DoT gives radiation clean chit to mobile towers in Bihar

Muzaffarpur: 3 smugglers held with gold worth 3 crore

The action came after officials of DRI Muzaffarpur unit got a tip-off that three persons will be travelling with huge quantity of smuggled gold in a luxury car. The car was intercepted at Gaighat Maithi Toll plaza in the district, said officials, adding that it was also seized.

State enhances pension for JP Senanis

chief minister Nitish Kumar said that the state government has decided to increase the pension amount of JP Senanis, who spent one to six months in jail from 5000 to 7500 and for those who spent more than six months in jail to 15,000 from the existing 10,000.

Power crunch hits Bihar; govt pays 20 crore more a day to buy power

To meet its deficit, Bihar was still bidding at a high rate and spending an additional 20 crore per day to purchase power through private sources. This was in addition to its average monthly bill of 800 crore to the NTPC for supply of thermal power from central sector. Yet, it was unable to get the required quantity of power.
