About 15KG two big Turkey bird meat curry & tasty Bengali style hodgepodge cooking by our uncle to feed whole village peoples.
This food program was arranged by AroundMeBD 2nd team for another village peoples.
This time we feed the peoples until their stomach is full with food.
About 25 KG rice & 5 KG mung beans pulses was taken to cook Bengali style hodgepodge.
After finish cooking hodgepodge uncle cooked Turkey meat curry with some extra spice cause village kids and peoples loves spice food.
He cooked hodgepodge & curry in different style than others day. I have added every ingredient name as English subtitle to make you guys understand the recipe.
After finish cooking they serve the food to village kids & villagers.
It was real tasty food for village peoples. They enjoy eating the food together. And also some peoples taken more food for the family and most of the women eat in indoor house.

Turkey (bird)
The turkey is a large bird in the genus Meleagris, which is native to the Americas. One species, Meleagris gallopavo (commonly known as the domestic turkey or wild turkey), is native to the forests of North America, mainly Mexico and the United States. The other living species is Meleagris ocellata or the ocellated turkey, native to the forests of the Yucatán Peninsula. Males of both turkey species have a distinctive fleshy wattle or protuberance that hangs from the top of the beak (called a snood). They are among the largest birds in their ranges. As in many galliformes, the male is larger and much more colorful than the female.
Taxonomy
Turkeys are classed in the family of Phasianidae (pheasants, partridges, francolins, junglefowl, grouse and relatives) in the taxonomic order of Galliformes. The genus Meleagris is the only genus in the subfamily Meleagridinae, formerly known as the family Meleagrididae, but now subsumed within the family Phasianidae.
History and naming
When Europeans first encountered turkeys in America, they incorrectly identified the birds as a type of guineafowl – i.e., as members of a group of birds which were thought to typically come from the country of Turkey. The name of the North American bird thus became "turkey fowl", which was then shortened to just "turkey". In 1550, the English navigator William Strickland, who had introduced the turkey into England, was granted a coat of arms including a "turkey-cock in his pride proper".

After finish cooking hodgepodge uncle cooked Turkey meat curry with some extra spice cause village kids and peoples loves spice food.
He cooked hodgepodge & curry in different style than others day. I have added every ingredient name as English subtitle to make you guys understand the recipe.
After finish cooking they serve the food to village kids & villagers.

Turgut Tokgöz in the "Nominator" of a little know wine varietal from the ancient wine growing region of Northern Thrace, so ancient that Turkish winemakers are thinking of challenging Georgia to resolve just who did make wine first! Turgut presents his wine in Istanbul and it's a wine produced by Zeynep Arca at Arcadia Vineyards - the Odrysia Gris 2018, a blend of Sauvignon Gris & Pinot Gris. If anyone understands Turkish wine it's Turgut, WSET Certified Educator and President of the Turkish Society of Wine Experts & Educators, and Turgut explains that Turkey was a cradle of the wine world with an emerging and energetic wine industry.
Publican and hospitality legend fabulous Frank Moylan brings to "Battle" the Ballandean Estate SSB 2019, Semillon & Sauvignon Blanc - produced by winemaker Dylan Rhymer in the sometimes chilly Granite Belt micro-climate in Queensland. Frank and his highly creative partner Melissa operate the Royal George Hotel in Kyneton, with stunning interiors, food and drinks spaces. It has to be seen to be believed!
We break into the all important judging with a half time show featuring Zeynep Arca giving us some wine education on the Thracian wine region, which is complex with parts of modern day Thrace also in Bulgaria and Greece. This is a long history she and her team have revived and the focus here is what food pairings go with Sauvignon Gris. We see the food that is grown on the same terroir as the grapes, sourced from sustainably maintained gardens and free range animals. Arcadia Vineyards has a superb hotel with a very special restaurant where wine and food pairings are presented in style, with seasonal pairings a major highlight. Check out the home made pasta with local summer truffles!
Battle of the Wines took its initial inspiration from a 1224 poem La Bataille des Vins (Battle of the Wines) by 13th century Norman poet Henry d’Andeli. It tells the story of the first famous wine competition organised by the French King Philip Augustus, which drew over 70 wine samples mostly from northern and central France but some from as far away as Spain and Cyprus. Probably to the surprise of many, a sweet Cypriot wine widely believed to be an antecedent of modern Commandaria wines was the winner.

