Το έργο
Ο δωδεκάχρονος Κίστερ αντιμετωπίζει με την απελπισμένα ανικανοποίητη ιδιοφυΐα του δώδεκα διαδοχικές αναμετρήσεις με εκείνες κι εκείνους που, ηθελημένα ή μη, μετέχουν στη διαπαιδαγώγησή του (την τροφό, τον παιδαγωγό, τον επιστήθιο φίλο, τη μητέρα, την ποθητή, τον αλήτη, τον διανοούμενο, τον φεουδάρχη, τον πανουκλιασμένο, τους γονείς του φίλου, τους αγγέλους, τον αντεραστή) και, εκμεταλλευόμενος τη γοητεία που τους ασκεί, δοκιμάζει τα όρια του καταναγκασμού, που σύμφωνα με τον συγγραφέα επιτυγχάνεται μέσω της βίας, του οίκτου, της λογικής και της αιδούς. Κυρίως όμως δοκιμάζει τα όρια του πόνου, αυτής της, κατά Barker, «αναγκαιότητας», που καταλύει και αποκαλύπτει: «Είναι αδύνατον –τώρα, στο σημείο που έχει φτάσει το μακρύ ταξίδι της ανθρώπινης κουλτούρας– να αποφευχθεί η αίσθηση ότι ο πόνος είναι αναγκαιότητα• ότι δεν είναι ούτε ατύχημα ούτε δυσμορφία ούτε κακία ούτε παρανόηση, ότι τόσο η πρόκλησή του όσο και το πάθος του είναι εγγενή στον ανθρώπινο χαρακτήρα, αυτή η τρομερή αίσθηση την οποία μόνο η τραγωδία έχει αρθρώσει, και θα συνεχίσει να αρθρώνει, και κατ’ αυτόν τον τρόπο, να την καθιστά όμορφη…» [H. Το έργο παρουσιάζεται για πρώτη φορά στην Ελλάδα, σε μετάφραση, που έγινε ειδικά για την παράσταση, της Έλσης Σακελλαρίδου.

The human psyche can be tormented and tricked through oppression, guilt, and feelings of helplessness. Howard Barker
Howard E. Barker (born 28 June 1946) is a British playwright.
The Theatre of Catastrophe
Barker has coined the term "Theatre of Catastrophe" to describe his work. His plays often explore violence, sexuality, the desire for power, and human motivation.
Rejecting the widespread notion that an audience should share a single response to the events onstage, Barker works to fragment response, forcing each viewer to wrestle with the play alone. "We must overcome the urge to do things in unison" he writes. "To chant together, to hum banal tunes together, is not collectivity." Where other playwrights might clarify a scene, Barker seeks to render it more complex, ambiguous, and unstable.
Only through a tragic renaissance, Barker argues, will beauty and poetry return to the stage. "Tragedy liberates language from banality" he asserts. "It returns poetry to speech."
Themes
Barker frequently turns to historical events for inspiration. His play Scenes from an Execution, for example, centers on the aftermath of the Battle of Lepanto (1571) and a fictional female artist commissioned to create a commemorative painting of the Venetian victory over the Ottoman fleet. Scenes from an Execution, originally written for Radio 3 and starring Glenda Jackson in 1984, was later adapted for the stage. The short play Judith revolves around the Biblical story of Judith, the legendary heroine who decapitated the invading general Holofernes.

Το έργο
Ο δωδεκάχρονος Κίστερ αντιμετωπίζει με την απελπισμένα ανικανοποίητη ιδιοφυΐα του δώδεκα διαδοχικές αναμετρήσεις με εκείνες κι εκείνους που, ηθελημένα ή μη, μετέχουν στη διαπαιδαγώγησή του (την τροφό, τον παιδαγωγό, τον επιστήθιο φίλο, τη μητέρα, την ποθητή, τον αλήτη, τον διανοούμενο, τον φεουδάρχη, τον πανουκλιασμένο, τους γονείς του φίλου, τους αγγέλους, τον αντεραστή) και, εκμεταλλευόμενος τη γοητεία που τους ασκεί, δοκιμάζει τα όρια του καταναγκασμού, που σύμφωνα με τον συγγραφέα επιτυγχάνεται μέσω της βίας, του οίκτου, της λογικής και της αιδούς. Κυρίως όμως δοκιμάζει τα όρια του πόνου, αυτής της, κατά Barker, «αναγκαιότητας», που καταλύει και αποκαλύπτει: «Είναι αδύνατον –τώρα, στο σημείο που έχει φτάσει το μακρύ ταξίδι της ανθρώπινης κουλτούρας– να αποφευχθεί η αίσθηση ότι ο πόνος είναι αναγκαιότητα• ότι δεν είναι ούτε ατύχημα ούτε δυσμορφία ούτε κακία ούτε παρανόηση, ότι τόσο η πρόκλησή του όσο και το πάθος του είναι εγγενή στον ανθρώπινο χαρακτήρα, αυτή η τρομερή αίσθηση την οποία μόνο η τραγωδία έχει αρθρώσει, και θα συνεχίσει να αρθρώνει, και κατ’ αυτόν τον τρόπο, να την καθιστά όμορφη…» [H. Barker, Death, the One, and the Art of Theatre].
Το έργο παρουσιάζεται για πρώτη φορά στην Ελλάδα, σε μετάφραση, που έγινε ειδικά για την παράσταση, της Έλσης Σακελλαρίδου.

