Sarah Michelle Gellar and Freddie Prinze Jr were that couples who ruled the screens in the 90s and early 2000s, and still together over 20 years later, they’ve also proven to have real staying power. Although they aren’t acting much these days, they still live in LA – and Sarah was also seen checking out a new mansion during the pandemic. Sarah and Freddie used to own a beautiful property in the elite Bel Air community, but when they moved to Brentwood around 2013 they loved this home enough to stay. Sarah Michelle Gellar is an actress, producer, and entrepreneur who was spotted by an agent at the young age of 4 in New York City, starting her Hollywood career as a child star. Her TV breakthrough didn’t come until 1993 though when she starred in the ABC soap All My Children. Perhaps you’re like me and know Sarah Michelle best for her starring role as Buffy the Vampire Slayer which she starred in from 97 until 2003. She gained widespread recognition for this role and it earned her plenty of awards and nominations. Freddie Prinze Jr is an actor, voice actor, and producer, who starred in a bunch of TV and movie roles since the 90s, including the I Know What You Did Last Summer franchise and Scooby-Doo. In 2000, Sarah and Freddie made plans to grab dinner with a mutual friend but when that pal didn’t know up, the pair went ahead with their plans as they already knew each other from filming I Know What You Did Last Summer together.

Gellar's Buffy co-star Charisma Carpenter posted a lengthy statement to Twitter earlier on Wednesday alleging Whedon "used his power on numerous occasions" on the set of Buffy and Angel, including asking her, after learning she was pregnant, if she was "going to keep it." Sarah Michelle Gellar ruled the '90s as Buffy Summers, teen vampire slayer, but the decades since have been more quiet ones for her. Here's why you rarely hear about Sarah Michelle Gellar.
Buffy The Vampire Slayer, starring Gellar in the title role, ran for seven seasons from 1997 to 2003. It laid the foundation for the spinoff show Angel, plus a pile of comic books, video games, action figures, and plenty of other Buffy-related media and memorabilia. Needless to say, it's an extremely popular and influential show. While it's not impossible for an actor to strike gold twice and play the main character on multiple monster-hit series, it's certainly improbable.
Gellar did get more high profile post-Buffy jobs than most of her castmates, with some notable exceptions. David Boreanaz and Alyson Hannigan both remained major television stars on Bones, which ran from 2005 to 2017, and How I Met Your Mother, airing from 2005 to 2014, respectively. Both shows also lasted longer than Buffy, but it would be a stretch to suggest either left a cultural footprint as enduring.

Sarah Michelle Gellar
Sarah Michelle Prinze (née Gellar; born April 14, 1977) is an American actress, producer and entrepreneur. After being spotted by an agent at the age of four in New York City, she made her acting debut in the made-for-TV movie An Invasion of Privacy (1983). Gellar went on to appear in episodes of Spenser: For Hire and Crossbow and have small roles in films such as Funny Farm (1988) and High Stakes (1989). Her first leading part was in the 1992 miniseries Swans Crossing, for which she was nominated for two Young Artist Awards. Gellar's television breakthrough came in 1993, when she originated the role of Kendall Hart on the ABC daytime soap opera All My Children, winning the 1995 Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Younger Actress in a Drama Series.
Gellar received worldwide recognition for her portrayal of Buffy Summers on the WB TV series Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1997–2003), which earned her six Teen Choice Awards, the Saturn Award for Best Genre Television Actress and a Golden Globe Award nomination for Best Actress – Television Series Drama. The character was widely popular during the airing of the show and became recognized as one of the 100 greatest female characters in U.S. television. Gellar also gained recognition for horror films like I Know What You Did Last Summer and Scream 2. She eventually played Kathryn Merteuil in Cruel Intentions (1999) and appeared as Daphne Blake in Scooby-Doo (2002), her biggest live-action commercial success.

