Eigentlich ist alles wie immer: Die Presse zerreißt sich ihr Maul über den sensationellen Fund eines frei verkäuflichen Luftgewehrs aka “Langwaffe”, bisher “unentdeckte Räume” und jetzt auch noch einen “meterlangen Tunnel”. Von allen Seiten werden Konsequenzen gefordert und die Faschist*innen der AfD bemühen neuerdings den Vergleich mit El Chapo Guzman und seiner spektakulären Flucht durch einen Tunnel aus dem Gefängnis und den alten Vergleich mit dem Vietcong. So gut so uninteressant, für den Verkauf weiterer Schlagzeilen oder die Vorbereitung weiterer Aktionen von staatlicher oder privater Seite gegen die Rigaer94 aber offensichtlich geeignet.

Aber was ist wirklich passiert, seitdem die Bullen am 6. Oktober erneut in unser Haus eingebrochen sind und viel wichtiger, was passierte dann?

Unter strengster Geheimhaltung wurde einem Antrag des angeblichen Eigentümers vom 30.06.2021 – mithilfe des ASOG nachgekommen, da unsere Türen sich sonst nicht für windige, noch nicht einmal rechtlich legitimierte Vertreter einer Briefkastenfirma einfach so öffnen. Mit dem Ziel festzustellen wer denn nun wirklich hier wohne, d.h. Personen einzelnen Wohnungen oder Räumen zuzuordnen, wurden am Mittwoch 26 Personen in unserem Haus festgestellt. Natürlich in der Hoffnung nun Räumungsklagen gegen besagte Personen zu bemühen, die über das Auffinden von Personalausweisen oder anderen Dokumenten in verschiedenen Räumen des Hauses, als Bewohner*innen und Verantwortliche der Wohnungen gelten sollen.

Trotz eines noch am selben Tag von unseren Anwält*innen eingereichten Eilantrags, mit dem unter anderem eine “einstweilige Verfügung” gegen die Weitergabe und Nutzung der erhobenen Daten erwirkt werden sollte, wurden die aufgenommenen Personalien direkt an die sogenannte Eigentümerin, also die “Anwälte” Bernau und v.Aretin sowie ihren inkompetenten Schergen Thorsten Luschnat weitergegeben. Dass diese Daten sicher nicht nur bei letztgenannten verbleiben, sondern möglicherweise auch in den Händen von Faschist*innen landen, ist eine wahrscheinliche Konsequenz. Diese Zusammenarbeit wurde bereits in der Vergangenheit eindrücklich bewiesen, sei es bei den Halle-Leaks 2016, bei denen Daten der bei einer Durchsuchung der Rigaer94 2016 festgestellten Personen auf einem Naziblog auftauchten, oder im Falle der Drohbriefe aus dem Polizeicomputer im Winter 2017.

Über die Bullen gelangten auch einige Fotos an die Presse, wie die Bilder des angeblich “meterlangen Tunnels”, die neben der Springer Presse auch der “Jungen Freiheit” zugespielt wurden. Diese konnte sich nicht nur über Infos direkt aus dem Staatsapparat freuen, sondern auch den inkompetentesten Anwalt höchstpersönlich, Markus Bernau, für ein Interview gewinnen. Dass dieser in seiner Rolle als williger Gehilfe des Kapitals die Seite der Barrikade schon seit langem gewählt hat soll nicht darüber hinwegtäuschen, dass er – in seiner Zusammenarbeit mit der Nazizeitung der “Jungen Freiheit – eine weitere Grenze überschritten hat.

Nicht nur mit der direkten Weitergabe der Daten haben sich die Bullen einmal mehr über die ihnen gesetzten Grenzen hinweggesetzt. Sei es aus genereller Inkompetenz oder auch als Teil der politischen Agenda des Staatsapparats, haben sie nicht nur wiederholt stellvertretend für eine angebliche “Hausverwaltung” agiert, sondern sich auch über den gerichtlich angeordneten Rahmen der Razzia gestellt, indem sie mehr oder weniger wahllos Räumlichkeiten durchsucht und eine – bisher unklar gebliebene Zahl – an Gegenständen beschlagnahmt haben. Dabei durchleuchteten sie auch den Keller und das Dachgeschoss oder wühlten in WG-Ordnern und persönlichen Dokumenten. Was offizielle Dokumente oder Ausweise, an welchen Orten auch immer, über die Bewohnung der Räumlichkeiten aussagen soll, bezweifelt das Gericht sogar selbst im ausgehändigten Durchsuchungswisch: “[…] dass die geplanten Identitätsfeststellungen letztlich möglicherweise nicht zuverlässig ergeben, wer tatsächlich in der Wohnung wohnt […] oder wer sich dort womöglich nur besuchsweise aufhält”.

In ihrer Verzweiflung, nach den gescheiterten Bemühungen unser Haus im Juni diesen Jahres dem Erdboden gleichzumachen, ist dies nun ein weiterer Versuch, um doch noch irgendwie einen Fuß in unsere Haustür zu bekommen und die Rigaer94 räumen zu können.

