The International Organization for Migration works to ensure that people affected by crises can access protection and assistance. In doing so, it follows the Principles for Humanitarian Action (PHA), which underpin the Migration Crisis Operational Framework and aim to ensure that the Organization acts on the basis of robust principles and as part of the humanitarian response system. Our office in Oslo opened in 2002. Our main programmes are cultural orientation and voluntary assisted return. We provide cultural orientation for UN refugees coming to Norway. For asylum seekers and migrants unable to stay in Norway, we offer an assisted voluntary return and reintegration programme.

In the middle of the desert in Agadez, a strategic crossroad for migrants, IOM staff is assisting migrants coming from Liberia, Cameroon, Gambia, Guinea, Senegal, Nigeria and other West African countries.
The migrants’ journeys before reaching the center are often long and traumatizing. Among them there are many who have been victims of trafficking, exploitation or abuse at the hands of unscrupulous smugglers.
The video above was made in support of IOM Niger's information campaign implemented in 2016. The aim of the campaign was to inform potential and transiting migrants about safer alternatives to irregular migration, and about the risks and dangers of trafficking and smuggling.

ISDN-oriented Modular Interface
ISDN-oriented Modular Interface (IOM) is a system architecture and its bus for communication between various VLSI ICs for the lower layers (ref. OSI model) of ISDN. It was developed by Siemens (today: Infineon), current revision is IOM-2. Its purpose is to enable modularity. Second sources are AMD, Alcatel, Plessey.
IOM-2 is a 4-wire serial, full-duplex link. 2 operation modes are available: line card mode and terminal mode; which differ only in number and purpose of the channels. Signals are:

Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining
The Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining (IOM3) is a major UK engineering institution whose activities encompass the whole materials cycle, from exploration and extraction, through characterisation, processing, forming, finishing and application, to product recycling and land reuse. It exists to promote and develop all aspects of materials science and engineering, geology, mining and associated technologies, mineral and petroleum engineering and extraction metallurgy, as a leading authority in the worldwide materials and mining community.
It is a registered charity governed by Royal Charter and in 2009-10 had a gross income of £6.4million. The Institute is also a member of the UK Science Council.
Structure
Having resided at Carlton House Terrace off Pall Mall in St James's in central London since 2002, the Institute moved to 297 Euston Road on 30 June 2015. The organisation has its education, marketing and knowledge transfer office in Grantham, and its finance office in Stoke on Trent.

In the middle of the desert in Agadez, a strategic crossroad for migrants, IOM staff is assisting migrants coming from Liberia, Cameroon, Gambia, Guinea, Senegal, Nigeria and other West African countries.
The migrants’ journeys before reaching the center are often long and traumatizing. Among them there are many who have been victims of trafficking, exploitation or abuse at the hands of unscrupulous smugglers.
The video above was made in support of IOM Niger's information campaign implemented in 2016. The aim of the campaign was to inform potential and transiting migrants about safer alternatives to irregular migration, and about the risks and dangers of trafficking and smuggling.

We are the International Organization for Migration, IOM - the UN migration agency. Our organization was founded in 1951 and presently we have 166 member states. IOM has more than 400 offices around the world.

IOM is a humanitarian organisation that works on migration issues. We respect migrants’ rights, including the right to seek asylum and the right to fair and humane treatment.
Only governments can decide who is permitted to enter and stay in a country. Therefore, IOM cannot influence asylum or immigration cases in Norway.
IOM works with authorities, but individual governments do not have the power to instruct IOM. All cooperation with governments is based upon agreements.
Our office in Oslo opened in 2002. Our main programmes are cultural orientation and voluntary assisted return. We provide cultural orientation for UN refugees coming to Norway. For asylum seekers and migrants unable to stay in Norway, we offer an assisted voluntary return and reintegration programme.
