"The Guest" (French: L'Hôte) is a short story by the French writer Albert Camus. It was first published in 1957 as part of a collection entitled Exile and the Kingdom (L'exil et le royaume). The French title "L'Hôte" translates into both "the guest" and "the host" which ties back to the relationship between the main characters of the story. Camus employs this short tale to reflect upon issues raised by the political situation in French North Africa. In particular, he explores the problem of refusing to take sides in the colonial conflict in Algeria, something that mirrors Camus' own non-aligned stance which he had set out in his Nobel Prize acceptance speech.
The Piper (Hangul: 손님; RR: Sonnim; lit. The Guest) is a 2015 South Korean period mystery film inspired by the Pied Piper of Hamelin legend. It is written and directed by Kim Gwang-tae, in his directorial debut.

After the loss of their eldest son, Caleb, to the war in Afghanistan, the Peterson family (the husband, wife and their children Luke and Anna) are visited by David Collins. David claims to be a former soldier and Caleb's best friend, and he is there to help Caleb take care of the family. David is polite, warm and friendly toward the family, and Mrs. Peterson offers to let him stay as long as he needs to.
David hears of Mr. Peterson's troubles at work and sees Luke return home with a black eye. With Luke's help, he follows the students that attacked Luke to a bar, humiliates them in a fight, and uses his knowledge of the law to convince the bartender not to tell anyone. David then goes to a party with a reluctant Anna, at which he saves her friend Kristen from her ex-boyfriend, also inquiring about where to buy guns from Anna's friend Craig. On their way home, Anna offers to make David a mix CD.

There's a ghost inside my attic stealing all the air.
Uninvited, you're just passing here and everywhere.
Thoughts of you in high rotation suffocating me.
Like a thief in my hotel room breaking in and entering.
We checked out of this place, been vacant so long.
Why won't the past just leave me alone?
Get out of my head, there's just no more room.
How could you forget, there's no me and you?
Won't give anymore, nothing's inside.
There's no me and you.
How could you forget?
Feeding anger and my addiction luring all my energy.
In vagrant space with this attraction sucking all the air I breathe.
I gave into love and cheated my faith.
I gave you my anger, my pain, and my hate.
'Cause your my distraction with your apathy.
Now I won't give you my anything.
Get out of my head, there's just no more room.
How could you forget, there's no me and you?
Won't give anymore, nothing's inside.
There's no me and you.
How could you forget?
How could you forget?
I don't owe you anything.
Wash your hand clean.
Get out of my head, there's just no more room.
How could you forget, there's no me and you?
Won't give anymore, nothing's inside.
There's no me and you.
How could you forget?
Get out of my head, there's just no more room.
