How to Send a Fax is brought to you by Quick Business Hacks
In this video I want to show the basics of sending fax. A fax is what's known as a facsimile. Faxes have been around since the late 1960’s. What I want to show is how easy it is to send a standard fax.
During the course of this video I'm going to be showing various aspects of sending the fax. First I'm going to show that you need to have an outlet.
Secondly you will need to have a phone line or landline to be exact. Once you established you have both of these items. You will be on your way to sending a fax.
In this video, we're going to test to make sure we have dialtone. Dial tone is very important. You can test this with the receiver that typically comes with most fax machines.Once you have established that you have dial tone. You now have the ability to send and receive a fax.
The second thing we're going to check for and make sure is that all the information is correct on your fax machine. You just plug the fax machine in your phone jack and make sure that the date and year and time is set up on your fax machine this is going to be important because this is on the header for both sending and receiving faxes
so that you can establish when or where the fax was sent.
We will go over how to insert the paper to be faxed you want to make sure that it doesn't jam. The paper will be inserted in a way that the rollers are going to pick up and pull your intended fax through the machine.
Once that occurs you'll be set up and ready to fax. When pressing the fax button you will hear a dial tone and most importantly listen for the handshake.
The handshake is what connects one fax machine to the other fax machine. Or fax server. So as the handshake goes through.It will advance the fax through the machine and complete the fax.
Once the fax is complete you will see on the reader that it says sent fax or standard fax sent this is an indicator to say that the other side has received your document.At this point you're now done with your fax.
Hopefully this video shows you the essentials of sending a basic fax.

Fax
Fax (short for facsimile), sometimes called telecopying or telefax, is the telephonic transmission of scanned printed material (both text and images), normally to a telephone number connected to a printer or other output device. The original document is scanned with a fax machine (or a telecopier), which processes the contents (text or images) as a single fixed graphic image, converting it into a bitmap, and then transmitting it through the telephone system in the form of audio-frequency tones. The receiving fax machine interprets the tones and reconstructs the image, printing a paper copy. Early systems used direct conversions of image darkness to audio tone in a continuous or analog manner. Since the 1980s, most machines modulate the transmitted audio frequencies using a digital representation of the page which is compressed to quickly transmit areas which are all-white or all-black.

Scottish inventor Alexander Bain worked on chemical mechanical fax type devices and in 1846 was able to reproduce graphic signs in laboratory experiments. He received patent 9745 on May 27, 1843 for his "Electric Printing Telegraph."Frederick Bakewell made several improvements on Bain's design and demonstrated a telefax machine. The Pantelegraph was invented by the Italian physicist Giovanni Caselli. He introduced the first commercial telefax service between Paris and Lyon in 1865, some 11 years before the invention of the telephone.

Fax (TV series)
Fax was a show by the BBC one, shown in the 1980s. It was presented by Bill Oddie, Wendy Leavesley, Debbie Rix and Billy Butler. The series first appear on Tuesday 7 Jan 1986 at 17.35, sharing its slot with Masterteam, Rolf Harris cartoon and sitcoms. Viewers would write in questions for the team to answered in each episode.
Fax third series was moved to a Sunday teatime slot, when Michael Grade moved the Australian soap Neighbours to the early evening.

How to Send a Fax is brought to you by Quick Business Hacks
In this video I want to show the basics of sending fax. A fax is what's known as a facsimile. Faxes have been around since the late 1960’s. What I want to show is how easy it is to send a standard fax.
During the course of this video I'm going to be showing various aspects of sending the fax. First I'm going to show that you need to have an outlet.
Secondly you will need to have a phone line or landline to be exact. Once you established you have both of these items. You will be on your way to sending a fax.
In this video, we're going to test to make sure we have dialtone. Dial tone is very important. You can test this with the receiver that typically comes with most fax machines.Once you have established that you have dial tone. You now have the ability to send and receive a fax.
The second thing we're going to check for and make sure is that all the information is correct on your fax machine. You just plug the fax machine in your phone jack and make sure that the date and year and time is set up on your fax machine this is going to be important because this is on the header for both sending and receiving faxes
so that you can establish when or where the fax was sent.
We will go over how to insert the paper to be faxed you want to make sure that it doesn't jam. The paper will be inserted in a way that the rollers are going to pick up and pull your intended fax through the machine.
Once that occurs you'll be set up and ready to fax. When pressing the fax button you will hear a dial tone and most importantly listen for the handshake.
The handshake is what connects one fax machine to the other fax machine. Or fax server. So as the handshake goes through.It will advance the fax through the machine and complete the fax.
Once the fax is complete you will see on the reader that it says sent fax or standard fax sent this is an indicator to say that the other side has received your document.At this point you're now done with your fax.
Hopefully this video shows you the essentials of sending a basic fax.

The steps to sending a fax are rather simple, you simply load the document with the side you want to fax face-down and the machine will recognize it. Follow the on-screen prompts if you need to send more than one page or adjust the resolution. Then enter the fax number using the keypad and press the 'send fax' key. The machine will start audibly dialing and you will hear quiet tones very similar to a dial-up modem. When a successful connection has been established, the document will be picked up and scanned through the machine. By default, the machine only prints a transmission report if the fax fails or cannot be sent. If you want to see the transmission report regardless, follow the menu prompts or press the copy/reports buttons and select the one you want, 'transmission reports' or 'latest transmission'.

The steps to sending a fax are rather simple, you simply load the document with the side you want to fax face-down and the machine will recognize it. Follow the on-screen prompts if you need to send more than one page or adjust the resolution. Then enter the fax number using the keypad and press the 'send fax' key. The machine will start audibly dialing and you will hear quiet tones very similar to a dial-up modem. When a successful connection has been established, the document will be picked up and scanned through the machine. By default, the machine only prints a transmission report if the fax fails or cannot be sent. If you want to see the transmission report regardless, follow the menu prompts or press the copy/reports buttons and select the one you want, 'transmission reports' or 'latest transmission'.

Fax (short for facsimile), sometimes called telecopying or telefax, is the telephonic transmission of scanned printed material (both text and images), normally to a telephone number connected to a printer or other output device. The original document is scanned with a fax machine (or a telecopier), which processes the contents (text or images) as a single fixed graphic image, converting it into a bitmap, and then transmitting it through the telephone system in the form of audio-frequency tones. The receiving fax machine interprets the tones and reconstructs the image, printing a paper copy. Early systems used direct conversions of image darkness to audio tone in a continuous or analog manner. Since the 1980s, most machines modulate the transmitted audio frequencies using a digital representation of the page which is compressed to quickly transmit areas which are all-white or all-black.

Scottish inventor Alexander Bain worked on chemical mechanical fax type devices and in 1846 was able to reproduce graphic signs in laboratory experiments. He received patent 9745 on May 27, 1843 for his "Electric Printing Telegraph."Frederick Bakewell made several improvements on Bain's design and demonstrated a telefax machine. The Pantelegraph was invented by the Italian physicist Giovanni Caselli. He introduced the first commercial telefax service between Paris and Lyon in 1865, some 11 years before the invention of the telephone.