Es sei ihnen versichert, dass dies nicht einfach werden und unser Widerstand ihnen sicher sein wird.

Die laufende Räumungsklage gegen die Kadterschmiede soll am 2. Dezember 2021 verhandelt werden.

Heute früh, am 06.10.2021 um 7:00 Uhr, stürmten die Berliner Bullen unsere politische Struktur und unseren Lebensraum, die Rigaer94; bewaffnet, aber mit den Zeichen unseres Widerstandes vom 17. Juli auf ihren schmutzigen Uniformen und Schildern. Wieder einmal erfüllen die Diener*innen des Staates ihre Befehle, dem Kapital zu gehorchen. So dient der Staat der Aufrechterhaltung der kapitalistischen Ordnung mit dem Ziel, noch mehr Profit aus den Menschen und ihrem Wohnraum zu quetschen und ihre Macht über jegliches Leben auszudehnen. Mit dem Ziel, jedes Individuum, welches nicht in ihre Pläne einer kapitalistischen, rassistischen und patriarchalen Gesellschaft passt, und jede politische Idee, die sich gegen dieses System stellt, zu unterdrücken. Es ist klar, dass die Berliner Bullen weiterhin mit der dubiosen Briefkastenfirma Lafone Investments Ltd. zusammenarbeiten, um die Befehle, die Rigaer94 loszuwerden und die Gentrifizierung im Friedrichshainer Nordkiez voranzutreiben, durchzusetzen – nachdem sie sich im Juni diesen Jahres erfolglos zurückziehen mussten.

Sie drangen in unseren Raum, das Gebäude, ein, indem sie ein Fenster im 1. Stock des Seitenflügels einhauten. Wieder einmal wurden unsere Türen zerstört. In einer verbarrikadierten Wohnung im 4.Stock des Vorderhauses blieb ihnen nicht anderes übrig, als den Putz abzuschlagen und die komplette Tür rauszureißen. Mit sich brachten sie den lächerlichen Wisch aka “Dursuchungsbeschluss”, laut dem alle Menschen, die sich zu diesem Zeitpunkt im Haus aufhielten, identifiziert werden sollten. Zusätzlich wurden mal wieder Zeichnungen von Grundrissen gemacht und nach baulichen Veränderungen gesucht. Der Beschluss basiert auf ASOG (Allgemeines Sicherheits- und Ordnungsgesetz). Dieses Gesetz macht es den Schweinen seit Jahren einfacher, politische Strukturen und Individuen zu razzen und zu schikanieren wann immer es ihnen passt. Laut dem Beschluss ist das Ziel der Durchsuchung die Vorbereitung von Räumungsklagen gegen alle besetzten Räume oder im Hinterhaus gemietete Wohnungen.

Jedoch gibt es keinen Zweifel, dass die Dursuchung angesetzt ist, um die rebellischen Strukturen eine Woche vor der Räumung des Köpi Wagenplatz zu schwächen. Rebellische Strukturen, die zusammen stehen und und sich gegen Staat und Kapital und die voranschreitende Gentrifizierung in unseren Kiezen wehren. Wir kennen es noch von 2020: wenige Monate vor der Räumung der Liebig34 razzten und belagerten die Schweine die Rigaer94 für mehrere Wochen. Ziel dieser Taktik ist es, uns zu zerfleischen und zu isolieren, unseren Widerstand und unsere Solidarität zueinander zu brechen.

Wir lassen uns nicht einschüchtern und wir werden nicht aufhören miteinander und füreinander zu kämpfen: egal ob Tag-X, davor oder danach. Wir stehen hinter der politischen, sozialen und emotionalen Entscheidung unsere Räume und Ideen zu verteidigen. Wir bleiben dabei, uns durch selbst-organisierte Orte und anti-hierarchische Beziehungen in unseren Strukturen, unseren Kiezen und unseren Straßen zu organisieren und zu unterstützen.

Gestern wurden alle Arbeiter*innen der Gorillaz die im Streik waren gefeuert und heute sind sie auf der Straße. Wir stehen hinter den Arbeiter*innen die gegen den Kapitalismus und die Macht kämpfen. Es handelt sich um einen Tag-X wenn unsere Strukturen und Ideen angegriffen werden, aber es interessiert uns nicht ob es eine Durchsuchung in der Rigaer 94 ist oder der Kampf der Arbeiter*innen der Gorillaz, die gestern gefeuert wurden. Zusammen kämpfen wir gegen Kapitalismus und jegliche Macht. Lasst uns heute am 6. Oktober auf die Straße gehen, um 13:00 Uhr Schönhauser Allee 180.

Wir rufen dazu auf die Tradition der offenen Treffen in Bezug zu Angriffen auf unsere Strukturen widerzubeleben und deshalb, heute um 18:00 Uhr zum Bethanien, New Yorck zu kommen.

Außerdem werden wir heute Abend die Türen der Ka(d)terschmiede um 20:00 Uhr öffnen, um zusammenzukommen und uns gegenseitig upzudaten.

