    This is incredible! Hundreds of people gathered in South Lake Tahoe to thank and say goodbye to all the firefighters who helped save their city! This happened as many firefighters were leaving town to go home after the so they were very surprised ❤️

    With a heavy foot on the bass drum like John Bonham, the stratus clouds levee has broken so to speak, making early inroads this evening. Stratus already reached Santa Rosa before 9 pm, a pretty good intrusion for a September evening, typically this is our offshore winds season.

    I get that there’s a Netflix thing about this, but the other launches had wall to wall coverage and Bezos did multiple tv interviews. Plus shooting normies into orbit seems like a much more effective medium for normalizing space tourism than glorifying rich folks’ joy rides.

    Kind of strange how little attention this got relative to the billionaire vanity flights of Bezos and Branson, especially because this is much more impressive.

    SpaceX has launched four amateurs on a private flight to circle Earth for three days. It's the first time a rocket has streaked toward orbit with no professional astronauts on board.

    A common criticism of FB workers is: If they're unhappy why don't they quit? I've talked to dozens and it's more complicated than that. Some do feel like they can change the company and they work toward that. Then they come up against the bureaucracy.

    and I saw this time and again last year in internal threads and reports. Lots of ppl at FB want to fix this stuff. So they put in the work to make the case internally. The problem is they end up hitting a wall when fixes conflict with growth/revenue/public image

    As FB works on Instagram for Kids, it wouldn't be surprising to see the company spin this now revealed research to suggest that the reason why it has to make a children-specific app is because the main app is toxic.
