    The Friday happy dance. When leases are prepared and folks can move out of a car and off the street into housing. We get to see the smiles, hear the relief in their voices. We know that many other people despair at the lack of housing. So we won't dance for long.

    Why are so many city councillors asking staff about the real estate department’s plan for False Creek South as if it’s a fait accomplit? It’s their job to push for the housing we need, not to rubber stamp real estate’s asset management plan.

    How are these still appearing in rental properties? A two ring hob/oven combo. Minimum Standards Legislation requires a 4 ring hob. What are the Councils doing? Both for rent on Daft today.

    This shows where the real lack of housing "supply" is. Since I've been alive, we have not really invested in affordable, cooperative, or alternative housing models. Meanwhile, what was built before is falling apart, and unsupported.
