►StarCraft II features the return of the three species from the original game: Protoss, Terran, and Zerg. In the Terran campaign, the original StarCraft briefing room is replaced with an interactive version of the battlecruiser Hyperion, with Jim Raynor, now a bitter and hard-drinking mercenary captain, as the central character. In a departure from previous Blizzard games, the campaign is non-linear, with Raynor taking jobs for money and using that money to buy additional units and upgrades.
►Starcraft 2 Legacy of the Void. You are Hierarch Artanis, leader of the mighty protoss race. Years ago, your homeworld of Aiur fell to the merciless zerg Swarm. Now, at long last, you have raised a powerful fleet of warships known as the Golden Armada, and are poised to reclaim your world. But an ancient evil—Amon—threatens this destiny and the fate of the entire galaxy. Only you can reunite the protoss factions and defeat the coming darkness before it consumes all life in the sector.
►Starcraft 2 Wings of Liberty features approximately the same number of units as the original StarCraft. Some units from the original game have returned, some featuring new upgrades and abilities. Wings of Liberty has 29 playable campaign missions, but only 26 of them are playable in a single playthrough since three missions are choice-related alternates.
►Starcraft 2 Heart of the Swarm has 20 missions in the campaign (plus 7 evolution missions which allows the player to upgrade its units), and continues the story from Wings of Liberty.The player plays from the perspective of Sarah Kerrigan, recently returned to her human form by Jim Raynor. Similar to Wings of Liberty, the briefing room is replaced with an interactive exploration of the Leviathan, an enormous zerg breed which functions as a Bioship. Kerrigan and her allies are located in the nerve center, she has a personal chamber for altering her abilities, and there is an evolution pit where she can upgrade her units and perform evolution missions with the evolution master Abathur.

Races of StarCraft
Blizzard Entertainment's bestselling real-time strategy game series StarCraft revolves around interstellar affairs in a distant sector of the galaxy, with three species and multiple factions all vying for supremacy in the sector. The playable species of StarCraft include the Terrans, humans exiled from Earth who excel at adapting to any situation; the Zerg, a race of insectoids obsessed with assimilating other races in pursuit of genetic perfection; and the Protoss, a humanoid species with advanced technology and psionic abilities, attempting to preserve their civilization and strict philosophical way of living from the Zerg. Each of these races has a single campaign in each StarCraft real-time strategy game. In addition to these three, various non-playable races have also been part of the lore of the StarCraft series; the most notable of these is the Xel'Naga, a race which features prominently in the fictional histories of the Protoss and Zerg races.
The original game has sold over 10 million copies internationally, and remains one of the most popular games in the world. Farman F.60 Goliath
The Farman F.60 Goliath was an airliner and bomber produced by the Farman Aviation Works from 1919. It was instrumental in the creation of early airlines and commercial routes in Europe after World War I.
Design and development
The Goliath was initially designed in 1918 as a heavy bomber capable of carrying 1,000 kg (2,200 lb) of bombs with a range of 1,500 km (930 mi). It was a fixed-undercarriage three-bay biplane of fabric-covered wood construction, powered by two Salmson Z.9 engines. It had a simple and robust, yet light structure. The wings were rectangular with a constant profile with aerodynamically balanced ailerons fitted to both upper and lower wings.
It was undergoing initial testing when World War I came to an end and Farman realized there would be no orders for his design. Nonetheless he was quick to understand that the big, box-like fuselage of the Goliath could be easily modified to convert the aircraft into an airliner. Commercial aviation was beginning to be developed and was in need of purpose-built aircraft. With the new passenger cabin arrangement, the Goliath could carry up to 12 or 14 passengers. It had large windows to give the passengers a view of the surroundings. The Salmson engines could be replaced by other types (Renault, Lorraine) if a customer desired it. Approximately 60 F.60 Goliaths were built. Between 1927 and 1929, eight Goliaths with various engines were built under licence in Czechoslovakia, four by Avia and four by Letov.

