It's about coming to India and trying to follow his heart, but knowing that his heart was really back in England where his love waited. It is speculated that Lennon didn't release it at the time because it would have made public his feelings for Yoko while he was still with Cynthia Lennon.

A drum cover of "India, India" is a song written by John Lennon and recorded in 1980, but not released until 2010's John Lennon Signature Box. The song was featured in the 2005 musical Lennon.
This song was originally written for the un-made 1970s play, "The Ballad of John and Yoko".
Yesterday, April 29, 2014, was the very first time I heard the song here on You Tube.
This song didn't have a drum track. It has John's guitar, a bass, tabla, some percussion, and I'm always on the lookout for drumless songs and this was one.
I triggered the Late 60s kit from Abbey Road 60s Drummer and a channel of a late 70s kit from Addictive Drums ADpak - Vintage Dry.
NOTE: there is a hiccup at about 2:39 on the track and I don't know why that is, I just played along with it.

John Winston Ono Lennon, MBE (born John Winston Lennon; 9 October 1940 – 8 December 1980) was an English singer and songwriter who rose to worldwide fame as a co-founder of the band the Beatles, the most commercially successful band in the history of popular music. With fellow member Paul McCartney, he formed a celebrated songwriting partnership.
Born and raised in Liverpool, Lennon became involved in the skiffle craze as a teenager; his first band, the Quarrymen, evolved into the Beatles in 1960. When the group disbanded in 1970, Lennon embarked on a solo career that produced the critically acclaimed albums John Lennon/Plastic Ono Band and Imagine, and iconic songs such as "Give Peace a Chance", "Working Class Hero", and "Imagine". After his marriage to Yoko Ono in 1969, he changed his name to John Ono Lennon. Lennon disengaged himself from the music business in 1975 to raise his infant son Sean, but re-emerged with Ono in 1980 with the new album Double Fantasy. He was murdered three weeks after its release.

John Lennon (Royal Navy officer)
John Lennon (1768–1846), was a naval captain, born at Downpatrick, Northern Ireland in 1768. He is stated to have served as a midshipman in the British Royal Navy during the American Revolution. In 1796, when in command of the schooner Favorite of Martinique, carrying letters of marque, he was very severely wounded, and his ship was taken, after a fierce engagement of one hour and twenty minutes' duration, by a French privateer of very superior force.
In 1798 he was in command of the General Keppel, also of Martinique, which was capsized in a white squall on passage from Philadelphia, when Lennon and some of his crew were rescued by a passing schooner, after suffering great perils and hardships. Lennon performed various daring feats in the West Indies in 1806–9; but his most remarkable exploits were in the Hibernia, a Cowes-built barque, carrying six guns and about twenty-two men and boys all told, in which he traded for some years from the West India island of St. Thomas. In 1812 orders were issued that no vessels should leave the island without convoy, on account of the American privateers. The Hibernia and three other merchantmen, whose aggregate cargoes were valued at half a million sterling, had long been waiting. Unwilling to detain them further, Governor Maclean agreed to their sailing without convoy, on condition of Lennon hoisting his pennant as commodore. Although harassed by the Rossie, Commodore Joshua Barney, an American privateer of superior force, Lennon brought his vessels safe into the English Channel on 18 October 1812.

Death of John Lennon

John Lennon was an English musician who gained worldwide fame as one of the members of the Beatles, for his subsequent solo career, and for his political activism and pacifism. He was shot by Mark David Chapman in the archway of the building where he lived, The Dakota, in New York City on 8 December 1980. Lennon had just returned from Record Plant Studio with his wife, Yoko Ono.
After sustaining four major gunshot wounds, Lennon was pronounced dead on arrival at Roosevelt Hospital. He was 40 years old. At the hospital, it was stated that nobody could have lived for more than a few minutes after sustaining such injuries. Shortly after local news stations reported Lennon's death, crowds gathered at Roosevelt Hospital and in front of the Dakota. Lennon was cremated on December 10, 1980 at the Ferncliff Cemetery in Hartsdale, New York; the ashes were given to Ono, who chose not to hold a funeral for him. The first media report of Lennon's death to a US national audience was announced by Howard Cosell, on ABC's Monday Night Football.

India (East Syrian ecclesiastical province)
India (Syriac: Beth Hindaye) was an ecclesiastical province of the Church of the East, from the seventh to the sixteenth century. The Malabar Coast of India had long been home to a thriving East Syrian (Nestorian) Christian community, known as the St. Thomas Christians. The community traces its origins to the evangelical activity of Thomas the Apostle in the 1st century. The Indian Christian community were initially part of the metropolitan province of Fars, but were detached from that province in the 7th century, and again in the 8th, and given their own metropolitan bishop.
Due to the distance between India and the seat of the Patriarch of the Church of the East, communication with the church's heartland was often spotty, and the province was frequently without a bishop. As such, the Indian church was largely autonomous in operation, though the authority of the Patriarch was always respected. In the 16th century, the Portuguese arrived in India and tried to bring the community under the authority of the Latin Rite of the Catholic Church. The Portuguese ascendancy was formalised at the Synod of Diamper in 1599, which effectively abolished the historic Nestorian metropolitan province of India. Angamaly, the former seat of the Nestorian metropolitans, was downgraded to a suffragan diocese of the Latin Archdiocese of Goa.

