Deeply saddened by the passing of Dr A Q Khan. He was loved by our nation bec of his critical contribution in making us a nuclear weapon state. This has provided us security against an aggressive much larger nuclear neighbour. For the people of Pakistan he was a national icon.

Saddened to learn of the passing of Sardar Sikandar Hayat Khan, former President of AJK as well as former PM of AJK. His contribution to the Kashmir cause & service to the Kashmiri people were invaluable. My prayers & condolences go to his family.

I have ordered immediate assistance on an emergency basis for the Harnai, Balochistan, earthquake victims & for an immediate assessment of the damage for timely relief & compensation. My condolences & prayers go to the families who lost their loved ones.

اگر اس پر توجہ نہ دی گئی تو غریب ممالک میں بڑھتی ہوئی غربت کے باعث امیر اور غریب ممالک کے مابین عدمِ مساوات بڑھتی جائے گی جس سے ان غریب ممالک سے امیر ممالک کیطرف معاشی ہجرت کے رجحان میں شدت اور تیزی آئے گی اور دنیا بھر میں معاشی و سماجی عدمِ استحکام میں اضافہ ہو گا۔

میری حکومت اپنے ان تمام شہریوں کی پڑتال کرے گی جن کے نام پنڈورا پیپرز میں آئے ہیں اور اگر کچھ غلط ثابت ہوا تو ہم مناسب کارروائی عمل میں لائیں گے۔ عالمی برادری سے میری التماس ہے کہ ماحولیاتی تغیرات کے بحران کیطرح اس صریح ناانصافی کے تدارک کا بھی بدرجہ اتم اہتمام کیا جائے۔

جیسے ایسٹ انڈیا کمپنی نے ہندوستان کی دولت پر ہاتھ صاف کیا ویسے ہی ترقی پذیر ممالک کی حکمران اشرافیہ بھی کر رہی ہے۔بدقسمتی سے امیر ممالک کو بڑے پیمانے پر کی جانے والی لوٹ مار روکنے میں دلچسپی ہے نہ ہی وہ لوٹی گئی یہ دولت (ترقی پذیر ممالک کو) واپس لوٹانے کو تیار ہیں۔

دو دہائیوں سےزائد عرصےکی میری جدوجہد اس اعتقاد پر محیط ہےکہ ممالک غریب نہیں بلکہ بدعنوانی افلاس کو جنم دیتی ہے کیونکہ سرمائے کا رخ عوام سے موڑ دیا جاتا ہے۔ پھر وسائل کی یہ چوری (روپےکی) قدر میں کمی کا بھی سبب بنتی ہےاور ہزاروں جانوں کےفقر وافلاس کی نذر ہوجانےکی راہ ہموار ہوتی ہے۔

ہم ٹیکس چوری اور بدعنوانی سےجمع کرکے منی لانڈرنگ کےسہارےبیرونِ ملک ٹھکانے لگائی جانےوالی اشرافیہ کی ناجائز دولت بے نقاب کرنےوالےپنڈورا پیپرز کا خیرمقدم کرتے ہیں۔یو این سیکرٹری جنرل کےفیکٹی پینل نے ان غیرملکی ٹھکانوں میں چھپائی گئی (چوری شدہ) رقم کا ہوشربا تخمینہ7 کھرب $ لگایاہے۔

If unchecked, inequalities between rich & poor states will increase as poverty rises in the latter. This in turn will lead to a flood of economic migration from the poor to the rich states, causing further economic & social instability across the globe.

My govt will investigate all our citizens mentioned in the Pandora Papers & if any wrongdoing is established we will take appropriate action. I call on the international community to treat this grave injustice as similar to the climate change crisis.

Just like the East India Company plundered the wealth of India, ruling elites of developing world are doing the same. Unfortunately, the rich states are neither interested in preventing this large-scale plunder nor in repatriating this looted money.

My over-two decades struggle has been premised on the belief that countries are not poor but corruption causes poverty because money is diverted from being invested in our people. Also, this resource-theft causes devaluation, leading to thousands of poverty-related deaths.

We welcome the Pandora Papers exposing the ill-gotten wealth of elites, accumulated through tax evasion & corruption & laundered out to financial "havens". The UN SG's Panel FACTI calculated a staggering $7 trillion in stolen assets parked in largely offshore tax havens.