The founder of modern Turkey, Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, was often seen with a glass of raki, the country's national drink. Today, though, alcohol comes with a high price tag, with the tax on it set to be raised for a second time this year. Ever since it came to power in 2002, the Islamist-rooted AK Party has been actively restricting alcohol sales and advertisements. Quite some time ago, I came across a person on Twitter that I decided to follow because she was always talking about Turkish wine. Through each post, her enthusiasm and passion for the wine showed through and anyone who knows me knows I love to share someone’s passion for wine.
Andrea Lemieux, aka The Quirky Cork, began enjoying wine while she lived in Washington DC, but it wasn’t until she moved to Turkey for a job that she fell in love with it. Join us as she tells me about the long history of wine making in Turkey, teaches me how to pronounce those difficult to pronounce Turkish wine grapes, and why we can’t find these wines in the United States. Tekirdağ is situated on the northern coast of the Sea of Marmara, 135 km west of Istanbul in the European part of Turkey in Thracia. The picturesque bay of Tekirdağ is enclosed by the great promontory of the mountain which gives its name to the city, Tekir Dağı (ancient Combos), a spur about 2000 ft. that rises into the hilly plateau to the north.
Between Tekirdağ and Şarköy is another mountain, Ganos Dağı.
The history of the city of Tekirdağ dates back to around 4000 BC. The ancient Greek city of Rodosto is said to have been founded by Samians. In Xenophon’s Anabasis it is mentioned to be a part of the kingdom of the Thracian prince Seuthes. Its restoration by Justinian I in the 6th century A.D. is chronicled by Procopius. In 813 and again in 1206 it was sacked by the Bulgarians after the Battle of Rodosto, but it continued to appear as a place of considerable note in later Byzantine history. It was also ruled by Venetians between 1204 - 1235.
In the Ottoman period the city was successively a part of the vilayet (province) of Rumelia, Kaptanpaşa (centered at Gelibolu), Silistre and Edirne.
In 1905, the city had a population of about 35,000; of whom half were Greeks who were exchanged with Muslims living in Greece under the 1923 agreement for Exchange of Greek Orthodox and Muslim Populations between the two countries.
Tekirdağ was for many years a depot for the products of the Edirne province, but its trade suffered when Alexandroupolis became the terminus of the railway up the river Maritsa.
The Tekirdağ area is the site of many holiday homes, as the city is only two hours drive from Istanbul via a new four-lane highway. The villages of Şarköy, Mürefte and Kumbağ are particularly popular with Turkish tourists. Much of this holiday property has been built in an unregulated and unplanned manner and thus much of the coast looks over-built. The Marmara Sea is polluted but there are still a number of public beaches near Tekirdağ.
Most of the city's Ottoman wooden buildings have been replaced by concrete apartment blocks, but some are being restored or replaced with attractive houses in the traditional style. Except for the Rüstem Paşa Camii, built by the Ottoman architect, Mimar Sinan, in the 16th century, and the narrow streets that help one imagine life in the Ottoman period, the city lacks antique charm. One reason to visit is the local delicacy, the small spicy cylindrical grilled meatballs called Tekirdağ köftesi, traditionally followed by courses of a sweet local cheese and semolina pudding.
The inland areas are fertile farmland, growing crops including winter wheat, sunflowers, cherries and grapes for wine-making: thus the high quality rakı for which Tekirdağ is noted. The distilleries were state-owned until the 1990s but are now in private hands and the wine and rakı industries are undergoing a renewal. Local red wines are inexpensive and worth a taste.
Both the east-west highway (the Via Egnatia from Roman times) and the highway north toward Muratlı and Luleburgaz are four lanes.
Tekirdağ is the home of Namık Kemal University, which was founded in 2006 with three faculties. It is located at the eastern edge of the city.

