Chii Tomiya

Chii Tomiya (都宮 ちい, Tomiya Chii, born April 25, 1991) is a Japanese professional wrestler, best known for her work in the Ice Ribbon promotion. Trained by Emi Sakura, Tomiya made her debut for Ice Ribbon in October 2008 and during the next three years went on to become a one-time International Ribbon Tag Team and Internet Wrestling 19 Champion, while also holding Dramatic Dream Team's (DDT) Ironman Heavymetalweight Championship once. In August 2011, Tomiya left Ice Ribbon and became a freelancer, adopting the new ring name Micro (ミクロ, Mikuro) in the process. As a freelancer, she would most notably work for the Reina X World promotion, where she wrestled as the masked character Mini Tomato (ミニトマト, Mini Tomato). In September 2013, she signed with the new World Pro-Wrestling Association (WPA) promotion, adopting the new ring name Akubi in the process. Standing at only 1.42 m (4 ft 8 in), she is one of the shortest wrestlers in all of puroresu.

Micro (novel)

Micro, a techno-thriller published posthumously in 2011, is Michael Crichton's final novel. Upon his death in 2008, an untitled, unfinished manuscript was found on his computer, which would become Micro and complete his two-book deal with publisher HarperCollins. HarperCollins chose science writer Richard Preston to complete the novel from Crichton's remaining notes and research, and it was finally published in 2011.Micro is Crichton's second posthumous novel; Pirate Latitudes, a historical thriller, was also found on his computer and published posthumously in 2009.

Plot

The narrative begins with a private investigator named Marcos Rodriguez pulling up to a metal building located on the island of Oahu. The building is the main headquarters of Nanigen Micro-Technologies, a research company that specializes in discovering new types of medicine. Disguised as a security guard, Rodriguez enters the unattended building and begins searching the grounds for an unknown object. As he makes his way through the halls of the building, however, he begins to notices mysterious, ultra-fine cuts appearing on his body. Spooked, Rodriguez flees the building.

Micro Cars

Micro Cars is an automobile company based in Peliyagoda, Sri Lanka, founded in 1995. It was established by automobile engineer, Dr. Lawrence Perara. Micro Cars is a fully owned subsidiary of Micro Holdings.

History

Micro Cars was established by TAK engineer, Dr. Lawrence Perara. Micro's first introduction was "Micro Privilege" which had 1,000 cc (1.0 L; 61 cu in) gasoline engine with inline 4 cylinders. After that it produced Micro MPV Junior van and the Micro Trend hatchback, which were more advanced than the first introduction.

As Sri Lanka's first ever car, the "Micro" is designed, developed, and prototyped to be manufactured locally with at least 60% of local content. The prototype was prepared in 1999 with the running chassis making its debut run in December. The body was modeled in styling clay and then transferred to composite for final analysis in June 2000.

The first Micro was made in mid-2001. The Board of Investment provided state support for the car project. Its first car was legally registered only in 2003 after a lengthy battle with the motor car registration department of the country. Micro Cars export products to Nepal, Pakistan, India, and Bangladesh. Micro Cars, which is a fully owned subsidiary of Micro Holdings, is engaged in imports and assembly of the vehicle brands Geely, Ssangyong, Hafei and Great Wall Motors of China.

Deep (Silent Running album)

Deep is the third and final studio album from Belfast New Wave/rock band Silent Running, released in 1989.

Background

Despite the commercial failure of the band's 1987 album Walk on Fire and its two singles, the band began to record their second album for Atlantic Records.

Following the release of the Deep album, the band toured extensively after the album's release but split up shortly thereafter, citing a lack of record company support. The band would later reunite for one final performance at Belfast's Empire Music Hall to a capacity crowd in 1998. Reportedly, demos for the unreleased fourth album are widely available although unofficially only.

Like the previous two albums, Deep was a commercial failure.

The album's title is taken from the opening track "Deep in the Heart of Nowhere".

Both "Deep in the Heart of Nowhere" and "Local Hero" were released as promotional singles on CD in America only.

Recording

The first four tracks of the album were produced by the band themselves with Frankie LaRocka and Peter Denenberg, who both engineered the album. The rest of the tracks were produced by John Eden, whilst LaRocka and Deneberg remixed the tracks produced by Eden. The album was LaRocka's first attempt at production work, where he also played drums on part of the album. Originally, LaRocka had signed the band while working in the A&R department at Atlantic Records.

Deep (Niacin album)

Deep is the third studio album from the jazz rock fusion trio Niacin, released in March 2000.

The album is heavily loaded with Billy Sheehan's powerful bass solos and features contributions from guest musicians Glenn Hughes on vocals and Steve Lukather on guitar.

Ten (Pearl Jam album)

Ten is the debut studio album by the American rock band Pearl Jam, released on August 27, 1991 through Epic Records. Following the disbanding of bassist Jeff Ament and guitarist Stone Gossard's previous group Mother Love Bone, the two recruited vocalist Eddie Vedder, guitarist Mike McCready, and drummer Dave Krusen to form Pearl Jam in 1990. Most of the songs began as instrumental jams, to which Vedder added lyrics about topics such as depression, homelessness, and abuse.

Ten was not an immediate success, but by late 1992 it had reached number two on the Billboard 200 chart. The album produced three hit singles: "Alive", "Even Flow", and "Jeremy". While Pearl Jam was accused of jumping on the grunge bandwagon at the time, Ten was instrumental in popularizing alternative rock in the mainstream. In February 2013, the album crossed the 10 million mark in sales and has been certified 13x platinum by the RIAA. It remains Pearl Jam's most commercially successful album.