Wir kämpfen wie geplant jeden Tag weiter, besonders in den nächsten Tagen des Kampfes um den Köpiplatz und allen anderen bedrohten Projekten und Ideen.

(Rigaer94) First statement on the raid of 6^th of October, 2021

The Berlin cops, today, 06.10.2021 at 7am, wearing their dirty trash-bag uniforms and carrying shields full of color from the resistance on 17^th of July and armed, raided our political structure and living space, Rigaer94. Once again, as everyday, the servants of the state fulfill their commands and obey to the capital. The state guarantees the order of the capitalist system, so to squeeze even more profit from people and their living spaces, gain power over every life, destroy any political idea that fights against them and oppress any individual who does not fit to their plans in this capitalistic, patriarchal and racist society. It is clear that the Berlin cops still work with Lafone Investments Ltd. and are their mercenaries, who execute orders of the plan to get rid of Rigaer94 and so to force the gentrification process of Nordkiez, Friedrichshain – after they lost their last attack on us in June this year.

They entered our political structure and house today morning by smashing windows of the side house on 1^st floor, destroying once again our doors and even removing the entire wall of one of the flat-doors which was barricaded on the 4^th floor front house. They were carrying their useless papers from the court with warrants to identify everyone who is in the house at the moment of entering. They also made drawings of floor plan to check for construction changes. The warrant is based on ASOG. This law makes it easy for the cops to raid and repress political structures and individuals when they want. Officially the aim of the raid is to prepare for eviction trials of all the flats of the house. However, there is no doubt, that the raid is used to weaken our structures and the movement who fights against state and capital, capitalism and gentrification, one week before the eviction of Köpi Wagenplatz (15^th October). It is a common tactic which tries to attack and isolate structures and individuals in solidarity with threatened projects, shortly before an announced-planned attack. As it also happened with the eviction of our neighbours L34 last year, when our structure got raided and sieged for some days on July 2020, few months before the Tag-X.

We do not get demotivated, we will not stop supporting each other, we will fight: before, during and after any Tag-X and also without an announced date of an attack coming from state and capital. We stand our political, social and emotional decisions to defend our territories and ideas and be supportive with each other through self-organization and horizontal procedures from inside our structures and in our neighborhoods and streets.

Yesterday all the Gorillaz workers who were on strike got fired and today there are in the streets. We support the workers who fight against capitalism and power. There is a Tag-X when our structures and ideas get attacked, for that it does not matter for us if its a raid in Rigaer94 or if its the fight of the workers who got fired yesterday from Gorillaz company. United we fight against capitalism and power. Let’s take the streets today 06.10., 13:00starting at Schönhauser Allee 180.

Morgen, am 8. September, einige Tage vor den Wahlen, beginnt der Auftakt im Prozess gegen die vier Angeklagten im 129-Verfahren um Lina, vor dem Oberlandesgericht Dresden. In dieser ersten Phase des Schauspiels wird vier Menschen die Gründung einer kriminellen Vereinigung (129) sowie militante Aktionen gegen Nazis vorgeworfen.
Eine von ihnen, Lina sitzt seit letztem Jahr November bereits in U-Haft. In den Medien wird sie als ruhige Teenagerin, welche von ihrem Freund radikalisiert wurde, beschrieben und es werden sexistische Äußerungen über ihr Aussehen getroffen. Somit zeigt sich die  propagandistische mainstream Presse mal wieder von ihrer besten Seite, in dem sie eine ekelhaft, sexistische Geschichte über Lina erzählen und zusätzlich auch noch Informationen an Nazistrukturen weitergibt, was wieder einmal sehr schön die perfekte Kollaboration von Presse, Nazis und Bullen zeigt. Das lässt sich vor allem bei dem Neonazi-Magazin “Compact” sehen. In dem Magazin wurden des öfteren vertraute Inhalte aus den Akten veröffentlicht, was eine Zusammenarbeit von Justiz und Nazis wiedereinmal deutlich sichtbar macht und auf keine Weise beschönigt werden kann.

Jegliche antagonistische Aktivität, vor allem offensive und sichtbare Aktionen rufen die staatliche Repression auf den Plan. Der deutsche Staat versucht aus einem losen Zusammenhang von Menschen eine Organisation zu kreieren, um diese mit hohen Strafen belegen zu können, diesmal trifft es militanten Antifaschismus. Das Vorführen der Extremismustheorie versucht militante Aktionen gegen Nazis zu delegitimieren und die bürgerliche Mitte zu stärken. In Deutschland, wo Nazis sich immer noch aktiv organisieren, in dem sie Terroreinheiten gründen, Immigranten angreifen, wo  Halle und Hanau keine Einzelfälle sind und sich einige von ihnen aktiv auf einen Umsturz der bürgerlichen Gesellschaft vorbereiten, wo Bullen immer in Nazistrukturen involviert sind und racial profiling verstärken, ist atifaschistische Militanz immer eine Antwort auf diese unterdrückenden Verhältnisse.

