Josh was exploited by every part of this system: lied to by his job agent, forced to work for 40 cents/hr, and then ultimately killed by Work for the Dole. Here I am, on behalf of his family, retelling his tragic story & demanding for this program to be shut down

the point of politics is listening to what ppl want, & delivering it — NOT shouting us down cause we don’t like this technocratic cowardice. In a period of economic turmoil, ppl want more than the PROMISE of a white paper. jfc, you’re paid too well to be this bad at politics

Jesus it’d be easier to accept some of the “you need to let us win government first” nonsense if it didn’t come from the exact same sycophantic hacks that cheered on the party’s losing approach to the last three elections.

Labor MPs pump out like 2 books a year, but can’t find the time to write one single employment policy (despite having several well-funded think tanks who could basically just do this for them)

Very good point from Greg. It’s beyond embarrassing that the Labor party doesn’t have a ...labour policy

blackpilling on a friday night thinking about our 2 vehicles for immediate progressive change -- the ALP & unions. Today, the ALP said they'll write a paper on full employment if they get elected & the hospo union announced they'll charge members to talk to them. time for a drink

“Why isn’t Scott Morrison talking to people” = “I want the prime minister to make me completely redundant”. The good news is it’s working!

The Silicon Valley union model is here & it’s quite bad. You... shouldn’t charge members for the right to talk to you on the damn phone

If I was the ALP, i simply would announce: -a commitment to 2% unemployment -a big expansion of secure, public jobs (in environmental, health + caring services) -abolition of all mutual obligaton programs like Work for the Dole -a raise of all entitlements to the poverty line

Wait....so you’re announcing that you’re GOING to come with an employment policy IF you win the election that’s the same policy you already came up with in 1945 that nobody knows or cares about. Cool!

Food, entertainment, and games such as darts, dominoes, snooker, and bowls were introduced. Some pubs were designated food houses where nourishing state-made pies were served. Others boasted billiard tables and bowling greens. One even had a cinema
