Damage to your new rental can happen from the get-go. Here are a few ways you can add your own style to a rental that won't stop you getting your complete bond at the end of your lease:
- When moving furniture in, adding felt stickers or a slice of cork to the underside of each leg. This will make moving furniture around less risky, especially on wood floors.
- Lean your art against the wall rather than hang it. Use gripper stickers on the base of the frame to prevent sliding, and felt stickers on the edge that leans on the wall to prevent any marking.
- Tension rods can be used to hang shower curtains or window drapes without requiring holes to be drilled into walls.
- Consider creating a portable garden box with wheels on the bottom to make it easy to remove when it comes time to move.