Goliath (Walibi Holland)
Goliath is a steel roller coaster located at the Walibi Holland theme park in Biddinghuizen, Dronten in the Netherlands. It is described as "the fastest, highest and longest coaster in the Benelux". It was mainland Europe's second Intamin "Mini Hyper Rollercoaster", so named as the ride is styled on the larger (generally over 200 feet (61 m)) ride, but with a lower maximum height of 153 feet (47 m). The train travels at speeds of up to 66 miles per hour (106 km/h) along 3,982 feet (1,214 m) of track.
Ride information
The roller coaster is another collaboration of Swiss manufacturer Intamin and German engineer Werner Stengel. It employs basically the same technology as Expedition GeForce with a cable lift hill, similarly set up trains and is set beside a lake. The ride premiered in the 2002 season.
Ride layout
After climbing out of the station, the train is released from the catch car at the top of the lift hill and accelerates down the 152-foot (46 m) first drop and runs over a large hill. After dropping for the second time, it ascends a hill called a Stengel Dive, the top being overbanked to around 100° to the right, before dropping down into a 270° downward helix. After medium-sized curved hill, it negotiates a 380° upwards helix and a bend to take the track parallel to the lift hill. Before entering the brake run, riders experience considerable air-time on three bunny hops.

►Starcraft 2 Wings of Liberty features approximately the same number of units as the original StarCraft. Some units from the original game have returned, some featuring new upgrades and abilities. Wings of Liberty has 29 playable campaign missions, but only 26 of them are playable in a single playthrough since three missions are choice-related alternates.
►Starcraft 2 Heart of the Swarm has 20 missions in the campaign (plus 7 evolution missions which allows the player to upgrade its units), and continues the story from Wings of Liberty.The player plays from the perspective of Sarah Kerrigan, recently returned to her human form by Jim Raynor. Similar to Wings of Liberty, the briefing room is replaced with an interactive exploration of the Leviathan, an enormous zerg breed which functions as a Bioship. Kerrigan and her allies are located in the nerve center, she has a personal chamber for altering her abilities, and there is an evolution pit where she can upgrade her units and perform evolution missions with the evolution master Abathur.

Strap yourselves in. We're taking a deep dive into the lore of one of the most iconic real-time strategy franchises ever made, StarCraft. There's a lot to unpack here, so you may want to construct some additional pylons.
Before we even get to the first StarCraft game, we have to go waaaaay back. The oldest beings in the StarCraft universe are called the Xel'Naga; they are frequently mentioned but take a while to actually appear.
Good question, Sarah. They're basically the "great old ones" of StarCraft. The Xel'Naga believe the universe follows a cyclical pattern and seek to influence two separate races to become embodiments of two separate virtues: "Purity of Form" and "Purity of Essence." Eventually, those races would come together to create a new version of Xel'Naga, and the cycle could begin anew.
The Xel'Naga are seen as architects of the universe, in a way: they influence other creatures in an attempt to build up their own survival and ideology. They re-enter the story later on, so don't forget about them.
The Protoss were the race chosen by the Xel'Naga as the race that best encapsulated "Purity of Form." Their psychic links and excellent physical traits made them a powerful option, and the Xel'Naga eventually came to the Protoss homeworlds to guide them directly.
However, the Protoss eventually began to question the Xel'Naga's motivation for helping them, which led to the Xel'Naga leaving their homeworld, Aiur. With the Xel'Naga no longer guiding them, Protoss advancement slowed and the different tribes began to resent each other. They soon entered a great civil war, called the Aeon of Strife, which was one of the longest and bloodiest conflicts in the history of the universe.

