Rock Climbing in Norway: Multi Pitch Climbing in Setesdal
Setesdal is a rock climbing area in Norway - it is a three hours drive west of Oslo and a two hours drive north of Kristiansand. The rock climbing you will find in Setesdal is granite primarily multi-pitch slab climbing, but there are also crack climbing, and a few single pitch sport climbing crags as well as bouldering crags. Being mostly slab, the long multipitch rock climbing routes are varied with both classical structures such as cracks and edges, but also loads crimps.
The landscape in Setesdal is very beautiful with the tall fjells, mountains and long rivers and lakes.
The main towns in the Setesdal valley are Valle and Rysstad. The rock climbing routes are spread around the area, and the mountains in the area has several sectors, which contains multipitch rock climbing routes in...

Basert på tidligere fysisk-antropologiske undersøkelser i Setesdal, forventet de å finne en særlig renraset nordisk befolkning der. Hva tenker lokalmiljøet om deres forskning i dag?
Anthropologists Kristian and Alette Scheiner went to Setesdal to study the local population in the early 1900s. Based on previous anthropological studies in that area, they expected to find a nearly pure Nordic racial type in the population. How is their research seen today by the locals?

Beautiful Nature of NORWAY - Setesdal [ Panasonic GX80/GX85 ]
We were traveling through denmark and norway this summer. This is my second video of this trip. Locations of Setesdal in this video are Byglandsfjord, Valle, Gloppefossen, Sarvsfossen dam, Vatnedalsdammen and Hovden.

I tried out a lot with filming and learned a lot this way. Majority of the shots where taken with the LAOWA 7.5mm lens as it was new and i wanted to try it out. I did not use a steadycam on the hikes so the walking footage is a bit shaky.

Während es in der Setelsdalsheiane eher flach ist mit guten Wegen und schönen Hütten, ist es in der Sirdalsheiane eher gebirgig, steinig und rauher. Description: In the practice of traditional music and dance in Setesdal, traditional dance and music belong together. The melodies are named after the ‘gangar’ dance and the ‘stev’ songs are often performed in the intervals between the dancing/playing, either solo or by two or more singers in dialogue with each other. The dance is performed by couples in a clockwise circle and the music is played on the Hardanger fiddle and the jaw harp. Setesdal has been transmitted continuously since the 18th century, and continues to evolve, with new songs and tunes being composed constantly.

The rock climbing you will find in Setesdal is granite primarily multi-pitch slab climbing, but there are also crack climbing, and a few single pitch sport climbing crags as well as bouldering crags. Being mostly slab, the long multipitch rock climbing routes are varied with both classical structures such as cracks and edges, but also loads crimps.
