    Yes, case matters, and for robots.txt directives as well. You can help Google understand which urls are the canonical ones via internal linking, using rel canonical, or even by redirecting mixed case to lowercase.

    Can spam traffic impact core web vitals scores via CrUX data? Via : Google sees a lot of weird spam traffic & it has a good understanding of that. For CWV, there are requirements for the data we use. Our systems are tuned to avoid that spam traffic:

    Once again via : Have many urls categorized as "Discovered, not indexed"? -> Increase content quality overall on the site. Make sure all published pages (indexable) are fantastic. Then G's systems can be convinced of the quality & crawl & index more

    Remember the test in Chrome Canary (Android) where Chrome shows the other search listings at the top of the page? Here's a similar test for desktop -> Chrome adding ‘Side search’ panel that will make it easier to browse Google results

    Will be interesting to see how this progresses (beyond Facebook...) And will also be interesting to see how people will search for, and consume, information/data in the metaverse. We already see how kids are finding info differently, and that's not even in the metaverse. :)

    Great example showing the diff b/t short & thin content. Short DOES NOT mean thin. If the content meets or exceed user expectations, then it's not thin. This page ranks #1 for the target query & the main content is just 36 words. But it absolutely gives users the info they seek.

    Remember, Google is evaluating quality/relevance over time, so the use of machine learning + extended evaluation = VERY hard to say which factors are most important. Which is why IMO the "kitchen sink" approach is smart. Improve the site overall... Check out the post from Chris:

    Shared this yesterday based on John's latest hangout. Site thought it was hit by the Page Experience Update after seeing a drop in early September. And the site has "need improvement" CWV scores. Nope, the drop wouldn't be related to the Page Experience Update... See more below