This food program was arranged by AroundMeBD 2nd team for another village peoples.
This time we feed the peoples until their stomach is full with food.
About 25 KG rice & 5 KG mung beans pulses was taken to cook Bengali style hodgepodge.
After finish cooking hodgepodge uncle cooked Turkey meat curry with some extra spice cause village kids and peoples loves spice food.
He cooked hodgepodge & curry in different style than others day. I have added every ingredient name as English subtitle to make you guys understand the recipe.
After finish cooking they serve the food to village kids & villagers.
It was real tasty food for village peoples. They enjoy eating the food together. And also some peoples taken more food for the family and most of the women eat in indoor house.

Did you know that Turkey has some very exciting wines and wine stories to tell and that it's probably flying under your wine radar? Well, in this "Battle" Turkey is against a winning wine from our Australian series - from Queensland of all places, which is likely to be another wine region flying under the average wine drinker's radar. Where else can you see a Queensland wine nominated by a flamboyant Aussie wine expert from rural Kyneton, Victoria against a Turkish wine from Northern Thrace (or is it Eastern Thrace?) nominated by an urbane wine sophisticate in Istanbul? Battle of the Wines, of course!
This "Battle" is from the Sauvignon & Semillon category of the competition and the action is fierce but even more friendly than usual. Remember that all judging is blind, the only true test of a wine and our judges are filmed on location across the amazing historic city of Istanbul and in cosmopolitan Sydney.
Turgut Tokgöz in the "Nominator" of a little know wine varietal from the ancient wine growing region of Northern Thrace, so ancient that Turkish winemakers are thinking of challenging Georgia to resolve just who did make wine first! Turgut presents his wine in Istanbul and it's a wine produced by Zeynep Arca at Arcadia Vineyards - the Odrysia Gris 2018, a blend of Sauvignon Gris & Pinot Gris. If anyone understands Turkish wine it's Turgut, WSET Certified Educator and President of the Turkish Society of Wine Experts & Educators, and Turgut explains that Turkey was a cradle of the wine world with an emerging and energetic wine industry.
Publican and hospitality legend fabulous Frank Moylan brings to "Battle" the Ballandean Estate SSB 2019, Semillon & Sauvignon Blanc - produced by winemaker Dylan Rhymer in the sometimes chilly Granite Belt micro-climate in Queensland. Frank and his highly creative partner Melissa operate the Royal George Hotel in Kyneton, with stunning interiors, food and drinks spaces. It has to be seen to be believed!
We break into the all important judging with a half time show featuring Zeynep Arca giving us some wine education on the Thracian wine region, which is complex with parts of modern day Thrace also in Bulgaria and Greece. This is a long history she and her team have revived and the focus here is what food pairings go with Sauvignon Gris. We see the food that is grown on the same terroir as the grapes, sourced from sustainably maintained gardens and free range animals. Arcadia Vineyards has a superb hotel with a very special restaurant where wine and food pairings are presented in style, with seasonal pairings a major highlight. Check out the home made pasta with local summer truffles!
Battle of the Wines took its initial inspiration from a 1224 poem La Bataille des Vins (Battle of the Wines) by 13th century Norman poet Henry d’Andeli. It tells the story of the first famous wine competition organised by the French King Philip Augustus, which drew over 70 wine samples mostly from northern and central France but some from as far away as Spain and Cyprus. Probably to the surprise of many, a sweet Cypriot wine widely believed to be an antecedent of modern Commandaria wines was the winner.

