    An internal outage has nothing to do with the internet and how it communicates. This was likely a cyberattack and not because the internet is held together with bubblegum and string. Only a twit that doesn’t know anything about technology would say such a thing.

    need to issue a correction: the team dispatched to the Facebook site had issues getting in because of physical security but did not need to use a saw/ grinder. echoes on sourcing side, it was my mistake and I own it. Apologies

    There is no legitimate use for stalkerware. If you, for some reason, feel the need to track what someone else is doing on their device, you can do it with their consent, using an app that clearly identifies itself and what it does.

    Facebook hired a consulting firm to review and respond to Facebook Marketplace complaints. They gave those workers "large unfettered" access to Facebook Messenger inboxes. Contract workers used that access to "spy on romantic partners" because of course they did.

    I see that I will be putting this app through its paces in my copious free time.

    Malloc, a Y Combinator-backed startup, built an app to detect device activity that could be construed as mobile spyware. Co-founder told me they used real stalkerware to train the app's machine learning model, which helps to detect new threats over time.
