The U.S. Navy and Marine Corps have been refining those concepts for years now. They include so-called distributed maritime operations, operating from expeditionary marine bases on remote islands, and operating in contested littoral spaces. In sum, the concepts test how the navy envisions it would have to fight against China in East Asia, where operating environments transition from the deep “blue water” of the Western Pacific to the shallow, archipelagic regions in the first island chain and South China Sea. LSE 2021 is the first time the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps have tried to put all these pieces together into warfighting scenarios with actual units.
Satellite photos expose a showdown brewing in the South China Sea. Against all assurances, Beijing has armed its artificial island fortresses with aircraft and warships. Now the world is pushing back.
Beijing said it guaranteed free and open access to the South China Sea’s shipping lanes. Beijing said it would never militarise the region. But that’s all changed.
Between May and June, satellite photos found Chinese Y-8Q and KQ-200 anti-submarine and KJ-500 radar command aircraft along with anti-submarine and troop-carrying helicopters had become a permanent feature on the artificial Subi and Mischief Reef island fortresses.

Here's an inside look at the United States Army's intense 22-week basic training known as OSUT, which stands for One Station Unit Training. Senior Video Correspondent Graham Flanagan spent four days at the Army's Maneuver Center of Excellence located inside the Fort Benning military installation near Columbus, Georgia, where he observed different companies at various stages of training.
After a processing period that takes one to two weeks, recruits experience what's known as a "shark attack," when drill sergeants create a high-stress environment through a series of rapid-fire instructions and commands. Once the intensity subsides and training begins, the dynamic between the drill sergeants and the recruits evolves into one found between a teacher and students in a classroom.
Despite rainy conditions that rarely let up during filming, we saw various dynamic aspects of training, such as marksmanship, tear gas exposure, and MOUT, which stands for military operations in urban terrain.
In the video, we incorrectly refer to duffle bags as rucksacks. Insider regrets the error.

The Humvee has been part of the Pentagon’s light tactical wheeled vehicle (LTV) fleet for more than three decades. With the advent of modern technological sophistication, some question Humvee’s prowess when it comes to mobility and personnel protection in modern military warfare.
For wars that require agility and reliability especially in European turfs, Humvee is the better option. But JLTVs offer better armor protection and safety to the soldiers on board. At the end of the day, it really depends on the strategy at play and oftentimes you can’t have it both ways.

This video covers a project that he US navy have invested over $5 million into so they can undertake surveillance 24 hours a day, 7 days the weeks. The aim is to do this more cheaply and conveniently that the widely used MQ-4C. For this, they plan to use a solar powered airplane. This seems like a new project by the Spanish-US firm Sky dweller Aero, however, the development for this project has been underway for many more years under the name Solar Impulse.

The United States Armed Forces are the federal military forces of the United States. They consist of the Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force, and Coast Guard. The President of the United States is the military's overall head, and helps form military policy with the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD), a federal executive department, acting as the principal organ by which military policy is carried out.
From the time of its inception, the military played a decisive role in the history of the United States. A sense of national unity and identity was forged as a result of victory in the First Barbary War and the Second Barbary War. Even so, the Founders were suspicious of a permanent military force. It played an important role in the American Civil War, where leading generals on both sides were picked from members of the United States military. Not until the outbreak of World War II did a large standing army become officially established. The National Security Act of 1947, adopted following World War II and during the Cold War's onset, created the modern U.S. military framework; the Act merged previously Cabinet-level Department of War and the Department of the Navy into the National Military Establishment (renamed the Department of Defense in 1949), headed by the Secretary of Defense; and created the Department of the Air Force and National Security Council.

They include so-called distributed maritime operations, operating from expeditionary marine bases on remote islands, and operating in contested littoral spaces. In sum, the concepts test how the navy envisions it would have to fight against China in East Asia, where operating environments transition from the deep “blue water” of the Western Pacific to the shallow, archipelagic regions in the first island chain and South China Sea. LSE 2021 is the first time the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps have tried to put all these pieces together into warfighting scenarios with actual units.
Satellite photos expose a showdown brewing in the South China Sea. Against all assurances, Beijing has armed its artificial island fortresses with aircraft and warships. Now the world is pushing back.
Beijing said it guaranteed free and open access to the South China Sea’s shipping lanes. Beijing said it would never militarise the region. But that’s all changed.
Between May and June, satellite photos found Chinese Y-8Q and KQ-200 anti-submarine and KJ-500 radar command aircraft along with anti-submarine and troop-carrying helicopters had become a permanent feature on the artificial Subi and Mischief Reef island fortresses.

