Ent
Ents are a race of beings in J. R. R. Tolkien's fantasy world Middle-earth who closely resemble trees. They are similar to the talking trees in folklore around the world. Their name is derived from the Anglo-Saxon word for giant.
The Ents appear in The Lord of the Rings as ancient shepherds of the forest and allies of the free peoples of Middle-earth during the War of the Ring. The Ent who figures most prominently in the book is Treebeard, who (credibly) claims to be the oldest creature in Middle-earth. At the time The Lord of the Rings takes place, there are no young Ents (Entings) because the Entwives (female Ents) were lost. The Ents are akin to Huorns, whom Treebeard describes as a transitional form of trees which become animated or, conversely, as Ents who grow more "treelike" over time.
Inspired by Tolkien and similar traditions, animated or anthropomorphic tree creatures appear in a variety of media and works of fantasy.
Etymology
The word "Ent" was taken from the Anglo-Saxon (Old English) word ent, meaning "giant". Tolkien borrowed the word from the Anglo-Saxon phrases orþanc enta geweorc ("work of cunning giants") and eald enta geweorc ("old work of giants", which describes Roman ruins). In this sense, Ents are probably the most ubiquitous of all creatures in fantasy and folklore, perhaps second only to dragons, for the word can refer to a variety of large, roughly humanoid creatures, such as giants, orcs, trolls, or even the monster Grendel from the poem Beowulf.

Ents24 is a live entertainment website that provides listings, information, and directs visitors to tickets for events encompassing live music, clubbing, cinema, theatre, arts, days out and stand-up comedy. The site contains details of around 100,000 events happening across the UK at any given time, and is visited by around 2 million people every month, making it the UK's busiest ticketing site after Ticketmaster.

Otorhinolaryngology
Otorhinolaryngology (Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, or OHNS) is the area of medicine that deals with disorders conditions of the ear, nose, and throat (ENT) region, and related areas of the head and neck. Doctors who specialize in this area are called otorhinolaryngologists, otolaryngologists, ENT doctors, ENT surgeons, or head and neck surgeons. Patients seek treatment from an otorhinolaryngologist for diseases of the ear, nose, throat, or base of the skull, and for the surgical management of cancers and benign tumors of the head and neck.
Etymology
The term is a combination of four Ancient Greek words: οὖς ous (gen.: ὠτός otos), "ear", ῥίς rhis, "nose", λάρυγξ larynx, "larynx" and -λογία -logia, "study" (cf. Greek ωτορινολαρυγγολόγος, "otorhinolaryngologist").
Training
Otorhinolaryngologists are physicians (MD, DO, MBBS, MBChB, etc.) who, in the United States, complete at least five years of surgical residency training. This is composed of one year in general surgical training and four years in otorhinolaryngology–head and neck surgery. (In the past it varied between two and three years of each.) In Canada, practitioners complete a five-year residency training after medical school.

The Lord of the Rings : The Two Towers. Merry and Pippin meet Treebeard. Here is our version of J.R.R. Tolkien's poem, "The Ents' Marching Song!" We worked hard to interpret this in the spirit of Tolkien's work and hope you enjoy it:)
A note on our interpretation:
With this song, we tried to interpret what happened in the book as authentically as possible. The drums and sound effects are meant to represent the sound of the Ents marching through the forest on their way to Isengard. The song starts off with lower voices and a slower tempo and then slowly builds, showing how the Ents are at first slow to move but when angered can come upon you as quickly and suddenly as an avalanche.
We hope you enjoy this as much as we do! Thanks very much for listening and for your support!

Plot :
Frodo (Elijah Wood), who carries the Ring, and his fellow Hobbit Sam (Sean Astin) are lost in the hills of Emyn Muil when they encounter Gollum (Andy Serkis). He volunteers to guide the pair to Mordor, but Sam does not trust him.
At the same time, Merry (Dominic Monaghan) and Pippin (Billy Boyd) are attempting to pass through Fangorn Forest where they discover a most unusual creature named Treebeard (John Rhys-Davies).

Here is our version of J.R.R. Tolkien's poem, "The Ents' Marching Song!" We worked hard to interpret this in the spirit of Tolkien's work and hope you enjoy it:)
A note on our interpretation:
With this song, we tried to interpret what happened in the book as authentically as possible. The drums and sound effects are meant to represent the sound of the Ents marching through the forest on their way to Isengard. The song starts off with lower voices and a slower tempo and then slowly builds, showing how the Ents are at first slow to move but when angered can come upon you as quickly and suddenly as an avalanche.

Storyline:

The Lord of the Rings : The Two Towers. Merry and Pippin meet Treebeard.
Plot :
Frodo (Elijah Wood), who carries the Ring, and his fellow Hobbit Sam (Sean Astin) are lost in the hills of Emyn Muil when they encounter Gollum (Andy Serkis). He volunteers to guide the pair to Mordor, but Sam does not trust him.
At the same time, Merry (Dominic Monaghan) and Pippin (Billy Boyd) are attempting to pass through Fangorn Forest where they discover a most unusual creature named Treebeard (John Rhys-Davies).
Finally, Aragorn (Viggo Mortensen), Gimli (John Rhys-Davies) and Legolas (Orlando Bloom) arrive in Rohan to discover that the evil powers of Saruman (Christopher Lee) have robbed King Theoden (Bernard Hill) of his rule.
Gandalf (Ian McKellen) offers his help as the Rohan attempts to face down Saruman's armies. They soon discover how great the task before them truly is when they learn that his troops consist of 10,000 bloodthirsty creatures specially bred to fight to the death.

Ent
Ents are a race of beings in J. R. R. Tolkien's fantasy world Middle-earth who closely resemble trees. They are similar to the talking trees in folklore around the world. Their name is derived from the Anglo-Saxon word for giant.
The Ents appear in The Lord of the Rings as ancient shepherds of the forest and allies of the free peoples of Middle-earth during the War of the Ring. The Ent who figures most prominently in the book is Treebeard, who (credibly) claims to be the oldest creature in Middle-earth. At the time The Lord of the Rings takes place, there are no young Ents (Entings) because the Entwives (female Ents) were lost. The Ents are akin to Huorns, whom Treebeard describes as a transitional form of trees which become animated or, conversely, as Ents who grow more "treelike" over time.
Inspired by Tolkien and similar traditions, animated or anthropomorphic tree creatures appear in a variety of media and works of fantasy.
Etymology
The word "Ent" was taken from the Anglo-Saxon (Old English) word ent, meaning "giant". Tolkien borrowed the word from the Anglo-Saxon phrases orþanc enta geweorc ("work of cunning giants") and eald enta geweorc ("old work of giants", which describes Roman ruins). In this sense, Ents are probably the most ubiquitous of all creatures in fantasy and folklore, perhaps second only to dragons, for the word can refer to a variety of large, roughly humanoid creatures, such as giants, orcs, trolls, or even the monster Grendel from the poem Beowulf.