Sarah Michelle Gellar and Freddie Prinze Jr were that couples who ruled the screens in the 90s and early 2000s, and still together over 20 years later, they’ve also proven to have real staying power. Although they aren’t acting much these days, they still live in LA – and Sarah was also seen checking out a new mansion during the pandemic. Sarah and Freddie used to own a beautiful property in the elite Bel Air community, but when they moved to Brentwood around 2013 they loved this home enough to stay. We’ll take a look at the couple’s current residence, and more. Sarah Michelle Gellar is an actress, producer, and entrepreneur who was spotted by an agent at the young age of 4 in New York City, starting her Hollywood career as a child star. Her TV breakthrough didn’t come until 1993 though when she starred in the ABC soap All My Children. Perhaps you’re like me and know Sarah Michelle best for her starring role as Buffy the Vampire Slayer which she starred in from 97 until 2003. She gained widespread recognition for this role and it earned her plenty of awards and nominations. Freddie Prinze Jr is an actor, voice actor, and producer, who starred in a bunch of TV and movie roles since the 90s, including the I Know What You Did Last Summer franchise and Scooby-Doo. In 2000, Sarah and Freddie made plans to grab dinner with a mutual friend but when that pal didn’t know up, the pair went ahead with their plans as they already knew each other from filming I Know What You Did Last Summer together.

Buffy The Vampire Slayer, starring Gellar in the title role, ran for seven seasons from 1997 to 2003. It laid the foundation for the spinoff show Angel, plus a pile of comic books, video games, action figures, and plenty of other Buffy-related media and memorabilia. Needless to say, it's an extremely popular and influential show. While it's not impossible for an actor to strike gold twice and play the main character on multiple monster-hit series, it's certainly improbable.
Gellar did get more high profile post-Buffy jobs than most of her castmates, with some notable exceptions. David Boreanaz and Alyson Hannigan both remained major television stars on Bones, which ran from 2005 to 2017, and How I Met Your Mother, airing from 2005 to 2014, respectively. Both shows also lasted longer than Buffy, but it would be a stretch to suggest either left a cultural footprint as enduring.

Several “Buffy the Vampire Slayer'' stars — including Sarah Michelle Gellar, Michelle Trachtenberg, and Amber Benson — have responded to the allegations that the show’s creator Joss Whedon used his power on the sets of “Buffy,” its spin-off “Angel,” and the DC Films feature “Justice League.”
Gellar's Buffy co-star Charisma Carpenter posted a lengthy statement to Twitter earlier on Wednesday alleging Whedon "used his power on numerous occasions" on the set of Buffy and Angel, including asking her, after learning she was pregnant, if she was "going to keep it." Sarah Michelle Gellar ruled the '90s as Buffy Summers, teen vampire slayer, but the decades since have been more quiet ones for her. Here's why you rarely hear about Sarah Michelle Gellar.
Buffy The Vampire Slayer, starring Gellar in the title role, ran for seven seasons from 1997 to 2003. It laid the foundation for the spinoff show Angel, plus a pile of comic books, video games, action figures, and plenty of other Buffy-related media and memorabilia. Needless to say, it's an extremely popular and influential show. While it's not impossible for an actor to strike gold twice and play the main character on multiple monster-hit series, it's certainly improbable.
Gellar did get more high profile post-Buffy jobs than most of her castmates, with some notable exceptions. David Boreanaz and Alyson Hannigan both remained major television stars on Bones, which ran from 2005 to 2017, and How I Met Your Mother, airing from 2005 to 2014, respectively. Both shows also lasted longer than Buffy, but it would be a stretch to suggest either left a cultural footprint as enduring.

Sarah Michelle Prinze (née Gellar; born April 14, 1977) is an American actress, producer and entrepreneur. After being spotted by an agent at the age of four in New York City, she made her acting debut in the made-for-TV movie An Invasion of Privacy (1983). Gellar went on to appear in episodes of Spenser: For Hire and Crossbow and have small roles in films such as Funny Farm (1988) and High Stakes (1989). Her first leading part was in the 1992 miniseries Swans Crossing, for which she was nominated for two Young Artist Awards. Gellar's television breakthrough came in 1993, when she originated the role of Kendall Hart on the ABC daytime soap opera All My Children, winning the 1995 Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Younger Actress in a Drama Series.
Gellar received worldwide recognition for her portrayal of Buffy Summers on the WB TV series Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1997–2003), which earned her six Teen Choice Awards, the Saturn Award for Best Genre Television Actress and a Golden Globe Award nomination for Best Actress – Television Series Drama. The character was widely popular during the airing of the show and became recognized as one of the 100 greatest female characters in U.S. television. Gellar also gained recognition for horror films like I Know What You Did Last Summer and Scream 2. She eventually played Kathryn Merteuil in Cruel Intentions (1999) and appeared as Daphne Blake in Scooby-Doo (2002), her biggest live-action commercial success.
