Christopher Seton "Chris" Abele (born January 28, 1967) is an American businessman and Democratic Party politician. He is the current Milwaukee County Executive. Abele is the son of American businessman John Abele, the co-founder of Boston Scientific. Chris Abele serves as a trustee of the Argosy Foundation, a charitable trust established with an endowment from his father.
In 1996, Abele founded SteriLogic Waste Systems with Chris Kerr serving hospitals and medical clinics in managing sharps waste. After serving as CEO of SteriLogic from 1996–2004, Abele became Chairman of Sterilogic to devote more time to philanthropic efforts.
In 2001, he and his business partner Steve Mech founded CSA Commercial, a Milwaukee-based real estate and development company. In 2006, SteriLogic merged with Medsolutions and in 2007, Kerr and Abele sold the majority of SteriLogic to Stericycle and restructured the remainder as Oxus Environmental.
In 2011, the Argosy Foundation took a "change in leadership." Abele left his position as president and CEO and was replaced by his sister, Jeneye.
Abele (also spelled Abeele) is a small village or hamlet in the city of Poperinge, in the Belgian province of West-Flanders. The village is located on the territory of Poperinge proper and its "deelgemeente" Watou, but is also partly located on French territory. Abele has about 600 inhabitants, of whom about 100 are French. The main street coincides with the border between Belgium and France, so houses located on different sides of the street are located in a different country.
The church of Abele is located on French territory, but the services are organized by the Roman Catholic Diocese of Bruges. The Kerkfabriek of Watou and the local authorities of Boeschepe are responsible for its maintenance.
Abele used to be an import border crossing. In 1713, a tollhouse was set up, but it disappeared during the French Revolution. The old Belgian customs office was renovated and now serves as a retro-café with a small exhibition.
Abeele Aerodrome Military Commonwealth War Graves Commission Cemetery is outside the village, on the site of a World War I military airfield.
Abele is an Italian opera inspired on the first Bible's chapters by Vittorio Alfieri (1749–1803) which he described as a tramelogedia. It was written in 1786 and first published after Alfieri's death in 1804 in London. The play's characters can be divided in two groups: The first group includes the firsts earth's residents after the creation (Adam, Eva, Cain and Abel) and the second group represents the spiritual beings (God, Beelzebub, Sin, Envy, Death, Angels and Demons).

Look up, look up
You'll see the sky
Look up, look up
He's the life
Waiting to love you
Wanting to reach you
Look up, look up
You'll see the sky
The man walking down the street
Keeps his head down low
Doesn't look up
Wants to give up
He just keeps on looking down,
Staring at the ground
Standing here at the corner
I'm watching him walk away
Standing here and I don't know why
But I'm thinking it could be a great day
Look up, look up
You'll see the sky
Oh I wish you knew him
He's been waiting for so long
If you look up you'll see him
You know we're all alone
Look up, look up
You'll see the sky
Look up, look up
He's the life
Waiting to love you
Wanting to reach you
Look up, look up
