    The idea that trans women need to pressure anyone into sex is so laughably absurd. The desire for trans bodies is insatiable. The problem is that it’s not public. It’s on porn and escort sites, the DM’s of every trans woman, in low whispers in bars and on public transportation.

    And it gets worse: the entire piece appears to be based on a fake set of tweets posted a year ago by an anti-trans activist. A real reporter would notice this. A propagandist doesn’t care.

    Interesting to note that ’s article insinuating trans people are potential rapists, not only relies on old tweets from 2020, but that the tweet was in response to an image known to be a ‘false flag’ campaign posted by ‘gender critical’ transphobes themselves!

    While the BBC put an anti trans piece based on internet gossip on their national front page as a feature, this story of an attack on a trans woman by a man she met on a dating site was 'local news'.

    They run this hateful bullshit in a major news outlet and then when we share our actual experiences they say we’re unprofessional perverts oversharing. I am tired of this double standard. I am tired of this fake portrait of my life being used to scare people into submission.

    I know most of y'all don't want to listen to 100 podcast eps about gender (weird but OK), but consider listening to this one. We do our best to explain w/o dangerously oversimplifying. We also have a transcript with more resources. Please share ✨

    Today, for our 101st episode, we're releasing a new version of that Gender 101 episode. Honestly, it bears little resemblance to that first ep. We get way more into the weeds about whether "biological sex" is real. We say "colonialism" a lot. Etc.

    It feels important to remember that sex has only been on US passports since 1977 (as a response to the rise of “androgyny”). Another system is not only possible, but has a lot more history behind it than the current M/F designations

    I was surprised to get asked, on radio, why we should even keep gender markers on identification documents. I replied that, indeed, many in trans communities have been asking for them to be removed altogether—that they’re at best useless, at worst harmful.