Für uns kann Faschismus nicht mit Gesetzen oder auf institutionellen Wegen bekämpft werden. Wir wollen nicht zu einer weniger faschistischen, rassistischen Demokratie, wir werden Nazis nicht “erziehen/bilden”, wir wollen die gesamten bestehenden Verhältnisse überwinden und in diesem Kampf spielt Antifaschismus noch immer eine große Rolle. Ihnen einen kleinen Teil der Gewalt zurückzugeben welche sie verbreiten ist ein Weg unserer Selbstverteidigung und politischen Analyse: Wir tolerieren kein antisoziales Verhalten, welches auf Diskriminierung und Unterdrückung basiert. Militanter Antifaschismus ist für uns ein Angriff auf Hierarchie, Unterdrückung und Dominanz. Dies ist untrennbar von unserem Verständnis einer emanzipierten Gesellschaft, befreit von Kapitalismus, Patriarchat und Rassismus. Wir nehmen militanten Antifaschismus nicht als Werkzeug um mehr Macht zu bekommen war, ganz im Gegenteil, wir nutzen diesen um sie zu zerschlagen. In dem wir diesen Weg der Aktion unterstützen, so unterstützen wir auch Selbstorganiesierung und Selbstverteidigung, Gleichstellung und Freiheit, Feminismus und Offensivität.

Wer auch immer angeklagt sein wird dafür, wir werden in Solidarität hinter ihnen stehen. Abseits von persönlichen Beziehungen und politischen Affinitäten stehen wir neben den Gefährt*innen welche von staatlicher Repression betroffen sind. In jedem Moment, da der Staat versucht Menschen zu trennen, zu isolieren und auf sie abzuzielen, sollten wir Verbindungen der Kommunikation und der Solidarität aufbauen.

In dem wir uns kollektiv stärken, bekämpfen wir staatliche, repressive Mechanismen. In dem wir Solidarität zeigen und gegen Isolation kämpfen, in dem wir militanten Antifaschismus unterstützen, bekämpfen wir Ungerechtigkeit und Diskriminierung, in dem wir Selbstverteidigung wählen, bekämpfen wir die Intervention des Staates, in dem wir offensiv sind, bekämpfen wir Patriarchat!

Solidarity with the 129-Lina

Tomorrow, at the 8th of Semptember, couple of days before the elections,  the first trial against the accused under  the 129 around Lina will take place infront of the .In this first phase of trials four people are facing accusations about formulation of a criminal organisation (129) and militant actions against nazis. One of them, Lina, is already imprisoned. Describing her as a young and calm teenager being radicalised by her boyfriend and making comments on her appearence the mainstream media propaganda not only developed a sexist narrative but also targeted her personaly giving informations to nazi structures proving the perfect collaboration among nazis, cops and media. Especially in the Neonazi-magazine “Compact”. Intern informations of the files were published in the magazine. This makes the collaboration of justice and nazis once again visible and you can not gloss over it.

Every antagonistic activity, especially offensive and visible actions reinforces state repression. The german state by creating organizations from scratch, involve random people in them and repress them with high charges, this time is targeting militant antifascism. Imposing the narrative of the two extremes is trying to delegitimize this way of action against nazis. In a counntry where nazis are still getting organized and being active, terrorizing immigrants, making progroms and attacking, where cops are always involved in nazi structures and are implifying racial profiling in every change, militant antifascism is necessary.

For us, fascism cannot be deafeted with laws or institutional ways. We do not claim a less fascist and racist bourgois democracy and we do not want to “re educate” nazis. We want to overcome the existing conditions and in this fight, antifascism still plays a important role. Return to them a small ammount of the violence they spread is a way of our self-defense and our political analysIs: we do not tolerate antisocial behaviours based on discrimination and oppression. Militant antifascism is for us an attack on hierarchies, oppresive behaviors and dominancies. Is inextricably connected with our perspective of an emancipatory society, liberated from capitalism, patriarchy and racism. We do not perceive militant antifasim as a way of gaining power but rather than a way of destroying it. By supporting this way of action we support self organisation and self defense, equality and liberation, feminism and offensiveness.

And whoever faces these accusations will find us stading in solidarity with them. Beyond personal relationships and political affinities we stand next to people affected by state repression. In a moment where the state is trying to isolate, disconnect and target people we should create bridges of communication and solidarity.

By empowering collectivity we fight state repressive mechanisms, by showing solidarity we fight isolation, by supporting militant antifascism we fight injustice and discrimination, by choosing self defense we fight state intervation, by choosing offensiveness we fight patriarchy!

Instant access to products of consumerism without moving from your couch? Delivery services are building their business on this and have expanded a lot especially in times of the pandemic lockdown. People, mostly BIPoCs, driving around on bikes with colorful backpacks and jackets. Platform capitalism, a way of making business by connecting sellers and buyers – faster, at any time of the day, from door-to-door.

