INDIAN ARMY DISTRIBUTES COVID PROTECTION AND RELIEF ITEMS AT PHC BUDHAL, RAJOURI
Rajouri (22 May 2021). Indian Army has always been on forefront to successfully accomplish the task assigned to it, whether it’s during war or in peace time. During the challenging times of COVID Pandemic, Indian Army has been contributing immensely towards controlling the spread of the disease. In continuation of its efforts, Indian Army distributed COVID protection and relief items to PHC Budhal in Rajouri district.
With nationwide drastic rise in the number of COVID Positive cases every day, there is a dire need to maintain highest standard of hygiene and sanitation in the Battalion’s area of responsibility and to create awareness amongst the local populace. By virtue of Kotranka and Budhal being in the remote far flung areas of District Rajouri, vaccination and sampling is being carried out on large scale. For this Indian Army at Samote in coordination will civil authorities have come forward to speed up the process. There is a continuous effort to create awareness and information among local populace so that they volunteer for Sampling and Vaccination.
As part of COVID control and management drive, Indian Army unit at Samote provided a COVID Kit package to include surgical gloves, N-95 masks, COVID masks, Hand Sanitizers and certain stationary items to Primary Health Centre Budhal. Distribution of these COVID relief items will facilitate COVID warriors and local populace in these challenging times to fight against COVID. This will also assist, facilitate and speed up the process of sample collection and vaccination drive. This gesture of Army has generated goodwill amongst the local populace for the Indian Army and will go a long way in cementing the already existing bond between Awam and Army.

The Ziyarat Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah (R.A) Shahdara Sharief is located in the mid north edge of district Rajouri at 33.30 degree north latitudes and 74.26 degree east longitudes, the altitude of the Ziyarat Sharief is 5807 feet above mean sea level. Being located in the lap of Middle mountains (Pir-Punjal) range of Himalayas the average temperature remains about 20 degree celsius annually. However, it falls by 01 degree during winter and snowfall and up to 30 degree during the hottest days of June. Normally area falls in temperate mountain climate zone.
The amusing geography, natural beauty of Shahdara resembles to the valley of Kashmir. Shahdara Sharief is thronged by Manu Naka in the east, Bagla Kopra top in the west, beautiful tourist spot of Dehragalli (5900ft) in the Neza peer and Chamrede Galli in the north, every season at Shahdara Sharief is unparallel and enticing. Spring flowers spread scent, in summer greenery lays its sheet, in winter it is snow-clad peaks and white blanket at the footsteps of Dargah100k picturesque. Shahdara is famously known by the name of "SeinDara". Sein means Loin and Dara means the Maskin or abode. Before the arrival of Baba (R.A) this place was named as Sein Dara which later changed into Shahdara Sharief.
This village is located at a distance of 30 km away in the north of Rajouri town and 6 km in the west from Thanna Mandi. This Holy pilgrim place is 182 km from winter capital of J&K; State Jammu 68 km from Poonch via Deragalli and 160km from Srinagar Summer capital of the J&K; State via Mughal Road.

Rajauri is about 155 kilometres (96 mi) from Jammu city on the Poonch Highway. Rajauri is known as the Vale of Lakes as there are many lakes around the city. Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University is based in the town.
Rajouri is a district in the Jammu & Kashmir state of India. The total area of Rajouri is 2,630 km² including 2,608.11 km² rural area and 21.89 km² urban area. Rajouri has a population of 642,415. There are 130,401 houses in the district.
Rajouri district is further divided into the following Blocks/Tehsils for administrative purposes: 1. Budhal 2. Darhal 3. Kalakote 4. Nowshehra 5. Rajauri 6. Sunderbani 7. Thanamandi 8. Manjakote
History
Rajouri saw some of the toughest fighting during Pakistani intervention in Kashmir during Operation Gibraltar. The town was initially captured from the Indian Army by undercover Pakistani commandos with the aid of local Mujahideen but the wider operation failed and, with all-out war with India looming, Pakistan withdrew its troops. Major Malik Munawar Khan Awan, a Pakistani commando officer who led the attack on Rajouri on the night of 6 August 1965, was later entitled with the name "King of Rajouri" by the Government of Pakistan.. Several villages, towns, and cities are located in Rajauri, like Saaj.

