Baja Prog

Baja Prog is an annual progressive rock festival in Mexicali, Baja California, Mexico, held since 1997. It draws a number of well-known bands in the genre, and an average of 1500 attendees each day.

Baja: Edge of Control

Baja: Edge of Control is an off road racing videogame developed by 2XL Games for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. The game gets its name from the real life Baja 1000 off-road race, on which it is based. The game is set on over 95 different tracks, including 3 different Baja 250 courses, 2 Baja 500 courses, and 1 Baja 1000 course. The game was released September 22, 2008 in North America and September 26, 2008 in Europe.

Gameplay

The game is targeted as an arcade off road racer, very similar to Colin McRae: Dirt and is based on endurance racing across the desert. Multiplayer options include playing other players through Xbox Live, PlayStation Network, System Link and up to 4 player split screen.

Reception

The game received average ratings from most reviewers averaging out at around 6 or 7 out of 10. However, it's been nominated for the best racing game of 2008 by GameSpot.

Baja, Hungary

Baja (Hungarian pronunciation: [ˈbɒjɒ]; German: Frankenstadt) is a city in Bács-Kiskun County, southern Hungary. It is the second largest city in the county, after the county seat at Kecskemét, and is home to some 37,000 people.

The environs of Baja have been continuously inhabited since the end of the Iron Age, but there is evidence of human presence since prehistoric times. The settlement itself was most likely established in the 14th century. After the Ottoman Empire conquered Hungary, it grew to prominence more than other nearby settlements, and was granted town rights in 1696.

Today, Baja plays an important role in the life of Northern Bácska as a local commercial centre and the provider of public services such as education and healthcare.

It has several roads and a railway connection to other parts of the country, and also offers local Public transport for its residents.

Being close to the Danube and the forest of Gemenc, as well as having its own cultural sights, makes it a candidate for tourism, but this is not well established yet.

Prog magazine is a British magazine dedicated to progressive rock music.

History and profile

Prog is published by TeamRock, who are also responsible for its "sister" publications Classic Rock and Metal Hammer. The magazine is edited by Jerry Ewing and focuses on artists and bands from the past and present. The magazine is part of Future Publishing.

Prog was published nine times per year until 2012 when its frequency was switched to ten times a year.

According to The Guardian in 2010, the magazine was selling 22,000 copies an issue, half the circulation of the NME. Journalist and broadcaster Gavin Esler described it in 2014 as "one of the few music magazines I can think of whose circulation is healthy".

Prog (album)

Prog is the fifth studio album recorded by jazz trio The Bad Plus. Like previous Bad Plus recordings, Prog features several covers including "Everybody Wants to Rule the World" by Tears for Fears, "Life on Mars?" by David Bowie, and "Tom Sawyer" by Rush. It was released on 8 May 2007.