Behind these newest business lie the newest forms of exploiting workers. Flexible as in unreliable, here and there, couple-of-hours underpaid shifts or 12-hours-shift cycling on your bike in temperatures below 0 degrees. A control over workers through their tracking of every movement is inherent to the app the need for work. Working-times that go beyond the usual opening hours of a supermarket. The company has not only been criticized for the bad working conditions, but also for using publics paces for their mobile storage vans. Nonetheless, the business is expanding and now opening a franchise in Berlin-Neukölln. Surely, Friedrichshain is soon to come. All this is made possible by a city, that has come so expensive that many people migrating here are forced to take shit paying jobs and work off their asses in order to make a living. Bilingual apps make it possible for non German-speaking people to get a job, whereas the translation services is limited to information to make them work, however not teaching them about their rights.

Against this, workers from Gorilla have self-organized and engaged in strikes and blockades in the past weeks. This has been initiated as one worker was sacked for being a couple of minutes late. However, the workers do not just stand up against their shitty working conditions, but an entire bureaucratic war that is waged against workers in this country as worker struggles are mediated by legal frames and existing workers unions.

We stand in solidarity with those that fight against capitalist exploitation. Those that chose to self-organize and reject forms of representation. We feel encouraged by the courage and the risk that the gorillas riders are taking. Who besides the precarious working conditions and the threat of being fired they are determinate and not afraid to take it up with this company. They are an actual example of what we can achieve through self-organization.

Further, we see self-organization as having the potential to go beyond the protest against bad working conditions. Self-organization can be a step towards growing closer and overcoming the isolation that many people experience in their daily life. Self-organization is a step towards creating networks of solidarity which work against the violent mechanisms of capitalism and breed hope and resistance.

Es waren die intensivsten Tage des Kampfes, die wir uns hätten vorstellen können. Tage die die Pläne von Staat und Kapital in eine Katastrophe verwandelt haben. Mit der Verteidigung der Nachbarinnenschaft gegen den Aufbau der roten Zone angefangen haben wir die richtigen Schlüsse aus den Aggressionen von Staat und Immobilienwirtschaft gegen die Menschen, die in dieser Stadt leben, gezogen. Die Errichtung von Gefahrengebieten und Roten Zonen, in denen die Menschen zu einfachen Zielen für die Bullen werden um eine Atmosphäre der Isolation und Angst zu erschaffen, ist zur Normalität in dieser Stadt der Reichen geworden. In den letzten Jahren gab es viele Momente, an denen wir, auf die der Staat zielte, dazu verdammt waren in beinahe stillem Protest an den Hamburger Gittern zu stehen, bewacht von einer militarisierten Polizei. Wir erinnern uns an die Räumung der Ohlauer Schule in Kreuzberg, die Räumung des Kiezladens Friedel54 und all der anderen Projekte wie Syndikat, Meuterei und unsere Nachbarinnen der Liebig34. Dies kann nicht mehr toleriert werden – die Menschen müssen sich erheben!

Mit der nötigen Konsequenz haben wir es daher alle zusammen über 48 Stunden geschafft, lokal und dezentral offensiv auf die Straße zu gehen und unsere Strukturen und Ideen militant zu verteidigen und Druck auf unsere Feinde aufzubauen, bevor sie überhaupt ihre repressive Operation starten konnten. Wir haben uns dazu entschieden nicht darauf zu warten, dass die Lakaien des Staates wieder eine Zone aufbauen, in der sie ohne probleme autonome Strukturen und rebellische Nachbar*innenschaften ins Visier nehmen können. Darum wurde eine autonome Zone um die Rigaer 94 zu einer Stunde errichtet, in der die Cops sie nicht erwartet hätten. Die Straßen wurden zusammen mit vielen Menschen abgeriegelt und eine lange Zeit wurden die Barrikaden mit den Mitteln der autonomen Bewegung verteidigt. Bis zum Einsatz von von schwerem technischen Gerät, einem Räumpanzer und zwei Wasserwerfern waren die Cops nicht in der Lage in unsere Straße einzubrechen. Lasst uns diese Ereignisse als einen Vorschlag an alle Menschen in und außerhalb der Metropole verstehen, die anstehenden Angriffe zu beantworten. Nicht nur gegen die Rigaer 94, sondern auch gegen die Köpi, alle bedrohten Projekte und unsere Ideen, sowie jede staatliche Attacke und seine bloße Präsenz.

Aber der staatliche und kapitalistische Krieg sind noch nicht vorbei. Nicht nur werden sie einmal mehr versuchen die Rigaer 94 anzugreifen, sondern auch jede einzelne Struktur und jedes Individuum, die alltägliche gegen diese erstickte Gesellschaft kämpfen. Wir sollten uns weiter organisieren und unsere solidarischen Netzwerke ausweiten. Wir rufen dazu auf die Kämpfe nicht nur im Nordkiez zu intensivieren und die Kontinuität dieser rebellischen Nachbarschaft zu stärken, sondern auch dezentral in jeder Ecke dieser Stadt.

Lasst uns alle zusammen weiter gegen die Stadt der Reichen kämpfen. Bis jeder Plan von Staat und Kapital zu Asche wird!