The Ziyarat Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah (R.A) Shahdara Sharief is located in the mid north edge of district Rajouri at 33.30 degree north latitudes and 74.26 degree east longitudes, the altitude of the Ziyarat Sharief is 5807 feet above mean sea level. Being located in the lap of Middle mountains (Pir-Punjal) range of Himalayas the average temperature remains about 20 degree celsius annually. However, it falls by 01 degree during winter and snowfall and up to 30 degree during the hottest days of June. Normally area falls in temperate mountain climate zone.
The amusing geography, natural beauty of Shahdara resembles to the valley of Kashmir. Shahdara Sharief is thronged by Manu Naka in the east, Bagla Kopra top in the west, beautiful tourist spot of Dehragalli (5900ft) in the Neza peer and Chamrede Galli in the north, every season at Shahdara Sharief is unparallel and enticing. Spring flowers spread scent, in summer greenery lays its sheet, in winter it is snow-clad peaks and white blanket at the footsteps of Dargah100k picturesque. Shahdara is famously known by the name of "SeinDara". Sein means Loin and Dara means the Maskin or abode. Before the arrival of Baba (R.A) this place was named as Sein Dara which later changed into Shahdara Sharief.
This village is located at a distance of 30 km away in the north of Rajouri town and 6 km in the west from Thanna Mandi. This Holy pilgrim place is 182 km from winter capital of J&K; State Jammu 68 km from Poonch via Deragalli and 160km from Srinagar Summer capital of the J&K; State via Mughal Road.

INDIAN ARMY DISTRIBUTES COVID PROTECTION AND RELIEF ITEMS AT PHC BUDHAL, RAJOURI
Rajouri (22 May 2021). Indian Army has always been on forefront to successfully accomplish the task assigned to it, whether it’s during war or in peace time. During the challenging times of COVID Pandemic, Indian Army has been contributing immensely towards controlling the spread of the disease. In continuation of its efforts, Indian Army distributed COVID protection and relief items to PHC Budhal in Rajouri district.
With nationwide drastic rise in the number of COVID Positive cases every day, there is a dire need to maintain highest standard of hygiene and sanitation in the Battalion’s area of responsibility and to create awareness amongst the local populace. By virtue of Kotranka and Budhal being in the remote far flung areas of District Rajouri, vaccination and sampling is being carried out on large scale. For this Indian Army at Samote in coordination will civil authorities have come forward to speed up the process. There is a continuous effort to create awareness and information among local populace so that they volunteer for Sampling and Vaccination.
As part of COVID control and management drive, Indian Army unit at Samote provided a COVID Kit package to include surgical gloves, N-95 masks, COVID masks, Hand Sanitizers and certain stationary items to Primary Health Centre Budhal. Distribution of these COVID relief items will facilitate COVID warriors and local populace in these challenging times to fight against COVID. This will also assist, facilitate and speed up the process of sample collection and vaccination drive. This gesture of Army has generated goodwill amongst the local populace for the Indian Army and will go a long way in cementing the already existing bond between Awam and Army.

Rajauri or Rajouri (rəˈʤɔ:rɪ) (Hindi: राजौरी) is a town and a municipal council in Rajouri district in Jammu and Kashmir. Rajauri is about 155 kilometres (96 mi) from Jammu city on the Poonch Highway. Rajauri is known as the Vale of Lakes as there are many lakes around the city. Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University is based in the town.
Rajouri is a district in the Jammu & Kashmir state of India. The total area of Rajouri is 2,630 km² including 2,608.11 km² rural area and 21.89 km² urban area. Rajouri has a population of 642,415. There are 130,401 houses in the district.
Rajouri district is further divided into the following Blocks/Tehsils for administrative purposes: 1. Budhal 2. Darhal 3. Kalakote 4. Nowshehra 5. Rajauri 6. Sunderbani 7. Thanamandi 8. Manjakote
History
Rajouri saw some of the toughest fighting during Pakistani intervention in Kashmir during Operation Gibraltar. The town was initially captured from the Indian Army by undercover Pakistani commandos with the aid of local Mujahideen but the wider operation failed and, with all-out war with India looming, Pakistan withdrew its troops. Major Malik Munawar Khan Awan, a Pakistani commando officer who led the attack on Rajouri on the night of 6 August 1965, was later entitled with the name "King of Rajouri" by the Government of Pakistan.. Several villages, towns, and cities are located in Rajauri, like Saaj.