In the Terran campaign, the original StarCraft briefing room is replaced with an interactive version of the battlecruiser Hyperion, with Jim Raynor, now a bitter and hard-drinking mercenary captain, as the central character. In a departure from previous Blizzard games, the campaign is non-linear, with Raynor taking jobs for money and using that money to buy additional units and upgrades.
►Starcraft 2 Legacy of the Void. You are Hierarch Artanis, leader of the mighty protoss race. Years ago, your homeworld of Aiur fell to the merciless zerg Swarm. Now, at long last, you have raised a powerful fleet of warships known as the Golden Armada, and are poised to reclaim your world. But an ancient evil—Amon—threatens this destiny and the fate of the entire galaxy. Only you can reunite the protoss factions and defeat the coming darkness before it consumes all life in the sector.
►Starcraft 2 Wings of Liberty features approximately the same number of units as the original StarCraft. Some units from the original game have returned, some featuring new upgrades and abilities. Wings of Liberty has 29 playable campaign missions, but only 26 of them are playable in a single playthrough since three missions are choice-related alternates.
►Starcraft 2 Heart of the Swarm has 20 missions in the campaign (plus 7 evolution missions which allows the player to upgrade its units), and continues the story from Wings of Liberty.The player plays from the perspective of Sarah Kerrigan, recently returned to her human form by Jim Raynor. Similar to Wings of Liberty, the briefing room is replaced with an interactive exploration of the Leviathan, an enormous zerg breed which functions as a Bioship. Kerrigan and her allies are located in the nerve center, she has a personal chamber for altering her abilities, and there is an evolution pit where she can upgrade her units and perform evolution missions with the evolution master Abathur.

Strap yourselves in. We're taking a deep dive into the lore of one of the most iconic real-time strategy franchises ever made, StarCraft. There's a lot to unpack here, so you may want to construct some additional pylons.
Before we even get to the first StarCraft game, we have to go waaaaay back. The oldest beings in the StarCraft universe are called the Xel'Naga; they are frequently mentioned but take a while to actually appear.
Good question, Sarah. They're basically the "great old ones" of StarCraft. The Xel'Naga believe the universe follows a cyclical pattern and seek to influence two separate races to become embodiments of two separate virtues: "Purity of Form" and "Purity of Essence." Eventually, those races would come together to create a new version of Xel'Naga, and the cycle could begin anew.
The Xel'Naga are seen as architects of the universe, in a way: they influence other creatures in an attempt to build up their own survival and ideology. They re-enter the story later on, so don't forget about them.
The Protoss were the race chosen by the Xel'Naga as the race that best encapsulated "Purity of Form." Their psychic links and excellent physical traits made them a powerful option, and the Xel'Naga eventually came to the Protoss homeworlds to guide them directly.
However, the Protoss eventually began to question the Xel'Naga's motivation for helping them, which led to the Xel'Naga leaving their homeworld, Aiur. With the Xel'Naga no longer guiding them, Protoss advancement slowed and the different tribes began to resent each other. They soon entered a great civil war, called the Aeon of Strife, which was one of the longest and bloodiest conflicts in the history of the universe.

Races of StarCraft
Blizzard Entertainment's bestselling real-time strategy game series StarCraft revolves around interstellar affairs in a distant sector of the galaxy, with three species and multiple factions all vying for supremacy in the sector. The playable species of StarCraft include the Terrans, humans exiled from Earth who excel at adapting to any situation; the Zerg, a race of insectoids obsessed with assimilating other races in pursuit of genetic perfection; and the Protoss, a humanoid species with advanced technology and psionic abilities, attempting to preserve their civilization and strict philosophical way of living from the Zerg. Each of these races has a single campaign in each StarCraft real-time strategy game. In addition to these three, various non-playable races have also been part of the lore of the StarCraft series; the most notable of these is the Xel'Naga, a race which features prominently in the fictional histories of the Protoss and Zerg races.
The original game has sold over 10 million copies internationally, and remains one of the most popular games in the world. Previous to this, most real-time strategy games consisted of factions and races with the same basic play styles and units with only superficial differences. The use of unique sides in StarCraft has been credited with popularizing the concept within the real-time strategy genre.
