After our Puerto Rico AI conference in 2015 and our Asilomar Beneficial AI conference in 2017, we returned to Puerto Rico at the start of 2019 to talk about Beneficial AGI. We couldn’t be more excited to see all of the groups, organizations, conferences and workshops that have cropped up in the last few years to ensure that AI today and in the near future will be safe and beneficial. And so we now wanted to look further ahead to artificial general intelligence (AGI), the classic goal of AI research, which promises tremendous transformation in society. Beyond mitigating risks, we want to explore how we can design AGI to help us create the best future for humanity.
We again brought together an amazing group of AI researchers from academia and industry, as well as thought leaders in economics, law, policy, ethics, and philosophy for five days dedicated to beneficial AI. We hosted a two-day technical workshop to look more deeply at how we can create beneficial AGI, and we followed that with a 2.5-day conference, in which people from a broader AI background considered the opportunities and challenges related to the future of AGI and steps we can take today to move toward an even better future.

Artificial intelligence or A.I is vital in the 21st century global economy. The development of A.I algorithms have made automation critical in almost every field of technology. As we make technological progress, one day, we will eventually have the capacity to build a super intelligence or Artificial general intelligence commonly known as A.G.I. But before that day comes, we have to solve the A.I alignment problem. The development of autonomous weapons seems like a step backwards of that goal. Humanity has to solve the A.I control problem if we want to survive. An A.G.I might decide to exterminate us if it sees us as a threat to its existence. Jasmin Agić
Jasmin Agić (born 26 December 1974) is a Croatian football midfielder, currently unattached. He made his debut for the Croatia national football team on 10 March 1999 against Greece, coming on as a 61st-minute substitute in for Goran Jurić. He went on to be capped a total of 14 times for his country.
On 13 December 2011 the player was sentenced to 9 months of prison due to his involvement in match fixing.
Personal life
His wife, Sanja, is also Istrian, from Opatija, and she's the daughter of former football legendary captain of HNK Rijeka, Srećko Juričić. They married in 2000 in his wife's hometown Opatija, and have two sons together.

AGi32
AGi32 is a simulation tool used for designing lighting projects and calculating the amount of light that will be delivered based on user-set parameters. The resulting calculations are commonly referred to as layouts or point-by-points. AGi32 can calculate the amount of light that will be delivered in any kind of design, interior or exterior, and incorporate surrounding objects, obstructions, and varying shapes like vaulted ceilings or rooms in non-linear shapes. It aids lighting designers, engineers, and electrical contractors in the evaluation of lighting designs for projects before they are built.
Features
In addition to calculating the amount of light in a space, AGi32 can create photo-realistic renderings of how an area will look once light fixtures are installed. It can compute the amount of energy used as well as glare metrics, and can incorporate a variety of situational design needs such as custom aiming, numerous rooms and objects in the same project, and it includes utilities for estimating fixture spacing. The software is designed to determine the amount of light reaching a designated surface or work plane for any type of application. Obtrusive light (exterior) may be calculated and compared against several US and international standards for code compliance. Roadway lighting grids may be laid out per North American (IES) specifications or per several different global lighting standards.

After our Puerto Rico AI conference in 2015 and our Asilomar Beneficial AI conference in 2017, we returned to Puerto Rico at the start of 2019 to talk about Beneficial AGI. We couldn’t be more excited to see all of the groups, organizations, conferences and workshops that have cropped up in the last few years to ensure that AI today and in the near future will be safe and beneficial. And so we now wanted to look further ahead to artificial general intelligence (AGI), the classic goal of AI research, which promises tremendous transformation in society. Beyond mitigating risks, we want to explore how we can design AGI to help us create the best future for humanity.
We again brought together an amazing group of AI researchers from academia and industry, as well as thought leaders in economics, law, policy, ethics, and philosophy for five days dedicated to beneficial AI. We hosted a two-day technical workshop to look more deeply at how we can create beneficial AGI, and we followed that with a 2.5-day conference, in which people from a broader AI background considered the opportunities and challenges related to the future of AGI and steps we can take today to move toward an even better future.

After our Puerto Rico AI conference in 2015 and our Asilomar Beneficial AI conference in 2017, we returned to Puerto Rico at the start of 2019 to talk about Beneficial AGI. We couldn’t be more excited to see all of the groups, organizations, conferences and workshops that have cropped up in the last few years to ensure that AI today and in the near future will be safe and beneficial. And so we now wanted to look further ahead to artificial general intelligence (AGI), the classic goal of AI research, which promises tremendous transformation in society. Beyond mitigating risks, we want to explore how we can design AGI to help us create the best future for humanity.
We again brought together an amazing group of AI researchers from academia and industry, as well as thought leaders in economics, law, policy, ethics, and philosophy for five days dedicated to beneficial AI. We hosted a two-day technical workshop to look more deeply at how we can create beneficial AGI, and we followed that with a 2.5-day conference, in which people from a broader AI background considered the opportunities and challenges related to the future of AGI and steps we can take today to move toward an even better future.

As we make technological progress, one day, we will eventually have the capacity to build a super intelligence or Artificial general intelligence commonly known as A.G.I. But before that day comes, we have to solve the A.I alignment problem. The development of autonomous weapons seems like a step backwards of that goal. Humanity has to solve the A.I control problem if we want to survive. An A.G.I might decide to exterminate us if it sees us as a threat to its existence. In this video we explain the current development of A.I systems which will lead inevitably to the rise of an artificial general intelligence.
