Lavon Lake
Lavon Lake is a fresh water impoundment located in Collin County, Texas on the East Fork of the Trinity River near Wylie off of State Highway 78. It is commonly called Lake Lavon for commercial and recreational purposes but Lavon Lake is its official name according to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. It was originally called Lavon Reservoir.

The lake serves as water source for various north Texas cities.

A Visit To Clear Lake Park On Lavon Lake
At the beginning of the summer of 2022 I loaded up Trudy Thunder the Super C RV and rolled down the road to the closest public campground to my RV home base, Clear Lake Park. This beautiful little U.S. Army Corps of engineers campground on the shores of Lavon Lake in Collin County Texas. Clear Lake Park is sort of in the middle of Lavon Lake as it sits at the point of a peninsula in the lake. Thanks to this excellent location there is a lot of shore line for access the cool water of the lake. I am not sure where the name Clear Lake Park came from as every time that I have visited Clear Lake Park the water has been rather muddy! Although the campground is rather small and is in need of some freshening up it is a very pretty setting and is a perfect location to spend a weekend fishing and sw...

RV Camping on Lake Lavon | A Visit To Lavonia & East Fork Parks
At the end of Feb 2022 I loaded up the motor home and headed down the road to visit and explore Lavon Lake and two of the U.S. Army Corps Of Engineers campgrounds, Lavoina Park and East Fork Park. Lavon Lake is the primary water source for most of Collin county Texas and as such the public campgrounds are always very busy during the warmer months so a winter camping trip will always ensure that you get a great campsite on the banks of Lake Lavon. In this video I explore tow of the three public campgrounds on Lavon Lake and show you all of the important stuff you need to know to plan you camping trip to Lavon Lake. Lake Lavon Swallowed Tristan's Boat!?!?
In this video, Tristan fishes Lake Lavon with his buddy Dustin for a small club tournament. After a good practice (our last video), we were looking forward to what the tournament day had to bring us. However, we had no idea what it would end up bringing. Very lucky to have escaped this one relatively unscathed, all glory to GOD! We just wanted to give one more huge shoutout to our buddy Dustin who you saw Tristan fishing with in the video, as well as my dad, the service crew, and everyone else who helped out with the boat! It was great to see how many people were so willing to drop everything and help. Also wanted to let everyone know that even though Dustin stayed back for a while to help out, he still made the dance with his daughters on time! Also, our fish did escape the livewell d...

At the beginning of the summer of 2022 I loaded up Trudy Thunder the Super C RV and rolled down the road to the closest public campground to my RV home base, Clear Lake Park. This beautiful little U.S. Army Corps of engineers campground on the shores of Lavon Lake in Collin County Texas.
Clear Lake Park is sort of in the middle of Lavon Lake as it sits at the point of a peninsula in the lake. Thanks to this excellent location there is a lot of shore line for access the cool water of the lake.
I am not sure where the name Clear Lake Park came from as every time that I have visited Clear Lake Park the water has been rather muddy! Although the campground is rather small and is in need of some freshening up it is a very pretty setting and is a perfect location to spend a weekend fishing and swimming.

At the end of Feb 2022 I loaded up the motor home and headed down the road to visit and explore Lavon Lake and two of the U.S. Army Corps Of Engineers campgrounds, Lavoina Park and East Fork Park.
Lavon Lake is the primary water source for most of Collin county Texas and as such the public campgrounds are always very busy during the warmer months so a winter camping trip will always ensure that you get a great campsite on the banks of Lake Lavon.
In this video I explore tow of the three public campgrounds on Lavon Lake and show you all of the important stuff you need to know to plan you camping trip to Lavon Lake.

In this video, Tristan fishes Lake Lavon with his buddy Dustin for a small club tournament. After a good practice (our last video), we were looking forward to what the tournament day had to bring us. However, we had no idea what it would end up bringing. Very lucky to have escaped this one relatively unscathed, all glory to GOD! We just wanted to give one more huge shoutout to our buddy Dustin who you saw Tristan fishing with in the video, as well as my dad, the service crew, and everyone else who helped out with the boat! It was great to see how many people were so willing to drop everything and help. Also wanted to let everyone know that even though Dustin stayed back for a while to help out, he still made the dance with his daughters on time! Also, our fish did escape the livewell during the whole thing and luckily swam back into the lake unharmed, so overall, there was a lot of positives that helped null the negatives! Iain and I want to say thanks to everyone for watching, we’ll see you all on the next one!

Lavon Lake is a fresh water impoundment located in Collin County, Texas on the East Fork of the Trinity River near Wylie off of State Highway 78. It is commonly called Lake Lavon for commercial and recreational purposes but Lavon Lake is its official name according to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. It was originally called Lavon Reservoir.
