    If I was the ALP, i simply would announce: -a commitment to 2% unemployment -a big expansion of secure, public jobs (in environmental, health + caring services) -abolition of all mutual obligaton programs like Work for the Dole -a raise of all entitlements to the poverty line

    Food, entertainment, and games such as darts, dominoes, snooker, and bowls were introduced. Some pubs were designated food houses where nourishing state-made pies were served. Others boasted billiard tables and bowling greens. One even had a cinema

    my pub take: the pub is too expensive. it excludes too many poor ppl that need social connection, hot meals, & a stiff drink. We need nationalised pubs & breweries, with fully unionised staff, accessible seating, & price caps on booze & food
