Located in the Kellys Golf Links Hotel, the club is the largest in the complex, which houses a number of bars. Opened in 1996, it has played host to the majority of the worlds notable electronic dance music DJs, including Armin van Buuren, Hardwell, Paul van Dyk, Tiesto, Sasha, Ferry Corsten, Fat Boy Slim and Eddie Halliwell.
Opening two nights a week (Saturday mainly for clubbers from all over Ireland and Wednesday for local University of Ulster students), the venue does not use external promoters or host club nights, being a self-contained operation. The promoter, and manager of the club, Col Hamilton, is also the resident DJ. Music on resident-played nights would generally be house music, but the regular guest DJs are more likely to play trance music.
Shortly after opening, CJ Agnelli of Agnelli & Nelson immortalised the club with one of his first releases, titled "Lush", and the later remixes, "Lush Gold". The cover art of both releases featured the clubs logo, a large yellow/orange circle. An edition of Discover Records "Live As" series has also been recorded at the venue.
Alfred Wyndham Lushington, C.I.E. (22 September 1860 - 26 March 1920) was an Anglo-Indian dendrologist born in Allahabad, India and who worked primarily in the Madras Presidency.
Lush is a cosmetics retailer headquartered in Poole, Dorset, United Kingdom. The company was founded by Mark Constantine, a trichologist and Liz Weir, a beauty therapist. They met in a hair and beauty salon in Poole, England. A few years later, they decided to branch out and start their own business selling natural hair and beauty products.
In the early 80s, Constantine read about Anita Roddick, who had just started The Body Shop. He called her and offered some of his products. She initially placed an order for £1,200 to start with, and from there Constantine and Weir developed products for The Body Shop and became the company's largest supplier for over a decade. It was at this point The Body Shop decided to buy their product formulas.
The Body Shop's purchase of their product formulas forbade Mark and Liz from opening another retail shop for five years, so they set up a mail order cosmetics company called Cosmetics-To-Go. It was a successful although complicated venture that ended up burning out. The company went into administration and sold to someone from Poole, who took the product formulas and the Cosmetics-To-Go name.
Lush are an English alternative rock band, formed in 1987, disbanded in 1998, and reunited in 2015. The current lineup consists of Miki Berenyi (vocals, guitar), Emma Anderson (vocals, guitar), Phil King (bass) and Justin Welch (drums).
They were one of the first bands to have been described with the "shoegazing" label. Later, their sound moved toward Britpop.
The band formed in 1987 in London, initially named The Baby Machines (after a line in the Siouxsie and the Banshees song "Arabian Knights"), with a lineup of Meriel Barham (vocals), Anderson (guitar, vocals), Berenyi (guitar, vocals), Steve Rippon (bass) and Chris Acland (drums).
Anderson and Berenyi had been school friends, having known each other since the early 1980s, and together published the Alphabet Soup fanzine. In 1986, Anderson joined The Rover Girls as bassist, and Berenyi joined The Bugs, also as a bass player. Neither band lasted long, and in 1987, they joined Barham and Acland in The Baby Machines. Rippon joined shortly thereafter, and the band members decided on a change of name to Lush, making their live debut at the Camden Falcon on 6 March 1988. Barham left the band and later joined Pale Saints. Berenyi then took on lead vocal duties.

Single girl I don't wanna be a single girl
Single girl I don't wanna be a single girl
Don't wanna be on my own again tonight
Don't wanna put out the light
Single girl who would wanna be a single girl
Don't wanna talk to myself again tonight
Don't wanna put out the light
When you abandoned me
Well it was heaven-sent
When I abandoned you
It was what you meant
Well it was you that knew it
And it was you that went
Having changed our minds it was meant to be
Don't wanna clean up your mess again tonight
Don't have to be in a fight
I'm going to what I want again tonight
Living without you - it's alright
