Madison County files drug charges against 14

EDWARDSVILLE — A Granite City woman faces multiple felony charges.

Amy J. Cox, 36, of Granite City, was charged Sept. 8 with three counts of unlawful delivery of methamphetamine and one count of unlawful use of property/methamphetamine, all Class 2 felonies.

The case was presented by the Granite City Police Department.

According to court documents, on June 9 and 16, and July 12, Cox allegedly delivered less than five grams of methamphetamine to confidential informants.

The unlawful use of property charge stems from allowing her home to be used to promote the other crimes charged.

Bail was set at $150,000.

Other drug-related felony charges filed Sept. 8 by the Madison County State’s Attorney’s Office include:

• Christopher L. Price, 41, of Granite City, was charged with unlawful delivery of methamphetamine, a Class 2 felony. The case was presented by the Granite City Police Department. On Aug. 12 Price allegedly delivered less than five grams of methamphetamine to a confidential informant. Bail was set at $50,000.

• Stephanie M. Patterson, 37, of Alton, was charged with unlawful possession of methamphetamine, a Class 2 felony. The case was presented by the Alton Police Department. On May 20 Patterson allegedly was found to be in possession of more than five grams of methamphetamine. Bail was set at $40,000.

• John M. Moore, 51, of Red Bud, was charged with unlawful possession of methamphetamine, a Class 3 felony. The case was presented by the Pontoon Beach Police Department. On July 21 Moore allegedly was found to be in possession of less than five grams of methamphetamine. Bail was set at $15,000.

• Colin A. Banigan, 33, of the 1200 bloc of E. Seventh Street, Alton, was charged with unlawful possession of methamphetamine, a Class 3 felony. The case was presented by the Alton Police Department. On April 24 Banigan allegedly was found to be in possession of less than five grams of methamphetamine. No bail was noted.

• Joshua K. Morris, 37, of Alton, was charged with unlawful possession of methamphetamine, a Class 3 felony. The case was presented by the Alton Police Department. On April 28 Morris allegedly was found to be in possession of less than five grams of methamphetamine. Bail was set at $25,000.

• Jamie R. Staggs, 44, of Granite City, was charged with unlawful possession of methamphetamine, a Class 3 felony. The case was presented by the Collinsville Police Department. On June 2 Staggs allegedly was found to be in possession of less than five grams of methamphetamine. Bail was set at $15,000.

• Marissa A. Harvey, 27, of the 3100 block of W. Chain of Rocks Road, Granite City, was charged with unlawful possession of methamphetamine, a Class 3 felony. The case was presented by the Pontoon Beach Police Department. On Jan. 26 Harvey allegedly was found to be in possession of less than five grams of methamphetamine. Bail was set at $15,000.

• Ronald C. Patterson, 55, of Wood River, was charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance, a Class 4 felony. The case was presented by the Illinois State Police. On May 13 Patterson allegedly was found to be in possession of less than 15 grams of cocaine. Bail was set at $15,000.

• Matthew J. Terpening, 39, of Godfrey, was charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance, a Class 4 felony. The case was presented by the Alton Police Department. On June 23 Terpening allegedly was found to be in possession of less than 15 grams of fentanyl. Bail was set at $15,000.

• Sara A. Stiles, 31, of the 17300 block of Little Piasa Road, Dow, was charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance, a Class 4 felony. The case was presented by the Alton Police Department. On Jan. 13 Stiles allegedly was found to be in possession of less than 15 grams of codeine. Bail was set at $15,000.

• James R. Jablonski Jr., 39, of the 400 block of S. Aurora Street, Collinsville, was charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance, a Class 4 felony. The case was presented by the Collinsville Police Department. On May 19 Jablonski allegedly was found to be in possession of less than 15 grams of fentanyl. Bail was set at $15,000.

• Courtney L. Shelby, 23, of Bethalto, was charged with unlawful possession of cannabis with intent to deliver, a Class 3 felony. The case was presented by the Glen Carbon Police Department. On July 14 Shelby allegedly was found to be in possession of more than 30 grams of cannabis with intent to deliver. Bail was set at $15,000.

• Blake A. Sakosko, 22, of Belleville, was charged with unlawful possession of cannabis (more than 100 grams), a Class 4 felony. The case was presented by the Collinsville Police Department. On June 13 Sakosko allegedly was found to be in possession of more than 100 grams of cannabis. Bail was set at $15,000.
