    I'm reminded of slave catchers by what we're doing to Haitians seeking asylum at the border. I realize that seems harsh, but riding a horse and chasing and flogging black folks is not acceptable imagery or act.

    Why isn't this being shared more? Where are our elected officials? It's one of those days where I find it difficult to imagine we can end any injustice here if we can't speak up against war crimes carried out with our tax money, especially ones concerning killing kids.

    The US drone strike in Kabul on Aug. 29th killed Zemari Ahmadi, an engineer working for an American aid group, and 10 members of his family, including 7 children. He was never carrying explosives, he was carrying water to his family. This is a war crime.

    The modest tax increases I’m proposing would cost a Buffalonian in a $100,000 home less than $30 a year. That’s the cost of a couple cups of coffee, but that $30 means our budget is closer to being balanced and our public services are funded. It’s a GOOD investment.
