A Foreign Minister or Minister of Foreign Affairs is generally a cabinet minister in charge of a state's foreign policy and relations.
In some nations, such as India, the Foreign Minister is referred to as the Minister for External Affairs or, as in the case of Brazil and of the former Soviet Union, as the Minister of External Relations. In the United States the equivalent to the foreign ministry is called the Department of State, and the equivalent position is known as the Secretary of State. Other common titles may include minister of foreign relations. In many Spanish and Portuguese speaking countries in Latin America, the foreign minister is colloquially called canciller (chancellor).
A foreign minister's powers can vary from government to government. In a classic parliamentary system, a foreign minister can potentially exert significant influence in forming foreign policy but when the government is dominated by a strong prime minister the foreign minister may be limited to playing a more marginal or subsidiary role in determining policy. Similarly, the political powers invested in the foreign minister are often more limited in presidential governments with a strong executive. Since the end of World War II, it has been common for both the foreign minister and defense minister to be part of an inner cabinet (commonly known as a national security council) in order to coordinate defense and diplomatic policy. Although the 19th and early 20th centuries saw many heads of government assume the foreign ministry, this practice has since become uncommon in most developed nations.
This is a list of foreign ministers of Antigua and Barbuda.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) (Arabic: وزارة الخارجية‎) is the Ministry in the Cabinet of Bahrain that is responsible for conducting and managing diplomatic relations between Bahrain and other countries. It is headed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, the office currently held by Khalid bin Ahmed Al Khalifa.
In April 2012, King Hamad appointed Ghanim Al-Buainain, leader of the Salafist Al Asalah party, as the new Minister of State for Foreign Affairs.
Bootsie and Snudge is a British sitcom that aired on ITV from 1960 to 1963 and in 1974. The show is a spin-off of The Army Game, a sitcom about soldiers undertaking national service, and follows two of the main characters (played by Alfie Bass and Bill Fraser) after they returned to civilian life. The first series is titled Bootsie and Snudge in Civvy Life. Between the 1963 and 1974 series, a spin-off called Foreign Affairs was broadcast.
Private Montague 'Bootsie' Bisley and Sergeant Claude Snudge are two of the main characters in the successful sitcom The Army Game that aired from 1957 to 1961. Snudge enjoys his position of superiority over Bootsie, whilst Bootsie feels comfortable in his position as it allows him to mock and hate Snudge (and attack authority in general). Clive Dunn - later best known as Corporal Jones in Dad's Army - plays 83-year-old Henry, despite at the time being only 38. in 1961 a comic strip was published in TV Comic telling the story of how Bootsie and Snudge began.
"Foreign Affairs" is the 17th episode of the ninth season of the animated comedy series Family Guy. It aired on Fox in the United States on May 15, 2011. The episode was titled "Games People Play" in the UK for BBC Three. In the episode, Bonnie and Lois take a little trip to Paris where Bonnie crosses the line.
The episode was written by Anthony Blasucci and Mike Desilets, and directed by Pete Michels.
Bonnie and Lois take a trip to Paris, but Lois becomes shocked when Bonnie announces that she plans on having an affair. Lois tries to distract her with sightseeing and shopping but Bonnie insists on checking out guys. Bonnie explains that she and Joe have been growing apart but Lois intervenes when Bonnie draws the interest of a man, pulling her away and reminding her of her commitment to Joe and Susie. But when Lois returns from shopping, she finds Bonnie with François, another paraplegic in her room. François asks Bonnie to stay in Paris with him and Bonnie agrees, telling Lois she is considering the offer. When Bonnie tells Lois she decided to stay, Lois reveals she called Joe to try to talk some sense into her. Joe apologizes for neglecting her and makes his case for Bonnie to return home. François begs Bonnie to stay with him. Bonnie is hesitant until Joe proves his love for her by standing and walking. Bonnie agrees to stay with Joe but as they leave Quagmire is revealed to be strapped to Joe's back and legs to help him walk.
Foreign Affairs is a 1984 novel by Alison Lurie, which concerns itself with American academics in England. The novel won multiple awards, including the Pulitzer Prize for fiction in 1985, was nominated for the 1984 National Book Award, and was made into a television movie in 1993.
Unmarried fifty-four-year-old Virginia Miner (Vinnie), a professor at Corinth University who specializes in children's literature, is off to London for another research trip. She loves England and likes to feel that she fits in well there. She is hoping to produce an important new book about playground rhymes. However, she finds that her work has been trashed by a critic, L. D. Zimmern of Columbia, for whom she imagines monstrous dooms.
The author makes a point of telling us that Vinnie is not beautiful — perhaps rather homely — but that she has had her share of affairs nevertheless, and a brief marriage. Although she enjoys these flings, she has stopped believing that falling or being in love is a good thing.

After 30 years of chaos and conflict, this was going to be a critical year for Somalia. It was supposed to be the first one-person-one-vote election in 50 years. However, in September, that plan was abandoned and replaced with indirect elections for Parliament in December and for the president on February 8. Neither happened. Now, the official time in office of President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmaajo has come on an end. And without political agreement, opposition leaders have declared Farmaajo’s government illegitimate. So, what is next for Somalia? Will the government remain in office? Or will there be a power vacuum? Somalia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Mohamed Abdirizak talks to Al Jazeera. - Subscribe to our channel: http://aje.io/AJSubscribe - Follow us on Twitter: https://twitter.c...