India (Vega album)
India is the first studio album by Spanish singer Vega, released on November 7, 2003 on Vale Music Spain.
History
This album represents her success after having sold more than 200.000 copies of her first single "Quiero Ser Tú" (Spanish for "I Want to Be You"), which was a task to be accomplished before being entitled to a recording contract. The album itself sold more than 110.000 copies in Spain alone.
The country, India, has always been an inspiration to Vega, and that is why she decided to name her album after it. All but two songs on the album, "That's Life" (Frank Sinatra cover) and "Believe" (K's Choice cover), were written by Vega. The eighth track, "Olor A Azahar", is dedicated to the city she was born in.
The first single from India was "Grita!", which became the best-selling single of 2003 in Spain. After the success of the first single, "La Verdad (ft. Elena Gadel)" and "Directo Al Sol" followed. Elena Gadel, a member of the girl-group Lunae, whom Vega had met during the time they were part of Operación Triunfo, also helped with the background vocals for "Grita!".

Super rare John Lennon's demo called India. At first I thought it was recorded during The Beatles's vacation to India in 1968, since most of their songs were written there, but nope it wasnt. This song was written for a musical stage play in the late 70s called The Ballad of John and Yoko," . However, the play was never happen and would have been a chronicle of Johns life. Even though the intention to this song was to be use for the play, but it still reminds me of The Beatles trip to India in the late 60s. This slide includes great, and rare hard to find The Beatles and friends photos during the vacation. ENJOY ! ENJOY !

"India India" rare Beatles song and pictures - New 2017
This is a rare John Lennon song written during the Beatles famed 1968 trip to India accompanied by some great shots of the Fab. It's about coming to India and trying to follow his heart, but knowing that his heart was really back in England where his love waited. It is speculated that Lennon didn't release it at the time because it would have made public his feelings for Yoko while he was still with Cynthia Lennon.

John Lennon - India, India (Drum Cover)
A drum cover of "India, India" is a song written by John Lennon and recorded in 1980, but not released until 2010's John Lennon Signature Box. The song was featured in the 2005 musical Lennon. This song was originally written for the un-made 1970s play, "The Ballad of John and Yoko". Yesterday, April 29, 2014, was the very first time I heard the song here on You Tube. This song didn't have a drum track. It has John's guitar, a bass, tabla, some percussion, and I'm always on the lookout for drumless songs and this was one. I triggered the Late 60s kit from Abbey Road 60s Drummer and a channel of a late 70s kit from Addictive Drums ADpak - Vintage Dry. NOTE: there is a hiccup at about 2:39 on the track and I don't know why that is, I just played along with it.

Super rare John Lennon's demo called India. At first I thought it was recorded during The Beatles's vacation to India in 1968, since most of their songs were written there, but nope it wasnt. This song was written for a musical stage play in the late 70s called The Ballad of John and Yoko," . However, the play was never happen and would have been a chronicle of Johns life. Even though the intention to this song was to be use for the play, but it still reminds me of The Beatles trip to India in the late 60s. This song didn't have a drum track. It has John's guitar, a bass, tabla, some percussion, and I'm always on the lookout for drumless songs and this was one.
I triggered the Late 60s kit from Abbey Road 60s Drummer and a channel of a late 70s kit from Addictive Drums ADpak - Vintage Dry.
NOTE: there is a hiccup at about 2:39 on the track and I don't know why that is, I just played along with it.

John Winston Ono Lennon, MBE (born John Winston Lennon; 9 October 1940 – 8 December 1980) was an English singer and songwriter who rose to worldwide fame as a co-founder of the band the Beatles, the most commercially successful band in the history of popular music. With fellow member Paul McCartney, he formed a celebrated songwriting partnership.
Born and raised in Liverpool, Lennon became involved in the skiffle craze as a teenager; his first band, the Quarrymen, evolved into the Beatles in 1960. When the group disbanded in 1970, Lennon embarked on a solo career that produced the critically acclaimed albums John Lennon/Plastic Ono Band and Imagine, and iconic songs such as "Give Peace a Chance", "Working Class Hero", and "Imagine". After his marriage to Yoko Ono in 1969, he changed his name to John Ono Lennon. Lennon disengaged himself from the music business in 1975 to raise his infant son Sean, but re-emerged with Ono in 1980 with the new album Double Fantasy. He was murdered three weeks after its release.
