Toolroom founder Mark Knight teams up with Mr Roy on Something About U: 90s piano House anthem given a superb modern makeover.
Mark Knight has proven a rare and wonderful breed of musical heavyweight. The second highest-selling Beatport artist of all time, he has releases on a diverse range of labels such as Suara, 1605, Stereo, Saved and of course his own Toolroom.
Originally released in 1995 on Fresh Records, Something About You demonstrates Mark’s ability to take an old school rave tune and rework it for a contemporary dancefloor, slowing the classic house record right down and adding in euphoria-inducing high pass filtering and short chopped vocal samples for texture. Add in those classic clap snares and offbeat hats and you have yourself a big room track that will have ravers’ hands in the air wherever it’s played.
Dropping just in time to catch the Ibiza closing parties, you can expect to hear this all over the White Isle not just this season, but for many more to come.

The tallest building in Dublin city was wired up with two huge 100,000 Euro screens. The director Eoghan Kidney was granted exclusive permission to use the screen in a music video for 'Downpipe'.
The central concept- A structure plays a song with light.
The fully rigged building was launched on 24th August 2009. We were granted permission to use the screens exclusively for the video from midnight of that day. We created a 3m 50sec animation, illustrating the Downpipe track. The animation incorporates abstractions of the tune, lyrics and small sections of digitised live action video. We shot the building from several angles and edit to create a video driven by shapes, colour, wonder & small sections of documentary style footage.
The style was centered around a building that has come alive in harmony with its surroundings. We took advantage of the immediacy & reality of the lights- lots of nice focus pulls, use of depth of field, hand held etc, reflections on the water, reflections on objects to create a unique music video...

Mark Knight
Mark Knight (born c. 1960s) is the editorial cartoonist for the Herald Sun, a daily tabloid in Melbourne, Australia. Knight was also the last editorial cartoonist for one of the Herald Sun's joint predecessor newspapers, the afternoon broadsheet The Herald
He created Leuk the Duck, short for Leukemia, a mascot for Challenge, a cancer foundation to provide a visual impetus for kids with cancer. It has consequently been used in all educational material produced by Challenge.
Childhood
Knight was born and raised in Sydney. He grew up in Lakemba, attended Wiley Park Primary School, then Narwee Boys' High School. He said there hasn't been a time when he didn't love to draw. He started a cadetship in 1980 in the Fairfax art department, filling in the black squares in the crossword grids. He went to East Sydney Technical College and studied life drawing, painting, drawing and etching.
Knight's father taught him to love drawing. When he was a little boy, his father would draw for him. Mark's first cartoon's were of his family and their idiosyncrasies, drawn on Christmas Day or at other family gatherings.

Mark Knight (sound designer)
Mark Knight (also known as TDK and madfiddler) (born 8 January 1973, in Brighton, England) is a British video game music composer and sound designer, Chiptune composer, and electric violinist. He started out writing chiptune and module file music in the Amiga Demoscene, and began his games industry career as a composer in 1992 . He continued until 2000 when he moved to sound design, and since 2014 has a split role as a sound designer and composer.
Biography
Born in England on 8 January 1973, his grandfather started teaching him the violin when he was 6. At 10 years old he was given a Commodore 64 home computer and took an interest in electronic music. Whilst studying in college he began writing music on the Amiga, releasing music within the demoscene. Having been refused a university place to study Music Production in 1992, he was given the opportunity to arrange the Wing Commander soundtrack to the Commodore Amiga home computer which led him to full-time employment with the developer, Mindscape.

Toolroom founder Mark Knight teams up with Mr Roy on Something About U: 90s piano House anthem given a superb modern makeover.
Mark Knight has proven a rare and wonderful breed of musical heavyweight. The second highest-selling Beatport artist of all time, he has releases on a diverse range of labels such as Suara, 1605, Stereo, Saved and of course his own Toolroom.
Originally released in 1995 on Fresh Records, Something About You demonstrates Mark’s ability to take an old school rave tune and rework it for a contemporary dancefloor, slowing the classic house record right down and adding in euphoria-inducing high pass filtering and short chopped vocal samples for texture. Add in those classic clap snares and offbeat hats and you have yourself a big room track that will have ravers’ hands in the air wherever it’s played.
Dropping just in time to catch the Ibiza closing parties, you can expect to hear this all over the White Isle not just this season, but for many more to come.

The tallest building in Dublin city was wired up with two huge 100,000 Euro screens. The director Eoghan Kidney was granted exclusive permission to use the screen in a music video for 'Downpipe'.
The central concept- A structure plays a song with light.
The fully rigged building was launched on 24th August 2009. We were granted permission to use the screens exclusively for the video from midnight of that day. We created a 3m 50sec animation, illustrating the Downpipe track. The animation incorporates abstractions of the tune, lyrics and small sections of digitised live action video. We shot the building from several angles and edit to create a video driven by shapes, colour, wonder & small sections of documentary style footage.
The style was centered around a building that has come alive in harmony with its surroundings. We took advantage of the immediacy & reality of the lights- lots of nice focus pulls, use of depth of field, hand held etc, reflections on the water, reflections on objects to create a unique music video...

Mark Knight has proven a rare and wonderful breed of musical heavyweight. The second highest-selling Beatport artist of all time, he has releases on a diverse range of labels such as Suara, 1605, Stereo, Saved and of course his own Toolroom.
Originally released in 1995 on Fresh Records, Something About You demonstrates Mark’s ability to take an old school rave tune and rework it for a contemporary dancefloor, slowing the classic house record right down and adding in euphoria-inducing high pass filtering and short chopped vocal samples for texture. The tallest building in Dublin city was wired up with two huge 100,000 Euro screens. The director Eoghan Kidney was granted exclusive permission to use the screen in a music video for 'Downpipe'.
The central concept- A structure plays a song with light.
The fully rigged building was launched on 24th August 2009. We were granted permission to use the screens exclusively for the video from midnight of that day. We created a 3m 50sec animation, illustrating the Downpipe track. The animation incorporates abstractions of the tune, lyrics and small sections of digitised live action video. We shot the building from several angles and edit to create a video driven by shapes, colour, wonder & small sections of documentary style footage.
The style was centered around a building that has come alive in harmony with its surroundings. We took advantage of the immediacy & reality of the lights- lots of nice focus pulls, use of depth of field, hand held etc, reflections on the water, reflections on objects to create a unique music video...

Mark Knight
Mark Knight (born c. 1960s) is the editorial cartoonist for the Herald Sun, a daily tabloid in Melbourne, Australia. Knight was also the last editorial cartoonist for one of the Herald Sun's joint predecessor newspapers, the afternoon broadsheet The Herald
He created Leuk the Duck, short for Leukemia, a mascot for Challenge, a cancer foundation to provide a visual impetus for kids with cancer. It has consequently been used in all educational material produced by Challenge.
Childhood
Knight was born and raised in Sydney. He grew up in Lakemba, attended Wiley Park Primary School, then Narwee Boys' High School. He said there hasn't been a time when he didn't love to draw. He started a cadetship in 1980 in the Fairfax art department, filling in the black squares in the crossword grids. He went to East Sydney Technical College and studied life drawing, painting, drawing and etching.
Knight's father taught him to love drawing. When he was a little boy, his father would draw for him. Mark's first cartoon's were of his family and their idiosyncrasies, drawn on Christmas Day or at other family gatherings.