Freundinnen und Gefährtinnen der Rigaer 94

Thanks to every support that was developed during the last weeks and especially the last two days of preparation and collective fight against our common enemies, we managed to develop the most intensive fighting days that we could have imagined. Days which turned every plan from the state and capital into a catastrophy. A great reminder to ourselves, our collective and its supporters, how important the movement’s networks, infrastructures of solidarity and self-organisation are.

Starting with the defence of the neighbourhood against the establishment of the red zone we drew the right concequence out of the aggressions of the state and the real estate market, against the people living in the city. The announcement of dangerzones and red zones, where people get easy targets for the police in order to create an atmosphere of isolation and fear, has become normality in this city of the rich. We saw in the last years many occassions where we as those who are targeted by the states attacks had to stand in almost silent protest at the fences, guarded by a militarized police force. Let’s name the eviction of the Ohlauer School in Kreuzberg, the eviction of the Kiezladen Friedel54 and all the other projects as Syndikat, Meuterei and our neighboors Liebig34. This fact can not be tolerated anymore – the people have to rise up!

Therefore, as a result,for more than 48 hours, we managed all together, locally and decentrally to take the offensive into the streets and defend our structures and ideas through militant means and put pressure before the enemies had even started their repressive-operations. We decided not to wait for the lackeys of the state to create another zone where they can easily target autonomous structures and rebellious neighborhoods. That’s why an autonomous zone was build up around the Rigaer94 at an hour the cops did not expect. Streets got closed together with many people and a long-lasting defence of barricades happened, with the means of the autonomous movement . Until the deployment of heavy technical equipment as an eviction tank and two watercanons the police was not able to enter our street. Let’s understand these events as a proposal to the people in the metropolitan field and outside of it, to answer the upcoming attacks. Not only against Rigaer94, also against Köpi and all the other threatened projects and our ideas, as well as any attack of the state and its merely presence.

But the state and capital war is not over yet. They will not only attempt to attack Rigaer94 again but also attack and target every single structure and individual who fights against this suphocated society on a daily basis. We should continue getting organised and expand our networks of solidarity broader. We call for more intensive fighting not only around Nordkiez to reinforce the continuity of this rebellious neighborhood, but also decentrally, in every corner of the city.

Let’s continue fighting all together against the city of the rich. Until every initial plan from the state and capital are ashes!

Heute, am Abend des 16. Juni blicken wir auf einen kämpferischen Tag und eine temporäre autonome Zone zurück und schauen mit der geballten Faust nach vorne. Ja, wir werden uns noch lange mit einem breiten Lächeln im Gesicht an die Barrikaden in der Rigaer Straße und ihre kollektive Verteidigung erinnern. Schritt für Schritt verbrennen sich Senat und Eigentümer an der versuchten Zerstörung unseres Hauses die Finger.

Nach der Straße gibt es nun auch auf juristischer Ebene Probleme. Ein Oberverwaltungsgericht hat die Ausgangslage für die Verantwortlichen beim Senat und der Briefkastenfirma für den Angriff auf unser Haus beträchtlich erschwert. Letzterer, vertreten durch Bernau, Luschnat und von Arentin, wurde untersagt, überhaupt unsere Räume zu betreten. Die Bullen sollen zudem nur Zugang zu Treppenhaus, Dachboden, Hof, etc. bekommen, nicht jedoch zu den privaten Wohnungen.

***In diesem Moment wird somit dem nun für zuständig erklärten Sachverständigen von unseren Anwälten kommuniziert, dass er den Brandschutz in unserem Haus, ohne Gefahr für seine Gesundheit begutachten und problemlos rein- und rauskommen kann. Selbstverständlich ohne auch nur einen Bullen, so wie wir es schon im Januar 2021 erklärt haben. Und wir halten unser Wort. Das sollte heute erneut mehr als klar geworden sein. Ganz im Gegensatz zu dem Wort zahlreicher Politiker*innen, ob im Bezirk oder Senat, dem der Bullen oder gar einer windigen Briefkastenfirma. Einige von ihnen wagen es immer noch zu behaupten, es gehe ihnen nicht um eine Räumung der Rigaer94.***

Wir weisen in diesem Zusammenhang darauf hin, dass wir seit November 2020 bereits mehrere Brandschutzgutachten durchgeführt und Mängel eigenständig behoben haben. Der Senat und eine Briefkastenfirma haben dies bewusst ignoriert und somit nach und nach ihr vorgeschobenes Argument, es gehe nur um die Sicherheit der Bewohner*innen der Rigaer94 und ihrer Nachbar*innen, demaskiert.

Sollte sich die Politik also für eine Stürmung entscheiden, geht sie den Weg, wie wir ihn bereits vorhersagten. In diesem Fall werden wir uns verteidigen. Dagegen, dass die Bullen alles zerstören, um unser Haus daraufhin für “unbewohnbar” erklären zu können. Dagegen, dass unser geliebter Ort und die ihm innewohnenden Ideen der Kollektivität, gegenseitigen Hilfe, Solidarität und Selbstbestimmung vernichtet werden sollen.