Here's an inside look at the United States Army's intense 22-week basic training known as OSUT, which stands for One Station Unit Training. Senior Video Correspondent Graham Flanagan spent four days at the Army's Maneuver Center of Excellence located inside the Fort Benning military installation near Columbus, Georgia, where he observed different companies at various stages of training.
After a processing period that takes one to two weeks, recruits experience what's known as a "shark attack," when drill sergeants create a high-stress environment through a series of rapid-fire instructions and commands. Once the intensity subsides and training begins, the dynamic between the drill sergeants and the recruits evolves into one found between a teacher and students in a classroom.
Despite rainy conditions that rarely let up during filming, we saw various dynamic aspects of training, such as marksmanship, tear gas exposure, and MOUT, which stands for military operations in urban terrain.
In the video, we incorrectly refer to duffle bags as rucksacks. Insider regrets the error.

This seems like a new project by the Spanish-US firm Sky dweller Aero, however, the development for this project has been underway for many more years under the name Solar Impulse.

The U.S. Navy and Marine Corps have been refining those concepts for years now. They include so-called distributed maritime operations, operating from expeditionary marine bases on remote islands, and operating in contested littoral spaces. In sum, the concepts test how the navy envisions it would have to fight against China in East Asia, where operating environments transition from the deep “blue water” of the Western Pacific to the shallow, archipelagic regions in the first island chain and South China Sea. LSE 2021 is the first time the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps have tried to put all these pieces together into warfighting scenarios with actual units.
Satellite photos expose a showdown brewing in the South China Sea. Against all assurances, Beijing has armed its artificial island fortresses with aircraft and warships. Now the world is pushing back.
Beijing said it guaranteed free and open access to the South China Sea’s shipping lanes. Beijing said it would never militarise the region. But that’s all changed.
Between May and June, satellite photos found Chinese Y-8Q and KQ-200 anti-submarine and KJ-500 radar command aircraft along with anti-submarine and troop-carrying helicopters had become a permanent feature on the artificial Subi and Mischief Reef island fortresses.

Here's an inside look at the United States Army's intense 22-week basic training known as OSUT, which stands for One Station Unit Training. Senior Video Correspondent Graham Flanagan spent four days at the Army's Maneuver Center of Excellence located inside the Fort Benning military installation near Columbus, Georgia, where he observed different companies at various stages of training.
After a processing period that takes one to two weeks, recruits experience what's known as a "shark attack," when drill sergeants create a high-stress environment through a series of rapid-fire instructions and commands. Once the intensity subsides and training begins, the dynamic between the drill sergeants and the recruits evolves into one found between a teacher and students in a classroom.
Despite rainy conditions that rarely let up during filming, we saw various dynamic aspects of training, such as marksmanship, tear gas exposure, and MOUT, which stands for military operations in urban terrain.
In the video, we incorrectly refer to duffle bags as rucksacks. Insider regrets the error.

For wars that require agility and reliability especially in European turfs, Humvee is the better option. But JLTVs offer better armor protection and safety to the soldiers on board. At the end of the day, it really depends on the strategy at play and oftentimes you can’t have it both ways.

This video covers a project that he US navy have invested over $5 million into so they can undertake surveillance 24 hours a day, 7 days the weeks. The aim is to do this more cheaply and conveniently that the widely used MQ-4C. For this, they plan to use a solar powered airplane. This seems like a new project by the Spanish-US firm Sky dweller Aero, however, the development for this project has been underway for many more years under the name Solar Impulse.

United States Armed Forces
The United States Armed Forces are the federal military forces of the United States. They consist of the Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force, and Coast Guard. The President of the United States is the military's overall head, and helps form military policy with the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD), a federal executive department, acting as the principal organ by which military policy is carried out.
From the time of its inception, the military played a decisive role in the history of the United States. A sense of national unity and identity was forged as a result of victory in the First Barbary War and the Second Barbary War. Even so, the Founders were suspicious of a permanent military force. It played an important role in the American Civil War, where leading generals on both sides were picked from members of the United States military. Not until the outbreak of World War II did a large standing army become officially established. The National Security Act of 1947, adopted following World War II and during the Cold War's onset, created the modern U.S. military framework; the Act merged previously Cabinet-level Department of War and the Department of the Navy into the National Military Establishment (renamed the Department of Defense in 1949), headed by the Secretary of Defense; and created the Department of the Air Force and National Security Council.
