What is TRE? - *Trauma Release Exercises* Full TRE interview with David Berceli Ph.D. in Amsterdam 2018. David Berceli, Ph.D. is an international expert in the areas of trauma intervention and conflict resolution. He is the creator of Tension & Trauma Releasing Exercises (TRE). This revolutionary technique is designed to help release the deep tension created in the body during a traumatic experience or through chronic stress. He is also the energetic and creative founder and CEO of Trauma Recovery Services. Dave has spent two decades living and working in nine countries providing trauma relief workshops and designing recovery programs for international organizations around the world. He has lived and worked extensively in Israel/Palestine, Sudan, Uganda, Kenya, Yemen, Egypt, and Lebanon. He is fluent in English and Arabic. David is unique in that he holds a solid academic and experiential grounding in psychotherapy and therapeutic body-work. He integrates that with a keen understanding of the intertwining dynamics of religion and ethnic customs. I too used to be one of those people. A lot had to do with me being injured for almost 7 years now. +/- 3 years ago I fell into a black whole since I noticed that no surgery, physiotherapy, podotherapy, chiro or regular therapists could help me. My left knee, left shoulder were still f*cked up and nobody could help me get rid of them. Obsessive web research brought me to TRE, so I tried it out. TRE is one of the golden nuggets of the stress relieving tools I found so far. It helped me during difficult times and I highly recommend it to learn. It made me deload stress and get rid of emotions that got stuck in my fascia. Without a mental connection to the emotion it will just release itself with the needed tremor in form of (biting, laughter, crying or anxious movement).