Το έργο
Ο δωδεκάχρονος Κίστερ αντιμετωπίζει με την απελπισμένα ανικανοποίητη ιδιοφυΐα του δώδεκα διαδοχικές αναμετρήσεις με εκείνες κι εκείνους που, ηθελημένα ή μη, μετέχουν στη διαπαιδαγώγησή του (την τροφό, τον παιδαγωγό, τον επιστήθιο φίλο, τη μητέρα, την ποθητή, τον αλήτη, τον διανοούμενο, τον φεουδάρχη, τον πανουκλιασμένο, τους γονείς του φίλου, τους αγγέλους, τον αντεραστή) και, εκμεταλλευόμενος τη γοητεία που τους ασκεί, δοκιμάζει τα όρια του καταναγκασμού, που σύμφωνα με τον συγγραφέα επιτυγχάνεται μέσω της βίας, του οίκτου, της λογικής και της αιδούς. Το έργο παρουσιάζεται για πρώτη φορά στην Ελλάδα, σε μετάφραση, που έγινε ειδικά για την παράσταση, της Έλσης Σακελλαρίδου.

Through various snapshots that take the audience to suspended places in time, our collective human weakness to continually repeat our cruel history is ripped open for examination. The human psyche can be tormented and tricked through oppression, guilt, and feelings of helplessness. As these sensibilities are manipulated, so is our ability to see all the possibilities available to us, and our right to stand by our personal morality.

Është një vepër aktuale edhe pse ngjarjet e së cilës janë vendosur në Venecian e shek. XVI, ajo flet edhe sot po njësoj. “Galaksia” vjen me regji nga Rovena Lule Kuka dhe në interpretimin e aktorëve më në zë, si Olta Daku, Igli Zarka, Neritan Liçaj, Bujar Asqeriu, Raimonda Bulku, Myzafer Zifla, Lulzim Zeqja, Vikena Kamenica, Paola Kodra, Niada Saliasi, Genti Deçka, Naun Shundi, Bujar Hoxhaj, Urim Aliaj, Ermir Hoxhaj, Xhuliano Brisku, Juxhin Plovishti dhe Griseld Kapllanaj. Το έργο
Ο δωδεκάχρονος Κίστερ αντιμετωπίζει με την απελπισμένα ανικανοποίητη ιδιοφυΐα του δώδεκα διαδοχικές αναμετρήσεις με εκείνες κι εκείνους που, ηθελημένα ή μη, μετέχουν στη διαπαιδαγώγησή του (την τροφό, τον παιδαγωγό, τον επιστήθιο φίλο, τη μητέρα, την ποθητή, τον αλήτη, τον διανοούμενο, τον φεουδάρχη, τον πανουκλιασμένο, τους γονείς του φίλου, τους αγγέλους, τον αντεραστή) και, εκμεταλλευόμενος τη γοητεία που τους ασκεί, δοκιμάζει τα όρια του καταναγκασμού, που σύμφωνα με τον συγγραφέα επιτυγχάνεται μέσω της βίας, του οίκτου, της λογικής και της αιδούς. Κυρίως όμως δοκιμάζει τα όρια του πόνου, αυτής της, κατά Barker, «αναγκαιότητας», που καταλύει και αποκαλύπτει: «Είναι αδύνατον –τώρα, στο σημείο που έχει φτάσει το μακρύ ταξίδι της ανθρώπινης κουλτούρας– να αποφευχθεί η αίσθηση ότι ο πόνος είναι αναγκαιότητα• ότι δεν είναι ούτε ατύχημα ούτε δυσμορφία ούτε κακία ούτε παρανόηση, ότι τόσο η πρόκλησή του όσο και το πάθος του είναι εγγενή στον ανθρώπινο χαρακτήρα, αυτή η τρομερή αίσθηση την οποία μόνο η τραγωδία έχει αρθρώσει, και θα συνεχίσει να αρθρώνει, και κατ’ αυτόν τον τρόπο, να την καθιστά όμορφη…» [H. Το έργο παρουσιάζεται για πρώτη φορά στην Ελλάδα, σε μετάφραση, που έγινε ειδικά για την παράσταση, της Έλσης Σακελλαρίδου.

Through various snapshots that take the audience to suspended places in time, our collective human weakness to continually repeat our cruel history is ripped open for examination. The human psyche can be tormented and tricked through oppression, guilt, and feelings of helplessness. As these sensibilities are manipulated, so is our ability to see all the possibilities available to us, and our right to stand by our personal morality.

Howard Barker
Howard E. Barker (born 28 June 1946) is a British playwright.
The Theatre of Catastrophe
Barker has coined the term "Theatre of Catastrophe" to describe his work. His plays often explore violence, sexuality, the desire for power, and human motivation.
Rejecting the widespread notion that an audience should share a single response to the events onstage, Barker works to fragment response, forcing each viewer to wrestle with the play alone. "We must overcome the urge to do things in unison" he writes. "To chant together, to hum banal tunes together, is not collectivity." Where other playwrights might clarify a scene, Barker seeks to render it more complex, ambiguous, and unstable.
Only through a tragic renaissance, Barker argues, will beauty and poetry return to the stage. "Tragedy liberates language from banality" he asserts. "It returns poetry to speech."
Themes
Barker frequently turns to historical events for inspiration. His play Scenes from an Execution, for example, centers on the aftermath of the Battle of Lepanto (1571) and a fictional female artist commissioned to create a commemorative painting of the Venetian victory over the Ottoman fleet. Scenes from an Execution, originally written for Radio 3 and starring Glenda Jackson in 1984, was later adapted for the stage. The short play Judith revolves around the Biblical story of Judith, the legendary heroine who decapitated the invading general Holofernes.