Heute haben wir allen, die daran gezweifelt haben gezeigt, dass wir nicht nur bereit sondern auch fähig dazu sind, den Konflikt mit dem Staat und seinen Schergen zu intensivieren. Wir haben sie zu einem Zeitpunkt getroffen, an dem sie nicht damit gerechnet haben, und auf den sie mit Sicherheit nicht vorbereitet waren. Wir bedanken uns bei allen solidarischen Menschen, Nachbar*innen und Freund*innen und blicken gespannt auf die kommenden Stunden.

Rigaer94: Our statement on the current situation

Today, on the evening of June 16, we look back on a militant day and a temporary autonomous zone and look forward with a clenched fist. Yes, we will remember the barricades in Rigaer Straße and their collective defense for a long time with a big smile on our faces. Step by step, the Senate and the owners are burning their fingers at the attempted destruction of our home.

After the street, there are now problems on the legal level. A higher administrative court has considerably complicated the starting position for those responsible at the Senate and the letterbox company for the attack on our house. The latter, represented by Bernau, Luschnat and von Arentin, was forbidden to enter our premises at all. Moreover, the cops are to be given access only to the stairwell, attic, courtyard, etc., but not to the private apartments.

At this moment, the expert, who is now declared to be responsible, is told by our lawyers that he can inspect the fire protection in our house without any danger to his health and can come in and out without any problems. Of course, without even a cop, as we have already declared in January 2021. And we keep our word. That should have become more than clear again today. Completely in contrast to the word of numerous politicians*innen, whether in the district or senate, that of the cops or even a windy letter box company. Some of them still dare to claim that it is not about an eviction of Rigaer94.

In this context, we would like to point out that we have already carried out several fire safety assessments since November 2020 and have remedied deficiencies on our own. It is up to the Senate and a letterbox company not to have accepted this and thus to have gradually unmasked their pretextual argument that it is only about the safety of the residents of Rigaer94 and their neighbors.

So, if the politicians decide to storm the building, they will go the way we already predicted. In this case, we will defend ourselves. Against the cops destroying everything in order to be able to declare our house “uninhabitable” as a result. Against the fact that our beloved place and its inherent ideas of collectivity, mutual aid, solidarity and self-determination are to be destroyed.

Today we have shown to all those who doubted it that we are not only ready but also able to intensify the conflict with the state and its henchmen. We met them at a time when they did not expect it and for which they were certainly not prepared. We thank all the people, neighbors and friends who showed solidarity and we are looking forward to the coming hours.

The time to search the conflict and intensify it is long overdue.  It’s time to go against the idea of property and the owners and take on the fight on our side, the side of the disposessed, the renters, the homeless. It is also time to resist against the occupation of our neighbourhoods, against the state and a society, that supports and contributes to its agenda and actions of systematically opressing and exploiting people based on racial ascriptions, drives away, displaces and excludes those that don’t fit or don’t want to fit in with the city of the rich. There is no reason to defend the existing and take the side of those profiting of the capitalist system. There are many reasons though to get organized together and rebel against state and capital, against authorities and its defenders and fight for the principles of selforganisation, mutual aid and a life in freedom and dignity. That is the context in which we see the defense of Rigaer94.

Rigaer94

To us, this house is a place where we chose to live and fight collectively. It is a place of organization of different local and international struggles in which we involved ourselves over the years. As a piece of the ongoing resistance in this city. Against the policestate and with it the transformation of parts of the city into so called “danger zones”, in which cops harass, control and hunt people. Against gentrification, rising rents, real estate projects, the destruction of public spaces and forced displacement. Against social isolation, egoism and the narrative of “everyone fending for themselves”.

On the contrary we stand for selforganization, mutual aid and solidarity. For taking our lives into our own hands and defending ourselves against the omnipresent paternalism. For the experiments of selforganized spaces, spaces of the struggle and a life in a collective, without mechanisms of authoritarian and patriarchal oppression. Our open spaces Kadterschmiede and the youth space Keimzelle are meeting points that allow us to stay in exchange even when the social life is supposed to be frozen.

The attack on Rigaer94

For the 17th and 18th of June, the self-proclaimed facility manager Luschnat, the “lawyers” Bernau and von Aretin and a so called fire security expert designated by them are getting ready to lead another attack against our house with the help of the police. They set out on the legal base of an ordinance by the district Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg, that is supposed to force everyone to tolerate a “site inspection to examine the fire security” of all flats and rooms. It’s unlikely that this will be a “simple fire security inspection”, since everyone involved knows, that this house was turned into what is most likely the most fire safe house in the whole city, with the help of many friends in the past months. For a similar planned attack in march, that could be averted, 500.000€ for the Hundertschafts*-cops from different federal states were already spent. This fact points towards an action having been and being set up for a longer time period. We can imagine that the cops will again establish a “red zone” a few days prior to the 17th and 18th of june, to be able to take the house by assault on the 17th, occupy the neighbouring houses and destroy walls, the fire safe doors that we installed, and many more elementary facilities in the house. Maybe Bernau, Luschnat and co. want to then declare the house to be “uninhabitable”. By that they could evict with the help of cops and private security everything in the house they’d want to. Finally they want their hired lackeys to destroy what we have built up. This would be a scenario similar to the eviction attempt of the summer 2016.

