My definition of Mothering as an act of Resistance means to redesign ableist visual culture. The sole intention is to empower and activate change encouraging communities to engage in conversations about acceptance, rooted in how Black Neurodivergent children are valued and seen.

So so good. This article on "reflexivity theater" very gently forces those of us who come to design with critical and activist perspectives to question the performativity of our approach. The journaling prompts provide very helpful guidance.

-say no when someone asks for your community's data
-not make changes to your map after someone offers (unsolicited) advice

While I typically don't pay attention to such metrics, I noticed that I lost followers after re-tweeting this.
So a new goal for 2022: post more "edgy" content and invite folks to #HitThatUnfollowButton.
Sounds counter intuitive in the age of follower count =influence but...

Everyone shows up presenting as much or little or many or few gender(s) as we feel inspired and then have an epic photo shoot in many different configurations. So what I’m saying is, I won’t need to buy new clothes. 😉