The founder of modern Turkey, Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, was often seen with a glass of raki, the country's national drink. Today, though, alcohol comes with a high price tag, with the tax on it set to be raised for a second time this year. Ever since it came to power in 2002, the Islamist-rooted AK Party has been actively restricting alcohol sales and advertisements. When I went through the WSET L2 class, at no point was Turkish wine brought into the conversation.
Quite some time ago, I came across a person on Twitter that I decided to follow because she was always talking about Turkish wine. Through each post, her enthusiasm and passion for the wine showed through and anyone who knows me knows I love to share someone’s passion for wine.
Andrea Lemieux, aka The Quirky Cork, began enjoying wine while she lived in Washington DC, but it wasn’t until she moved to Turkey for a job that she fell in love with it. Join us as she tells me about the long history of wine making in Turkey, teaches me how to pronounce those difficult to pronounce Turkish wine grapes, and why we can’t find these wines in the United States. She also will provide tips of the best places to visit on your next trip to Turkey.

Tekirdağ is situated on the northern coast of the Sea of Marmara, 135 km west of Istanbul in the European part of Turkey in Thracia. The picturesque bay of Tekirdağ is enclosed by the great promontory of the mountain which gives its name to the city, Tekir Dağı (ancient Combos), a spur about 2000 ft. that rises into the hilly plateau to the north.
Between Tekirdağ and Şarköy is another mountain, Ganos Dağı.
The history of the city of Tekirdağ dates back to around 4000 BC. The ancient Greek city of Rodosto is said to have been founded by Samians. In Xenophon’s Anabasis it is mentioned to be a part of the kingdom of the Thracian prince Seuthes. Its restoration by Justinian I in the 6th century A.D. is chronicled by Procopius. In 813 and again in 1206 it was sacked by the Bulgarians after the Battle of Rodosto, but it continued to appear as a place of considerable note in later Byzantine history. It was also ruled by Venetians between 1204 - 1235.
In the Ottoman period the city was successively a part of the vilayet (province) of Rumelia, Kaptanpaşa (centered at Gelibolu), Silistre and Edirne.
In 1905, the city had a population of about 35,000; of whom half were Greeks who were exchanged with Muslims living in Greece under the 1923 agreement for Exchange of Greek Orthodox and Muslim Populations between the two countries.
Tekirdağ was for many years a depot for the products of the Edirne province, but its trade suffered when Alexandroupolis became the terminus of the railway up the river Maritsa.
The Tekirdağ area is the site of many holiday homes, as the city is only two hours drive from Istanbul via a new four-lane highway. The villages of Şarköy, Mürefte and Kumbağ are particularly popular with Turkish tourists. Much of this holiday property has been built in an unregulated and unplanned manner and thus much of the coast looks over-built. The Marmara Sea is polluted but there are still a number of public beaches near Tekirdağ.
Most of the city's Ottoman wooden buildings have been replaced by concrete apartment blocks, but some are being restored or replaced with attractive houses in the traditional style. Except for the Rüstem Paşa Camii, built by the Ottoman architect, Mimar Sinan, in the 16th century, and the narrow streets that help one imagine life in the Ottoman period, the city lacks antique charm. One reason to visit is the local delicacy, the small spicy cylindrical grilled meatballs called Tekirdağ köftesi, traditionally followed by courses of a sweet local cheese and semolina pudding.
The inland areas are fertile farmland, growing crops including winter wheat, sunflowers, cherries and grapes for wine-making: thus the high quality rakı for which Tekirdağ is noted. The distilleries were state-owned until the 1990s but are now in private hands and the wine and rakı industries are undergoing a renewal. Local red wines are inexpensive and worth a taste.
Both the east-west highway (the Via Egnatia from Roman times) and the highway north toward Muratlı and Luleburgaz are four lanes.
Tekirdağ is the home of Namık Kemal University, which was founded in 2006 with three faculties. It is located at the eastern edge of the city.
