Daybreak (Dave Burrell album)

Daybreak is a studio album released by jazz pianist Dave Burrell. It was recorded in 1989 and released that same year by Gazell records. The album mainly features Burrell in duet with long-time jazz collaborator David Murray on reed instruments. Guitarist Kenny Burrell (no relation) is also featured in the track "Blue Hour."

Allmusic says that Burrell and Murray are "overtly experimental ... that doesn't play to the strengths of these musicians." Reviewer Brian Olewnick suggests listeners hear the quartet the two were a part of with Fred Hopkins and Andrew Cyrille around the same time this album was released in order to "better hear their capabilities."

Daybreak (Paul Field album)

Daybreak is the title of the second solo album by Christian singer-songwriter Paul Field. It is a musical about the last days of Christ's life on earth.

The song "Walking into the Wind" was originally on the 1977 Nutshell LP Flyaway.

Daybreak (Philippine TV program)

9TV Daybreak (formerly known as Solar Daybreak) was the English-language morning hard-news newscast of 9TV. It features daily headlines as well as national and local news, weather, traffic, sports, foreign, and entertainment stories. Its initial telecast was on October 1, 2012 on TalkTV, it airs every Weekdays at 7:00 am to 8:30 am (UTC+8:00). It is one of retained programs upon TalkTV's conversion into Solar News Channel.

On January 7, 2013, Amelyn Veloso from TV5, joined as new co-anchor and replaced Jing Magsaysay. But Veloso left Daybreak on May 30, 2014 when she was put as the host of public service program Serbisyo All Access, and was replaced by Hilary Isaac. On October 1, 2014, the day that the show's 2nd anniversary, Amelyn Veloso became the permanent replacement anchor for Claire Celdran and Claudine Trillo join the program as its co-anchor.

Daybreak ceases airing on March 13, 2015 as part of transition into CNN Philippines. It will be replaced by Headline News from March 16.

Daybreak (Ayumi Hamasaki song)

"Daybreak" is a song recorded by Japanese recording artist and lyricist Ayumi Hamasaki, released on March 6, 2002 as the eighth and final single on her fourth studio album I am.... Influenced by the recent events off the September 11 attacks in New York City and Washington D.C. in North America, Hamasaki sought a new inspiration for her then-forthcoming album; instead off writing songs about confusion, loneliness and love like her previous efforts, she was encouraged to engage in more peaceful and worldly themes. This resulted into several songs on I Am..., including "Daybreak".

Musically, there are two versions; the album version which is influenced by pop rock and Americanized alternative rock music, while the single version utilizes synthpop, trip hop and dark ambient music. The lyrical content talks about achievement and self-empowerment. Upon the release, "Daybreak" received mixed to favorable reviews from most music critics, who had praised Hamasaki's vocal abilities and likened the production, while critics were divided with the single version and lack of innovation. An accompanying music video was shot by Wataru Takeishi for the single version, which featured Hamasaki walking on deserted highway in early hours off the morning.

Daybreak (1983 TV series)

Daybreak was an early morning news programme on the former United Kingdom breakfast station TV-am. It ran from 06:00 to 07:00 with an emphasis on news stories. The first edition was broadcast on the TV-am launch date of 1 February 1983. Daybreak was presented by Robert Kee and Angela Rippon who both took turns in presenting. As TV-am's viewing figures fell after its launch, a major shake up took place.

Daybreak was cut back to 30mins from 28 February 1983. Robert Kee and Angela Rippon were both replaced, with Gavin Scot (Weekdays) and Lynda Barry (weekends)

Daybreak was then cut to only 15 minutes, as well as moving to a green screen studio. Daybreak was axed from Monday 23 May 1983.

The name was revived in 2010 for ITV's replacement for GMTV.
