Sinclair ZX Spectrum Story - Birth of a Classic | Nostalgia Nerd
The ZX Spectrum is 35 years old on 23rd April 2017, and it also holds a very special place in my heart, so it's time to wish it a happy birthday... It's the machine I grew up with and which led me to creating this very channel. I've covered the Sinclair ZX Spectrum in the past, but frankly I didn't do it justice, so we're revisiting Sir Clive's iconic 8 bit home micro in detail, starting with The Sinclair Years in this two part documentary.
This first part explores Clive Sinclair's early years, from his childhood to the formation of Sinclair Radionics in 1961, through the mini amplifier period, pocket calculator, black watch and finally his range of computers, starting with the MK14 and culminating in the ZX Spectrum 128k. We'll look at the people involved behind the Spectrum such as Jim...

Games That Push The Limits of The ZX Spectrum
The ZX Spectrum, not the most powerful machine, but it's tremendous popularity over the years meant that there were plenty of developers who were willing to really push the limits of what it could do. Many games were shoe-horned into it that you might not expect would fit, some good, some not so good!

Top 50 ZX Spectrum games of 1985 - in under 10 minutes
Hello and welcome to the fourth episode of TOP 50 games in under 10 minutes.
We go back to 1985 today to check what kind of games we played on our beloved ZX Spectrum back then and to see the games that we think are the top 50 games for ZX Spectrum in that year.
Looking back, the 1985 was a year that shown us what can be done with the little old "Speccy".
The graphics and animations in Robin of The Wood, Nodes of Yesod, Mikie and Way of The Exploding Fist were really first class. And we can't forget the 3d masterpiece that was Elite from Firebird Software. We also got some fantastic shooters that year, like Commando and Rambo.

50 Games That Defined The ZX SPECTRUM 1982-1991
Do you remember… The ZX Spectrum had so many fantastic, and very important releases for the future development of video games, in the library. There were also some great ports of arcade games, but as these games had their origin on the arcade machines they can not define the ZX Spectrum, they define the arcade games from that era.
Games are, as always, presented in no particular order.
Have fun and let us know in the comments if you agree with our choices (and if we missed a title that should be on the list), and see you in the next one!