The political parties of the red-red-green senate, spearheaded by senator of the interior Geisel for the SPD, feel emboldened enough by the electoral campaign and the legal skirmishes, to dare what many have risked their political career on in the past: A fire security inspection with the goal of scouting for the next steps, a creeping eviction through the occupation of a whole neighbourhood and our house or an “all in” on the big shock of a sudden complete eviction. We cannot predict what exactly is going to happen so we don’t want to fuel further speculation. All options are leading up to one point: Rigaer94 will be attacked, with the goal of destroying us. The day of the escalation is a Day X for us. We will react accordingly to it. But we won’t wait until then. Won’t hope on a success in a juridic sideshow. Not watch motionless, while once more they threaten our selforganization.

Fighting together

The year 2020 has been in many ways a special one, though not overall better or worse than the previous years. The capitalist normality was set up with further authoritarian measures in the frame of the covid pandemic and we all had difficulties finding our ways in this new situation, with curfews and contact ban, but also in dealing with the understandable insecurity around the dealing with the medical concerns of the pandemic. When we are now asking for your solidarity in defending Rigaer94, which is much more than just “our house”, we don’t ask you to fight for us. We want to fight together with you. We want to intensify our struggles together in the different places in this city and beyond! We want to be part in the different struggles and want them to find their expression also through this house.

We think we need concrete places where we can meet, get to know eachother and organize. After the eviction of Syndikat, Liebig34, Rummelsburger Bucht, Meuterei, the displacement of Potse&Drugstore and the acute threat to Køpi we have to defend the remaining spaces of the struggle in this city by all our means. We owe this to ourselves, our ideas, and those that fought before and with us.

Start a fire

But why to attack now, why take the risk now, why put us in danger of being overrun another time? 2020 and 2021 weren‘t just the years of the pandemic and generalized states of emergency. They were also the years of uprisings and revolts, bigger and smaller moments where the vulnerability of this reality came to the surface. The state is under pressure from different sides. In Berlin, an alliance caracterized mainly by migrant groups organized the 1st of may demo, which was for the first time after many years in fact combative. Not only in Neukölln, also in Kreuzberg and Schöneberg many people stopped accepting the harassment by police. The parks have become places of rebellion against the authoritarian state that tries to destroy any recreational moments, the chances of gaining experiences and developing an own expression outside of the societal norms. The „Take Back The Night“ demonstration saw this year 3000 FLINTA*, who didn‘t follow at all the cops‘ restrictions. After the rent cap was overthrown by the justice system tenthousands of angry renters took to the streets of Kreuzberg spontaneosly and were pushing away the suprised and overstrained cops. 2020 hundreds of thousands came to Alexanderplatz to share the rage against the murder of George Floyd.

The international flame of revolt is even more visible: against racist police violence in the US, in feminist struggles in Mexico, in Columbia, in Chile, in Malaysia, in Lebanon and in Algeria… even far away from being complete, this list shows that there were worse moments to participate in changing the world and realizing our idea of freedom. Maybe there were even not many better moments. Who of us can remember times like these, with such drastic changes like in the past year? We are convinced. Let‘s light another fire and poke it!

Search the conflict

For us it‘s not important to have the same focus at any time or to use the same means of struggle to put into practice our ideas and to bring our dreams to life. We as Rigaer94 rather want to participate and grow in the fight against the capitalist, patriarcal and racist system. For a world free of domination, oppression, exploitation.

Practically we understand this as a call of duty to go into conflict with the existing in the next days and weeks . We take the attack on selforganized structures in this city serious and challenge our enemies‘ disposition to pay the price for the achievement of their goals. We will not be waiting behind the fences of the expected Red Zone in our vicinity until the last garbage of press and nazis was taken for a walk in our house. Again and again it became clear to us that juristic skirmishes and bureaucratic ping-pong will lead us to nothing. We actually fell into that trap and, acting against our political conviction, got a little bit pacified.

That is for us another reason to take care that the 17th of June will not become the beginning of the end of this house, but another step towards the selforganization of all of us. We want to create a scenario of counterattack together with you. A scenario that targets all those who profit from this system of daily expulsion and those who defend it.

We ask you to join and intensify the venture of attacking the daily order of the city of the rich. No matter if by voice, body, colours, noisy or silent, with stones, hammers or fire – lets show this sold out city, that we chose sides. Publicly, clearly visible or consipiratory in the remaining dark corners of this city. Let‘s show each other, that tenderness, solidarity, autonomy and self oranization are no empty paroles but the keys to our freedom, that we work on every day. Let‘s escalate our conflict against real estate companies and speculators, dynamic start-ups and their loyal followers, police, municipality and institutions within the vicinity of our neighbourhoods and beyond them – to take position.

If they try to break us, we‘ll explode!
