    If you read nothing else on twitter in the next few days, please read this thread. The Covid-unvaccinated are not just endangering themselves, or even unvaccinated kids. They are endangering anyone who needs hospital attention for literally any other illness or injury.

    When I got Covid in 2020 and spent weeks in the hospital, it was harrowing. But it was nothing compared to what my family is dealing with now—also as a result of Covid. This is a Covid horror story in which no one actually gets Covid, and it could still happen to anyone 🧵

    The annual suicide data released by the Australian Bureau Statistics today shows suicides fell last year, even in Victoria. Not a convenient narrative for those who weaponise mental ill health for their own political gain. But facts matter. Stop manipulating people's distress.

    General tip for early career writers, as this comes up a lot when I’m editing. There’s a big difference between writing an essay and writing an article. Really important to grasp the difference in who you’re writing for and how you’re talking to them.

    Facebook hired a consulting firm to review and respond to Facebook Marketplace complaints. They gave those workers "large unfettered" access to Facebook Messenger inboxes. Contract workers used that access to "spy on romantic partners" because of course they did.
