    My first trip on my new to me 2010 Ocean Kayak Trident 13. Finally caught my first Shibi(Yellowfin tuna smaller than 100#)! Didn’t find bait(Opelu) cause mainly messing around with the kayak setup. Good friend Shane gave me an Opelu(Mackeral Scad) which I promptly put in the water on a wire stinger rig. Bait was in the water not even a couple minutes when the Shibi took it! Thank God and Shane for the blessings!

    Fishing adventure with Go Fishing Hawaii on the island of Oahu. The cost was about $180/person (plus tips) for the five of us. Although we all caught tuna, the sharks sure loved to eat Dave's fish before he was able to land them in the boat! Izak got motion sickness but enjoyed filming the sharks while chumming the water with vomit. Although the boat captain was friendly and helpful, his first mate, Danny, was unprofessional. From the looks of new ownership, it appears both have moved on. Lesson learned: One thing we did not know was that we could not keep all the fish caught. The crew kept it and probably sold it to the to the local market for a greater profit.
